This was day 1, I can’t imagine how much more there is since this is just the preliminary hearing for just one of the defendants. Imo CD and LV were not as careful as they thought and the evidence isn’t looking in their favor. Imo it’s pretty clear at this point. All jmo

I keep going back to 60 burner phones and 30 email addresses. Did every new cult member get issued one? How many crimes were there to cover up? It makes them look more methodical than they were.

Can someone help me out as I cannot find in our wonderful timeline, nor can I find in the affidavit but I know I've seen the exact movements of (was I dreaming?) AC's cell phone the night that JJ went missing.

Since not in our timeline, does someone have a link as where else would I have seen this? I wanted to review the timing of mid-podcast timing/end of podcast timing with AC's phone.

I’m really surprised so much information was released in CD’s prelim today. WOW, the taped call. That seems to me to be the blazing gun one is used to hearing in the actual trial...IMO.

Also, is Kay to testify? She heard the call between MG, LVD, and CD. She blamed by Lori at every turn today. Does hearing today’s recorded call present any problems with that if she is scheduled for the prosecution case?

Not everywhere in Idaho has a mask mandate. Madison County is one that is not requiring people to wear masks outside

That’s why I’m so curious about how MG didn’t hear anything, which assuming she didn’t, then it appears they took JJ out of the place in the middle of the night after she saw AC carry him in. They were doing the podcast until after midnight, she says she had a conversation with LD between 8&9 am the next day where LD described JJ climbing on the fridge and knocking a pic of Jesus off the wall.
Seems she slept through a lot that night. JMO

These townhouses don’t typically have a basement. They usually have a crawl space that some people store stuff in. All jmo

The hearings beg the question: Was Lori planning to off Chad? A swimming accident in Hawaii? A strange event on July 22? What life insurance does/did Chad carry?

The cheap-o rings she purchased Sure didn't portend a relationship that she was planning to stick with.

I will go back and listen again to her testimony, because I may have it wrong, but I think there are discrepancies. This is what I think I heard her say -

1. That she initiated contact with detective Pillar after ignoring the calls/texts from RPD.
2. That she told him she did have JJ but LV had picked him up.
3. That she decided to go to the police in December after the phone call she recorded on December 8th.

Looking through the affidavit for LVD's initial arrest I see it records that -

1. Detective Pillar initiated the contact with her.
2. She told him JJ wasn't staying at her Arizona house and had not been there for several months. No mention of having had him that day in Utah.
3. She contacted RPD on December 6th and said that she had declined LV and CD's requests to lie to police that she had JJ.

I suppose it could be that she had telephone contact with RPD on December 6th and then decided to make the recording and actually took the disk to police after December 8th. Was she playing Det. Pillar off against RPD?

Will MG face any kind of legal troubles from lying, hindering, or misleading law enforcement in the locating of JJ and Tylee?

Today should be interesting starting with the cross of MG. We may get a feel from Prior of how far CD is trying to distance himself from LV... and whatever else he may have up his sleeve.

I would imagine that DW will be called next, but MG will maybe take awhile. I expect there will be some re-direct rehabilitation by RW after Prior.

I was wondering about that too but I think that they opted not to charge her with anything in exchange for her testimony I could be wrong but I've seen it happen in other cases and it wouldn't be that unusual here because Lori and Chad are who they really want behind bars.

My understanding is that sometimes the information in the affadavit is a little bit off. It's the testimony in court that is entered as evidence.

Morning all oh man I think daybells lawyer is going to go after mg hard. My daughter watched with me yesterday and was pointing out daybells facial expression when mg turn came up daybell looked scared then angry kept closing his eyes like he was wishing mg away . I wonder what lori’s reaction was to chads lawyer asking that she be called vallow not daybell? I hope murder charges are layed soon jmoo
