Hey!

from the article posted by Henry2326 in post #621:

“My 2-year-old son…we can’t find him,” DeOrr’s mother, Jessica Mitchell, told a dispatcher during a 911 call made around 2:30 p.m. that day. “He was wearing cowboy boots, pajama pants and a camo jacket, and he’s got shaggy blond hair.”

Is this the "same" camo jacket LE found in their home??

It will be 2 years on Monday, July 10th that little DeOrr "disappeared"!!

Where are you DeOrr!?!

It was never determined if it was the same jacket. Seems like their excuse was that they had more than one of the same style jacket.

If you go to the Deorr Kunz Voices page on Facebook and click on the picture of Deorr from June 27th, and read the comments, Vernal is on there defending himself and man, does he have a foul mouth.

I think he's more likely to break than Jessica. I think Jessica has convinced herself of her innocence. One of these days VDK is going to spill it all.

I was surprised to see Klein said he believed little D had been at that campsite. I was leaning towards him being elsewhere. I still think Snake River somehow plays into this. VDK accidentally said it twice during that first TV interview. Leakage...

Thanks for all of the links, everyone. I get a lump in my throat when I come to this thread and find no progress has been made. Here we are at two years! And still none of the four adults have been cleared. It's truly a crying shame. Tell the truth, for pity's sake!

I just re-watched the initial 15-minute interview and, as when I saw it the first time, I was struck by how VDK said several times that he had "never been there", "didn't know the area" "didn't know the road was up there";
also that he said four times it was "such a small area"; as well as "enclosed by walls of mountains", "not much space", and "pretty well blocked in".
I know speech patterns vary over cultures, circumstances, and age-groups but I felt these reiterations were unusual.

Two years today, two whole years. Where are you, DeOrr?

I'm encouraged by the Vernal / reservoir news.... what's he said? Wish they'd just drain the damn thing!

I am surprised that People did not have a story today for the 2 year anniversary considering it is said that they have recently received newly released interviews for JM VDK & GGP. (Unless of course, they did, and I totally missed it!)

I feel for this little boy DeOrr.

Were there any other campers there?

This is too sad. Not only that this baby's still missing, but that there's so little as far as professional searches taking place. At least as far as I can tell. If there were, I would imagine there would be film crews, news, something, to document if it was going on. They can talk about it all they want, but I don't see them really searching. OK, so show it to me. Don't just mention it as though it were someone searching for their missing baby kitten. Geez... what an injustice for sweet baby Deorr. :tears:

His poor aunt looks so distraught. :tears: I think this has hit her hardest of all.

I agree, Auntie Tanisha has been by far the most vocal and emotional (on social media) since day dot. Now there's a Nate Eaton interview I'd like to see.

Were there any other campers there?

Yes, there was an elderly couple staying right on the other side of the campground, nearer the reservoir I think, and it was reported early on that they had had family visiting them there. They weren't close enough to see anything, but I would love to know if they were there when DeOrr vanished as they would surely have heard the frantic screams calling his name for hours. To my knowledge these people have never been publicly identified.

After the vigil, the boy's mother, grandmother and great-grandfather sat down for interviews with KTVB reporter Morgan Boydston. Each spoke about their love of DeOrr, how much he is missed, and their theories on what may have happened to him.

From another great-grandfather, who wasn't at the campground:

"I just pray to God that whoever did something sooner or later comes up and says something so the boy can get a decent funeral," he said. "Because my personal feeling is that he's buried up [on the mountain]."

Jimenez said it was important for the family to gather on Monday to remember and pray for DeOrr.

"We want to be here to help in the prayer, to help find little man and a burn a candle for him and wish him our best," he said.

Jimenez has fond memories of his great-grandson, who he last saw at a barbeque just four days before the toddler disappeared.
