If other children who stand by an obviously guilty parent is any indication, they will excuse his lies and his behavior. I just hope that one of them stand by Tammy and has his or her eyes open. Of course, that may mean being ostracized by the others who want to believe the father is innocent.
I’m hoping their thoughts are only on Tammy. You are right that sometimes the children of murderers and abusers stand by them anyway. Hard to understand.

Chads attorney is going to do everything he can to rip MG apart on that stand today I just hope she can be as strong today as she was when she recorded that phone call. I didn't like her at all before she took the stand yesterday and I still am not her biggest fan by any means but I do think she redeemed herself just a little bit by standing up to Chad and Lori like she did. I just hope she can stay strong and focused today in that court room she needs to stick to the facts and not let Chads attorney get her rattled which I am sure he's going to try to do.

I noticed both in the phone call and during her TV interviews when MG starts getting into her current beliefs and talks about bible scriptures she becomes extremely passionate and strong in her self belief, The way she came at lori on the phone with her bible verse rap battle was impressive, I think she may have been deceived to some extent by chad and lori at one time but eventually woke up, I think her current faith will serve her well in her ability to remain strong when she is cross examined today.

I am not sure the attorney will go that hard in these proceedings.

Seems to me the state has more than enough evidence to proceed to trial - maybe he will keep powder dry for the main event?

We've all seen how prosecuters build up their case early in the case to set up the grand finale. Although there were several details and surprises on day 1, it will be interesting to see if two details that were mentioned, but not deeply expanded upon on day 1, were put out there in order to build up evidence for day 2 testimony.

One was the color of the pajamas and socks on JJ. MG could have been asked about that on day 1 but she wasn't so I'm guessing that it will be tied into DW's upcoming testimony on day 2.

The other was when RW repeated CD's cell phone number, making sure it was clear what the number was. It will be interesting to see if FBI will disclose pings from CD's phone since it sounds like CD was using his phone at times.

I'm sure the FBI will disclose much forensic evidence on day 2 but I wonder if anything will be disclosed regarding TD's autopsy. If they have something, does it make strategic sense to use it for the charges that pertain to CD's cases that are being heard today or would it make more sense to save this for future trials?

I wonder what she was carrying in that HUGE backpack? And, no mask?
A change of clothing. Pretty sure she was wearing dark trousers (pants) on the stand. Do masks need to be worn outside in the US?

For some unknown reason, Loris family enabled her to do wrong. Even supported her. It’s very strange.
She managed to convince them (with rare exceptions) that she was the victim. Her mother and sister believe that Charles was the aggressor and we heard yesterday that she accused her other brother of same, because he saw through her.

I'm not sure that I am up to date with the autopsy results for both children. I do know that JJ was positively identified (by BB). Tylee was identified via dental records, but the confirmation would come from DNA results, that were still pending last time I looked. CoD for both children has also not been released last time I checked. Remember that this case is in regards to concealment (and associated conspiracy) of bodies. For this case, it is not relevant how they died or who killed them.

Subject:- MG

I'm bothered by a few details.

I will go back and listen again to her testimony, because I may have it wrong, but I think there are discrepancies. This is what I think I heard her say -

1. That she initiated contact with detective Pillar after ignoring the calls/texts from RPD.
2. That she told him she did have JJ but LV had picked him up.
3. That she decided to go to the police in December after the phone call she recorded on December 8th.

Looking through the affidavit for LVD's initial arrest I see it records that -

1. Detective Pillar initiated the contact with her.
2. She told him JJ wasn't staying at her Arizona house and had not been there for several months. No mention of having had him that day in Utah.
3. She contacted RPD on December 6th and said that she had declined LV and CD's requests to lie to police that she had JJ.

I suppose it could be that she had telephone contact with RPD on December 6th and then decided to make the recording and actually took the disk to police after December 8th. Was she playing Det. Pillar off against RPD?

I wonder why Kw and LW weren't wearing their personalized JJ masks when they were in the courtroom. They had them on when they entered the courthouse. I wonder if someone objected (JP/CD?) to them wearing those. I can't imagine it was their choice not to wear them. JMO.

Agree. MOO she felt lucky and star struck to be their friend, and so when its on that level she is vulnerable.
But when she thinks morally knowing that children were murdered and these stars are the monsters who at the very least, wanted it and covered it up, she is able to express herself.
She did it on the call before she knew JJ and Tylee were dead.
And on the social level, they wanted to use her to lie to cover up murder.

Everyone that saw through her lies and manipulation where evil in her opinion and I believe that is why CV ended up dead. He was alerting LE to her mental instability and she just couldn't have that so he was taken out in my opinion. I don't see who LE didn't see right away that he was murdered everything about that scene just screams murder to me.

Re: Lori's family's enabling...

Maybe she intimidated or scared them or there were repercussions for not 'being on her side' at an early age.

Alex, I'd like FEAR for 400, please.

I checked and on the stand she was wearing the same light colored skirt that she arrived in. Maybe she regularly carries a backpack instead of a handbag.

I admit, the rookie could’ve done better, but I think when this does go to trial, we will be pleasantly surprised at the amount of evidence LE has collected. Look at that recorded phone call. I think we were all surprised by that one!

Sometimes it’s so hard to be patient!

Jmo:)
This was day 1, I can’t imagine how much more there is since this is just the preliminary hearing for just one of the defendants. Imo CD and LV were not as careful as they thought and the evidence isn’t looking in their favor. Imo it’s pretty clear at this point. All jmo

Isn't duct tape rather "noisy", when unrolling it? I wonder where JJ was when he was taped up. I could hear my neighbors, in their garage, using it on some boxes. Not sure if that noise would have caught someone's ear. JMO
I had mentioned several threads back, I have a friend who owns one (not any of the units involved but within the same complex) and rents it out. You most certainly can hear the neighbors when you’re inside hers. All jmo

I have to wonder about Tammys five children. Obviously, that recorded call has to be a shock to them. Didn’t they all agree their mother was healthy? Just to know my dad was having an affair when my mother died would destroy me. But then to learn all these other things. And the way he smiles and laughs about things, it’s just so creepy. Could any of them be deluded enough to still stand up for him and show up in court?
None of Chad's family were in court yesterday. If they could believe some of his lies before, surely they'd draw a line at portraying Tammy as sickly when she was not. She also died in the middle of the night. How were her children there within 20 minutes? Mention of two coroners was an overkill as well.

She also said that she came downstairs in the morning. So my assumption is her and DW slept on the top floor of the condo. Then I assume the next level down is the kitchen area (she may have said that) and then one floor lower would be the basement. And my guess is that this was all handled after MG & DW went to bed but before they got up the next morning. Plus with the podcast ending after midnight, if my timing is accurate, most/maybe all her neighbors would be asleep for work since the next morning would be a Monday.

Jmo.
These townhouses don’t typically have a basement. They usually have a crawl space that some people store stuff in. All jmo

Maybe nextdoor appartment(s) was/were empty where/when the children's murders happened?

I just happened to be listening to the recording exactly when she mentions this and reading this post.

She said "he is a boyfriend".
That made it sound like she has several imo
