Can someone help me out as I cannot find in our wonderful timeline, nor can I find in the affidavit but I know I've seen the exact movements of (was I dreaming?) AC's cell phone the night that JJ went missing.

Since not in our timeline, does someone have a link as where else would I have seen this? I wanted to review the timing of mid-podcast timing/end of podcast timing with AC's phone.

Maybe she isn't with him anymore and was going to say "he is an ex" but decided to reword it in the middle of saying it? That's how it sounded to me when I first heard it, but its JMO.

There was a video posted upthread of MG and DW walking into the courthouse hand in hand. They are still appearing to be together. MOO

My takeaways from today -

Why did the police believe MG when she told them the same evening that LV had come and taken JJ back already? They had to have known that there was something fishy with that story - with LV being in Idaho and having told police JJ was with MG in Arizona (even though MG was in Utah).

I don't think it's coincidence, if I'm understanding the testimony correctly, that:-

LV's name was down on apartment 107,
Alex's name was on apartment 175,
Alex told police to look for LV in 107,
Chad told police he'd last seen JJ at 107,
107 was empty - while LV was not answering the door at 175,
MBP told police her uncle lived in 175 when they asked her who lived there back at the beginning of November.

If the police were being sent to 107 I think the children were killed in 175 and that was always their plan before they even moved to Idaho - to avoid forensic searches of 175 and them thinking police wouldn't link the name Cox to LV. If the shooting at BB had never taken place, police wouldn't have started surveillance of LV for the jeep and they might never have known about LV living at apartment 175.

What a load of blunders (thankfully).

And leaving the storage receipt behind - even if it was in the name Ryan! I had to laugh when I heard her telling police her brother was trying to kill her for her life insurance. Run out of husbands to be the big bad villain!!

*Preliminary Hearing (Day 2 of 2) (re all charges) (@ 9am MT) – ID – Joshua Jaxon (JJ) Vallow (7) & Tylee Ashlyn Ryan (16) (JJ last seen 9/23/19 & Tylee on 9/8/19, Rexburg; found 6/9/20 buried in Daybell’s yard in Salem, ID) – only for *Chad Guy Daybell (51) arrested & charged (6/9/20) with 2 felony counts of destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence & concealing remains. Plead not guilty. $1M bond.
*Charged (7/1/20) with 2 felony counts of conspiracy to commit concealment, destruction or alteration of evidence. Bond stays at $1M.

7/27/20 Update: DECISION: Judge Eddins rules that Daybell & Vallow’s preliminary hearings in high profile case will be broadcast/live streamed to the public & hearings will be in person. One media outlet for video, One outlet for photo. Rob Wood motion to reconsider is denied. Order: Conflict of Interest: "Sealed hearings were held regarding a potential attorney conflict of interest. The Court listened carefully to the oral arguments and thoroughly reviewed documents submitted by the State and counsel for the Defendant. After exhaustive analysis, the Court finds that any conflict of interest has been adequately waived for the current proceedings. This case can proceed forward with current counsel." It is so Ordered. CourtTV will be broadcast hearing.
8/3/20 Update: They convened to the judge’s chambers for a sidebar meeting requested by Chad's attorney. Judge Faren Eddins asks for opening arguments. Both side declined. State calls Rexburg PD Detective Ray Hermosillo to the witness stand. Hermosillo did a welfare check at Vallow’s townhome on 11/26/19 in regards to JJ Vallow. He says he made contact with Daybell & Vallow’s brother Alex Cox - per the affidavit. He was asked to seize a jeep that was in Lori Vallows possession and he was asked to do intermittent surveillance. He was later asked to do the welfare check on JJ Vallow. Hermosillo says there are no photos discovered of Tylee Ryan after 9/8/19 & no photos found of JJ after 9/22/19. Also no verified sightings of the siblings after those said dates according to Hermosillo.
Exhibit #1 is birth certificate for JJ. His given birth name is Canaan Trahan born May 25, 2012.
Exhibit #2 is adoption certificate for JJ. The adoptive parents being Charles and Lori Vallow.
Exhibit #3 is JJ's revised birth certificate with his adoptive name.
Exhibit #4 is Tylee's birth certificate.
Exhibit #5 is a marriage certificate for Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow in Kauai. Dated November 5, 2019.

