I haven't posted, but I do follow this thread almost every day. Thank you for this post, I have gone through scenario after scenario in my head, and every time I come back to a very similar conclusion. I personally don't believe Deorr was ever at the campground, I believe something happened prior to and the whole camp site was staged. I always go back to, why would anyone cover something up, because they have something to hide that would come out either through examination of the child, or from the parents. I would imagine LE would have handled things differently had they come to the scene of a child that had passed, such as immediate drug tests etc.

I wanted to give the parents the benefit of the doubt back in the beginning, but their actions speak volumes to me. None of the actions I would expect from a grieving parent that has no closure on where their child has gone.

I hope that the officials can back track to the days before the camping, I whole-heartedly believe that's where the answer is.

Glad to have you here Wishes! :welcome:

Great to see people discussing theories and keeping this thing alive. I definitely see how SubtleGrace's theory could be close to what happened. My only caveat is I'm not sold on Sling Blade, I mean Issac having much involvement. If his part involved being mislead or telling a small lie fine, but I don't see how he could be responsible for much else. He has been publicly declared as the most forthcoming and least involved. I just can't imagine him holding up well to multiple interviews unless he was basically telling the truth. Anyone's guess about GGP is as good as mine, he could be the ring leader or just a loyal old goat nothing would surprise me with him.

Your posts are always right on, I just loooooooove your posts Apparition!

It is my opinion that the "Leadore Four" met in Leadore Thursday evening, but not to camp. Something happened to baby Deorr, so Vernal and Jessica drove back to Idaho Falls, to get the camper to set up an alibi. This would explain why Jessica turned her phone off at 9:38pm. GGpa and IR stayed behind, probably with Vernal's cell phone, at the campsite. Most likely working on the whiskey IR mentioned in his last interview. After Jessica and Vernal returned to Leadore, and on to the campsite, they waited until it was light, then they traveled an unknown distance to hide baby Deorr's body. When they went back to Leadore to set up the "as a family" alibi, they needed fuel after all that traveling, which is why they had to use red dye diesel, even though it's illegal, that's how empty the tank was.

Good theory. The only addition I might ponder on, is that the parents also were drugged out, or at least inebriated on alcohol when the tragic event happened. Then, the cover up happened afterwards. Not much difference really. Except, maybe the event happened the night before the arrival to the campground. Just a couple of alternative theories and timelines. Who knows.

Has that particular fact been disputed by LE or the PIs?

What specifically are you referring to ? It would be a big help if you could base your posts on something of substance. TIA

As we are not aware of how much fuel was in the tank after the first purchase, it is difficult to know why a second purchase was necessary other than a near-empty tank. For my part, I always make sure I have at least a quarter tank in my car in case of overnight emergencies. Another family member lets her car run on red for several miles before refilling.
If the additional gas was purchased at around 1pm & they then returned to the campground, no long journey was undertaken as 911 was called at 2.36 from the camp.

Yes, it's called speculating. We have no way to prove our theories, just like J and V have been unable to prove their stories and theories.

My suspicion is why they ran low on gas in Leadore before your 1:00 example, not how much they burned between 1:00 and when 911 was called. I'm curious how much gas they bought at their original purchase, BEFORE they ran out and bought the red dye fuel. There's a big difference between getting $5-10 in gas or filling their tank. If they bought a very small amount initially then that would take my suspicion away regarding the extra fuel and we can chalk it up to extremely poor planning on Vernal's part. But if they filled their tank already they have some explaining to do IMO.
For all we know they were in timber creek a night earlier than claimed, or there could be a late night trip "somewhere" Thurs night while J's phone is off.

Per your example of some people allowing tanks to run empty habitually... don't you think a trucker like Vernal would be in the habit of keeping his tank full? (Or at least above 1/4 as you and i both do). One would also assume that if you are heading to camp in a remote area you would likely fill your tank at the beginning of the journey.

No, I gathered that. As I asked before, is it disputed that the fuel was purchased in the manner it was for the reason JMA gave in the video?

Why would they need so much fuel in such a short length of time ? To the point they would be reduced to purchasing that type of fuel ? You don't find that suspicious ? If so, why not?

I always go back to the fact Issac hired a lawyer, made peace with Klein and has basically been left alone from that point forward. I get the feeling he made a deal and told the whole truth or the truth as best as his (possibly) whiskey soaked mind can remember. I do find his interviews somewhat contradictory to what LE and Klein have said, but there is no crime lying to the media. He might even keep the party line during his interviews so his friend GGP doesn't know he flipped.

It is certainly possible I am wrong, I just have a hard time seeing Issac hold up under the hot lights. Unless I'm totally off and he is criminally and legally involved in a serious crime where would he find the backbone to withstand all that pressure? He looked like he could barely handle being interviewed on his own couch, imagine how he would deal with being threatened by cops and FBI agents. "You know what they do to guys like you in prison don't you Issac, just tell us what you know and we'll make sure you don't ever face charges".

Oooooh okay I gotcha now. I thought you meant that the story WE have heard from Isaac was the truth. I believe the story we have been told by IR publicly is what J, V and/or GGP have told him to say. But yes I agree, I have thought for a long time that Isaac's private interviews with LE had a lot to do with J and V being named suspects. If we see a trial someday I see him as crown witness. I think even at the very least he would admit to LE if he didn't really see Deorr or was intoxicated and doesn't remember, and I believe LE would keep that information private in case of trial.

Sorry I misunderstood. I totally agree with that explanation.

Been out all day, sorry I was so late in getting back to you with that, KatieLiz.

No worries. I found it like right after I messaged you earlier and then I went out and am just getting caught back up now. Thank you!!

THIS! I've had suspicions about GGP for a long, long time. I think in the early days, my ideas were considered somewhat taboo. I've always wondered if GGP has a little bit of money. If you know what I mean. Just another theory. Hell, I'm full of them. :scared:

ETA: Which could also explain IR's going along.

I find it interesting that he and GGP were friends in the first place. But that it was. Now after this event in one interview GGP had not been around to visit for 6 months. Why did the friendship go south?

Sling Blade. I feel like I should feel guilty for laughing but there it is.
:)

LOL, as in " Some folks call it a Sling-blade, I call it a Kaiser Blade. Mmm hmm..."

Pfft, you don't need to apologize to me, your one of the good ones, were on the same team! I just wanted to make my thoughts more clear as well.

I don't know how well planned this crime was but if they REALLY planned it they could've even slipped Issac a mickey. I am positive you could drop 3-4 ambien into a fifth of whiskey give it a little shake hand it to Issac (glug, glug) and bring him to a Metallica concert ( or Kenney Chesney in this case) and he wouldn't wake up for hours.

Interesting, the Ambien theory was one of my earlier ones. Maybe we think a little alike.

The front door interview, right?!

He reminded me of myself if someone wakes me up too early after an ambien night. Although I hope I would put on some clothes before answering the door. Ahem.

Reminded me of that, yes. But more than that, it would have been easy for the culprits to slip some Ambien into his whiskey. If anyone has ever taken Ambien, they can imagine all kinds of things. I can just imagine the combination with whiskey. jmo

Amnesia is a side effect don't ask me about those kitty cat tights I have no memory of buying them and I don't even wear tights.

In other words - wow, I agree. And didn't he say he took a nap?

I hope so! The second option is I have early onset Alzheimer's, read your post, forgot, and just stole your theory.

I agree bluesneakers, Issac looked all kinds of messed up for that "interview". Does Ambien make you sweat or do we all have to assume Issac goes full commando every night?

I don't know if night sweats are a side effect - probably - but, um, that's not something I want to think about.
