Prior is desperate. He keeps going to MG's relationship with Warwick and whether or not they slept in the same room, lived together, etc.

MG & DW slept in separate rooms at LV’s

Judge doesn't look too happy with Prior.

Boy Prior is ruthless to go after this based on an autistic child. I just lost all impartiality towards him. He is a horse's butt.

Melanie: like I said yesterday . . .

Melanie. Hang on! She's self soothing rubbing her leg or hands together. Center girl!

He's trying to discredit MG at the same time he's trying to establish how Alex was so unusually close to Lori. He and Chad plan to blame all of it on Lori and Alex.

Under the bus they go...

In Tricia's podcast yesterday, it was very interesting to listen to Redvine talk about the other character discussed on the call.

This is going very poorly IMO.

I wish Prior would quit saying, "Quite honestly, I think I should be allowed to..."

It's quite rude and annoying how Prior keeps interupting MG's answers. Judge is annoyed too and has brought that up several times but he keeps on doing it. Prior has cool his jets.

The Defense Attorney sure was playing Bad Cop/Good Cop. There at the end he became overly apologetic. Overboard.

5 minute recess now

Pretrial and we are going big on religion. Don't think for a second that this wont be pull apart over and over . 2 children are murdered because of their twisted beliefs. Mr Prior is going to come off offensive to a jury that is going to be chosen in the Upper Snake River Valley if he doesnt handle this correctly. MOO

Every religion has a "bad guy" though. Jmo

Gibb: was good on direct no matter what I think of her and my opinion of her is poor. Definitely not rock star worthy though. She said everything for the record that we already knew. Woods questioning was spot on, likely discussed at length between them. Prior showed she’s a liar but Lori and Chad can be shown as the same quite easily. Prior flustered her but she’s held up reasonably well so far. Her and Tylees relationship, or lack thereof or dislike for each other is new information. More insinuation that Lolo and Alex has some incestuous relationship. Prior is doing what attorneys do, attempt to discredit and marginalize testimony to deflect from their client. Not necessarily “clearing” their client. He’s effective though. He has a much better courtroom presence than Wood. He uses the term “honestly” far too much. Don’t believe that will fly with a jury. Lots of Woods objections overruled. I’m not buying the Woods “first day in school” notion either. He’s been a prosector for a while and appointed special prosecutor so he’s qualified but I’ll say it again, he needs help from the state attorneys office. Wood needs to rehabilitate her a little on redirect.

Wow. Right out of the box...Mr Prior is an ego-maniac!
A jury will see right through this IMO.
Never under estimate the strength of an empath, Mr Prior.
Good wins. Not evil.

MOO

Spot on!!!

Unfortunately, MG's anxiety/nervousness was palpable. Thankfully that ended when he misquoted her son. And with that, his original question was about police meeting with her son. And she stated they (her son and GPD) had a brief meeting. She never even said her son has met JJ.

I had hoped today would go better, but I do think RW will come back with a vengeance on redirect.

Nope. Prior has completely lost my respect. The minute he went gunning for her autistic child, it was a deal breaker. Mounting the best possible defense is one thing, but character assassination of individuals not involved who are not there to rebut his statements concerning them is reprehensible. Cheap shots, fishing, grabbing at straws....interruptions, divisiveness..nope. MG held her own thankfully, and I don't believe his antics to discredit her were successful.

I've been taught in psychological training that people who say "honestly" as a preface are lying or not feeling confident in what they are about to say. Further, people that say it often (as Prior does) are dishonest in general. In real life, if I encounter someone who says it (especially in sales!), I distrust everything that comes out of their mouth.
He should be coached out of this habit.