Exhibit #8 is a photo of JJ, Tylee and Alex. Obtained from Lori's icloud account. It's the Yellowstone photo taken Sept 8, 2019.
Exhibit #9 is a photo of JJ sitting on a couch, also from Lori's icloud account, taken Sept 22, 2019.
Exhibit #10 is an aerial photo of Chad Daybell's property in Fremont County.
Cross examined by Prior. Next witness RPD Lt. Ron Ball. Going through the collection of the two bodies from the property of Daybell's. Exhibit 11 is being admitted. Prior wants to approach the bench. Judge asks defense & prosecution to go into chambers for quick recess. Exhibit 12 has also been handed to Det. Ball, this is a document also from the ISP forensic services. Exhibit 13 has just been handed to Det. Ball, a document from the ISP forensic services as well. And cross-examined by Prior. Next witness is Rexburg PD Detective David Stubbs. Stubbs is trained in data collection & part of the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce. Exhibit #14 is the recordings from Det. Stubbs body camera from Nov 26, 2019 welfare check on JJ entered into evidence. Body cam footage played. Woods moves to cell phone records & about GPS tracking. And cross examined. Next Wynn Hill. He is employed with BYU Idaho as Dean Of Students. No info of Tylee being enrolled at BYU. Next Melanie Gibb called to the stand. She is one of the last people to have seen JJ alive, according to court documents. Gibb secretly recorded a phone conversation with Lori & Chad re JJ on 12/8/2019. Phone call is played in court. On Dec. 8, Gibb said she called police in AZ about the conversations (the recorded conversation) she says she had with Chad & Lori on 12/8/19. Done for the day; cross examination in the morning of 8/4/20. From Court site: 7/28/20: Daybell. Subpoena Special Agent Benjamin Dean (FBI) & Subpoena Special Agent Steven Daniels(FBI). 7/29/20: Daybell: Subpoena to Rylene Nowlin & Subpoena to Gary Lyu(FBI).
*Lori Norene Vallow aka Lori Norene Daybell (46/now 47) – Pretrial conference hearing for Madison County on 1/4/21 & trial set for 1/25/21; preliminary hearings for Fremont County on 8/10 & 8/11; guardianship hearing on 9/30.

She also said that she came downstairs in the morning. So my assumption is her and DW slept on the top floor of the condo. Then I assume the next level down is the kitchen area (she may have said that) and then one floor lower would be the basement. And my guess is that this was all handled after MG & DW went to bed but before they got up the next morning. Plus with the podcast ending after midnight, if my timing is accurate, most/maybe all her neighbors would be asleep for work since the next morning would be a Monday.

If they can identify the PJ's and Black Sketcher socks, that's pretty damning eye-witness testimony, since no one saw him after that night.

One comment about CD's attorney. He reminds me of the whiny kid on the playground that no one wants to play with. He's got his work cut out for him, what we saw today will likely be his MO throughout the trial. Crucify LE's protocols in order to create reasonable doubt in the jury members.

I wonder if/when LE asked MG and MW to document what JJ was wearing. This is why bringing in FBI is so important ASAP in child cases as they probably know these are significant questions to ask. Now we know, he was killed/buried in his jammies.

Bless Larry, Kay and Colby and others that sit for Justice for JJ and Tylee.

Just a thought, but Google has a ton of hits about the zombie apocalypse and duct tape.

I get the impression it's mostly to ward off zombies with some references to the more duct tape the better.

Interesting, in that I recall in other cases first off that the reason that folks would bind up and wrap this way would be to prevent bodily fluids from escaping (a la casey anthony) - and then wrapping them in more plastic prior to covering with 2 pieces of cabinetry and then rocks was merely to prevent detection of the body.

Glad in the first day of prelim the prosecution and Melanie are staying away from that chit.. so only the defense brings it up to show this sideshow vs. reality of folks killing for the main reasons most due.

I really don't trust anything Lori says, but, yes, that's new news to me. Her brother Adam is a radio personality in Wichita, KS, and he wrote a book titled "My Crazy Radio Life" and I'm tempted to order it now just to see if he mentions Lori in it.

No timestamps for Alex's phone pings are mentioned in the affidavit for Sunday September 22, when Alex brought in a sleeping JJ in the middle of a podcast recording (sometime between 9pm and midnight).

MG talked to Lori the next morning between 8 and 9am while Alex's phone was pinging at Chad's from 9:55 till 10:12.

IMO it's possible that JJ was killed overnight in Alex's appartment (107). This way MG and DW would not have heard anything.

That was so very interesting and sure that some folks I follow will evalute. How she thought at one point MG was recording, yet when MG talked about scriptures, LV went off and lost it as to questioning if she was recording for LE.

I've now listened to 4 times... do I hear someone scribbling in the background during the conversation! OMG during the fight as to the religious stuff around 18:00 through 22:00, someone seems in the background furiously scribbling and underling messages through this call. MOO

I always suspected he was suffocated after giving him extra medication...but not to this degree!!! Can’t imagine how the Ws are able to hear this!!

I thought the detective was having a difficult time describing what he had witnessed!

I had to break last night after reading to this point as it was so terrible. But I admit this was my thought too when I read this. Monsters.

Still have 34 pages to catch up with. :-(
