Unfortunately, SB stated that unless a viable tip comes in, or, DeOrr' body is discovered... the case is basically at a stand still. He also said, in the small town of Lemhi county, they don't use/have access to a grand jury, that's disappointing to me. IMO, if this was put before a GJ, it would go to trial, and I don't think I'm alone in that opinion.
I have googled DeOrr's name and come on Websleuths every day for a year. With everything that is known and suspected, I find it hard to accept that we still don't know what happened to this little boy and that he hasn't been found. My heart hurts today as much as it did one year ago.

How could the case go to trial? What would the charge be? What would the evidence be?

Not being snarky.

I know Jackeee, DeOrr has captured the publics hearts, and the more the parents tried to shut it down, the bigger it got. there needs to be a large award offered for information.

I know you're not being snarky. How about... the lack of evidence? DEORR' BODY? And, zero evidence he was even there, the
9 failed polygraphs, the changing (I lost count) storyline, etc, etc.

Is there enough evidence, or, lack of evidence (in this case) for a trial? That would be up to a GJ.

The creek couldn't have been too noisy as IR was able to ask GGP (who was pacing up on the ridge) what was wrong:

“I was down there fishing for a while and that’s when I noticed Bob was on the ridge pacing back and forth,” Reinwand says. “I asked him what was going on and he said, ‘Little DeOrr is missing,’ and I was like, ‘What?’”

Reinwand says Walton appeared stressed and worried.

“I walked up to the bank and I talked to Bob a little bit more about where DeOrr might be,” Reinwand says. “We looked in the camper, we looked all around the area and underneath the vehicles. I went up in the hills to where the reservoir was and looked around.”

So we're back to CoverMeCagney's question: "Why on earth would the other adults not have shouted to Isaac first to see if DeOrr was with him? Surely that would be the first thing you'd do?!?!"

But he didn't hear shouting. He saw his friend pacing, and then spoke to him. He doesn't say whether he stepped away from the water, or shouted, or what.

I mean, yeah, maybe the stream wasn't that loud. I don't know, I'm just guessing based on having grown up fishing in that kind of stream. And I'm not sure it matters. It's easy for us to sit here and say why didn't they do this that or the other thing, but we weren't there and it wasn't our kid missing. What seems obvious to us in the calm of hindsight may not have seemed obvious to them even if they managed to stay calm. Which I highly doubt they managed to do.

I'm not convinced they're guilty. I'm not convinced they aren't, either. It seems like there's evidence in favor of just about any theory out there. I mean, I'm not sure I'm even ruling out Bigfoot :D

Good point, one more questionable question. :/ I honestly don't know what to believe. Are these people really that good ? Idk, but I kind of doubt it. There's a reason that LE and two independent Private Investigators think they're lying about what happened. I have to trust that. I just have to believe something at this point, because I don't know what else to believe. Give us some evidence saying something else. Please.

Just finished Chelsea's special. :tears: The pain felt by Trina and Vernal's sister is palpable. My heart just breaks for them. I can't imagine a scenario where VK doesn't know what's going on but man, there are times when he just comes across as so sincere. JA... I have no words for her...

The sad fact of the reward $$$ is that the first PI wanted to offer one, but both parents refused. That particular fact alone makes my blood pressure spike. Grr
He shared this info. In an interview I found on YouTube video. Not sure if I can link from there.

Here's where I'm at, these four aren't smart. That's why everyone has caught them in so many lies. However, without a body (dead or alive) LE's hands are tied. They aren't that good, I have faith we will see them fall apart any day now...

Would it be difficult to pace with an oxygen tank? I haven't really been around anyone using an oxygen tank so it's difficult to visualize. I wouldn't think being around a fire would be safe but I could be totally wrong. TIA

I don't think IR did anything to Deorr but his memory seems selective, imo. I think he's covering for someone but I'm not sure who or what.

Thinking on it, that's a good point, GGP pacing with his O2 tank. Hmmm......

I've also been rethinking IR. Maybe he uses his so called "disability" to his advantage. I get the impression that he's quite intelligent, yet to some he may not come across that way. Could it be that he realizes that and knows how to use it to his advantage ?

Exactly my thoughts.

I also remember back in that one interview, that IR said a few months later after the incident.... (paraphrased)... Yeah, I heard he's on oxygen NOW . What the heck is that all about ? Ok, one more time.... :banghead:

I getcha. Though I'm starting to believe that IR is the smartest one of the bunch.

ramsey's, celis's, Anthony's, redwine...horman...irwin...none are cut from the same cloth but all got away with murder. IMO.

Yes--my thoughts exactly after watching his interviews and listening to WS's interview with SB.

Yeah, he's actually pretty smooth isn't he ?

I have followed this case from the beginning and thought I was sure of the parent's involvement but today after listening to all the new interviews multiple times I have swung back and forth on a pendulum of doubt and certainty all day. "What if" keeps going thru my head...what if he took off so fast as toddlers can do and just disappeared forever. What if "what's done is done" was just a pragmatic, crotchety old man's way of saying what everyone had to know was that after three days of searching with no trace of him found then most likely there was no hope for his survival. What if it all happened the way they said it did and that precious child is still out there waiting to be found. Then the pendulum swings back and I remember all the different stories and differing versions of the day and all the strange verbiage.

I can't remember if it has ever been stated how far out they went from the campground in the initial search and if it was done in all directions expanding the circle further out as they went back for further searching. I truly would like to know just how large an area has been searched and how exactly it was searched. I wish it wasn't a 6 hour drive for me because I feel like I would be up there every weekend looking for him otherwise. Someone needs to bring this child home! Breaks my heart that he's been somewhere all alone for the last year and can't even be properly mourned by his family members that love him. I'm a shirttail relative of the 5 year old that drowned on the North Fork of the Boise River 10 days before Deorr disappeared and all I could think of when we marked the year anniversary of his passing was that thank God he was recovered and we didn't have to go thru the hell of not knowing his fate for the past year. I wish his grandma Trina was not going thru the not knowing. It must be hell for her.

totally (and respectfully) disagree - IMO he's the least intelligent of the bunch (IR). which will exonerate him. IMO he has nothing to do with deorr's "disappearance", which is why this rabbit hangs on his every word. I believe him. and he's been coached very carefully, no doubt.

I totally appreciate your opinion, and you could very well be right. But, coached by whom ? His attorney doesn't know anything except what he told him. So are you saying he was coached by GGP or the parents ? TIA

I just can't think of a scenario where anyone would cover for IR. The only scenario I see is him covering for GGP. This is where perhaps I think rabbit is right on his intelligence. I go back and forth...along with everyone else on here.
