The first 911 call was reportedly at 2:28 p.m. Does anyone know what time the first police arrived?

I don't even understand what you're getting at- but the answer is if a post comes from Klein's KIC account it can be discussed. We can't discuss comments from his followers that are rumour and unconfirmed.

KatieLiz is correct.

As the specific question/comment was not substantiated by Klein, it is not to be considered. Klein's answer could have related to 101 other possibilities (i.e. the trailer had a leak, someone wrote graffiti on it, etc), therefore the question/comment is unsubstantiated rumor and off-limits.

End of discussion/convo about TOS and moderation.

From memory the first searchers about 4pm. Trina arrived slightly before that, I think

It was me but they claim it was at 6:00 that evening and I…we were still with Search & Rescue until, what (looks to Jessica) a quarter to four?

I think it's still questionable what time she got there (or hasn't been nailed down tight, IMO):

Interviewer: "And so, when you got there, law enforcement, search and rescue, were they there?"

TBC: "Yes, they were both there. They had pulled in, what I'm understanding is, is they had got there between 10 and 15 minutes before I had."

AND

TBC had also posted on KIFI when she was answering questions that she: "was not there until about 4:48 after she had heard."

It still staggers me that it took any officials 90 minutes to respond. I would LOVE to know how many chase up calls the parents made, because I would have been constantly ringing and begging them to hurry. If there were no further calls to 911 I think it's cause for suspicion.

The only other time I recall KIC mentioning an issue with the trailer was in a KIC video where KIC questioned whether or not the trailer had remained hitched to the Suburban during that first night.
Therefore MOO that is probably the issue with the trailer which KIC mentioned in their Q and A session.

I am guessing that emergency services, during their long journey to the campground from whatever town they came from, may have phoned the adults at the campground to update them with estimated time of arrival.

Still. A helicopter shouldn't take that long, and I assume one was deployed asap t do heat seeking searches over the forest but it's by the by, I don't think it would have made any difference in finding him. But I'd have been doing my nut waiting that long!

Thanks TxJan and Cagney for helping with the time of emergency service arrival.
The "quarter to four" mentioned by V is after "6.00 that evening" MOO therefore I think V means they were with S&R either until 3.45am that night or until 3.45pm the next afternoon.

A Common chain of events would be for LE to arrive first along with any other agency first responders available and called out. SAR resources take slightly longer because they are volunteers and even though they are prepared they have to muster to respond. A helicopter in this situation would probably not be an immediate first responder it would be called after LE evaluated the need. I would guess the thought was baby Deoor would be found quickly after they first arrived. JMO

In May 2016 Issac Leuenberger age 2 went missing from Premier Lake campground in British Columbia. He was noticed missing almost immediately, and within 5 minutes many people were searching for him. Police, S&R, search dogs, about 70 volunteers, and 2 helicopters searched through the night. 16 hours later he was found, near Yankee Lake, having walked through forest all by himself, a distance of about 1.5km. Here is a map with a scale.

MOO DK's boots, although too big, would not have fallen off while walking, Does anyone know of an actual witness report which describes his boots falling off while walking?

I believe Jessica corrects him and what he meant was that they were with search and rescue FROM a quarter to four. (and therefore could not be at the store at 6:00)

1.5 km=less than 1 mile
The helicopter search for deorr had a 3 mile radius I believe.

Am I missing the connection? Or were you pointing out that the child was able the travel a mile while people were searching?

With it being a National Park, is it possible that LE and SAR had to wait for park authorities or bureaucratic red tape to commence any investigation?

from:

Jurisdiction[edit]

There are several types of National Park Service jurisdiction. Jurisdiction is set by the enabling legislation for each individual unit of the NPS and is considered part of the Special Maritime and Territorial Jurisdiction of the United States. Law enforcement on NPS lands with exclusive jurisdiction is solely conducted by NPS Law Enforcement Rangers (field officers) or the US Park Police. Many NPS units have concurrent jurisdiction and share law enforcement authority with their state and/or local county law enforcement agencies. Some National Park Service units have proprietary or partial jurisdiction where law enforcement authority for certain serious incidents lies with the state or county.[67] Most NPS units have memorandums of understanding with outside law enforcement agencies, so that policies are in place when and if outside agency assistance is needed.

I do understand your thoughts koios, though I don't know how the landscape around BC Lake area compares to Timber Creek c/g- is BC Lake area fairly level, there appear to be hiking trails etc and many cleared areas ?.

Timber Creek appears to be a 'rougher' area from what I've read (willing to be corrected) . Steep banks to a sometimes fast flowing creek, stoney/boulderish ground, and probably large animals of prey - and again only from what I've read - the tree line appears to be across the creek from the c/g? I understand it is very difficult to track and find a small child in a forest, but if that occurred would little Deorr have to cross the creek to access a forested area.? I may sound confused, but I am honestly trying to "be there" in little Deorr's big boots..

Anyway - Deorr was reported missing on Friday 10 July.
3 days later (Monday 13 July) his parents say "He must have been abducted". The creek was searched again on Tuesday 14 July, and on Friday 17 July a dive team was called in to search the reservoir.

It really doesn't sit well with me that parents of a missing tiny child in such an area say 3 days later "he must have been abducted" when the largest body of water in the vicinity hasn't been investigated yet, and there is still a chance of taken by a mountain lion.

Also I am a bit suspicious of the parents telling us they left DK - who they tell us wouldn't leave their side (paraphrased) - while they explore in an unknown wild area and he was content to stay with GGP.? Odd but only imo.

I have rambled here, sorry all. Happy for Sillybilly to delete my post 'cos it makes little sense I suppose. I go over and over it all and this is written out of sheer sadness and frustration. All IMO, and JMO.
