I think when we are stuck with Means' bellowing and tangential speaking points next week, we might actually start to miss Prior a bit.

Prosecution is not allowed to conceal evidence from the defence team
Im not suggesting they hide anything. Prosecution is required to present enough evidence to establish probable cause. They went above and beyond that, imo

Good point. Maybe it was sent from del taco.
But in any case CD said he was home that morning having an interesting morning outside making a fire and shooting a racoon. Trying to cover tracks he left more.
He was there and thats probable cause.

He allowed himself to think of the children and their condition before his closing, now he can barely speak.
I agree. May be my projection, but this seems to weigh heavily on him and affect his current ability (not capacity, IMHO) to speak:( May he receive the support he needs.

Really. Didn't Alex's phone ping in the backyard in the middle of the night when JJ was buried. Would a reasonable person believe that Alex was out there digging in the dark while Chad was sound asleep?

In addition, Chad's text to Tammy about his interesting morning shows that he was there all morning "burning limbs and debris, shooting and burying a large raccoon." This time overlaps with Alex's phone. I believe that Alex left at 11:52 a.m., and Chad sent his text to Tammy at 11:53 p.m.
Alex's phone pinged in Lori's apartment in the middle of the night. It didn't ping on Chad's property until nineish the next morning.

Is there a link to all of today's testimony?

It doesn't seem that Judge Eddins saves the live videos to his YouTube. Unless I am missing something.

It's a decently sized property (drove by on my way home from Yellowstone last week to see the memorials). Totally possible that Chad was out there shooting and burying the raccoon, and that he didn't see Alex burning and burying Tylee on the other side of the pet cemetery on the SAME morning, since it was so big at 20 x 20 feet. Totally possible. Seriously, though, I feel like Prior trying to create doubt about that dang raccoon, and I remember Chad's son saying that his dad DID bury one, but last summer, before all this went down. If they can uncover the actual, earlier raccoon, I can see Prior trying to claim it was the one from Sept 9. But how on earth do you get a jury to believe that even IF Alex and Lori did this all on their own, that Chad had zero knowledge about it after 2 separate burials? Even if he was scared for his life, why didn't he come clean after Alex was out of the picture, and Lori was behind bars? Total crap, all of it. Prior has zero chance, IMO.
The recent raccoon story (text by CD to TD) may have been cover for a gunshot. The story you are speaking of was very convoluted. The reporting didn't make much sense. But the FBI, according to Ben Dean, got tips from the community, and I'm betting CD's neighbors participated. For instance, why would the neighbors ask CD's son about a gunshot in the first place, before the son mentioned the shooting of a raccoon last summer? I could be way off--but it's pretty clear that Benjamin Dean has a lot more information than what he addressed in court today.

I suggest we also give a collective thought to the those outside the courtroom who must have been horrified at the details of the burials: Colby Ryan, Tylee's friends, the staff and teachers at JJ's school, and the trainer of JJ's dog, among others. This has been a rough two days for a lot of people.

“I felt I should burn all of the limb debris by the fire pit before it got too soaked by the coming storms. While I did so, I spotted a big raccoon along the fence. I hurried and got my gun, and he was still walking along. I got close enough that one shot did the trick. He is now in our pet cemetery. Fun times!”

limb debris and big racoon, tylee was big, i feel like chad may phrase things in a way that he can justify in his weird head that its technically the truth and thus makes it ok for him to lie according to his weird belief system to him he's not lying.

Here is what has been troubling me about this... We know he did shoot something because neighbors heard it, so what was it?

And he places himself outside burning limbs and shooting a raccoon at the same time Alex's phone pinged there.
Also the wooden paneling covering JJ's body might have come from Chad's old furniture. I'd like to know the owner of the green bucket that was found partially melted at the bottom of Tylee's grave.

I do think so. I think prior is the strongest lawyer in the room today and he made the most of an opprotunity that he should of never been given by the prosecution. They didnt need 12 witnesses to establish probable cause. Alot of the testimony we heard todat should of been held back for trial. Imo...

Seriously.
Oh yeah like Geragos was gonna get Scott Peterson off.
Nuff said.

MOO of course

Thoughts on the fire pit? The FBI lead agent was asked about ash. He responded in and around the pit. He was not asked about anything else. Do you think this was done so the def couldn't go into details about anything else found? Do you think nothing else was found? If nothing else was found do you think it was because there were many fires over the months to make sure any evidence was burned. Do you think the burning was elsewhere?

I thought I heard the FBI clearly state there are 4 areas burial site 1 & 2 (B1, B2), Fire Pit (FP) and Pet Cemetery (PC).
When Prior asked about the ash it was in reference to the "Pet Cemetery", however this where I think he was attempting to confuse the court. Prior was trying to establish the PC was 10x20. The 10x10 PC identified by the FBI is adjacent to B2. Whether the location of Tylees body was in Priors definition of the Pet Cemetery should be irrelevant. When the FBA Agent answered this question about ash - he said it wasn't found in the PC (I assume as he defines it, the 10x10 area). So Prior didn't ask if there was ash found in burial site 2. Not sure what he was trying to do here.....just confuse?

Nobody (that we know of) heard shots that morning. There was another raccoon story from several months earlier that involved the neighbors reportedly hearing shots.

BBM. No, it didn't. Alex's phone pinged at Lori's appartment in the early hours of September 9. It pinged on Chad's property in the morning.
Yes, but we do not know who had possession of Alex's phone at that time? It was mentioned by RW during the hearing that it was "Alex's device" that pinged at CD's house and in his backyard. It also pinged in LV's apartment. Was it Alex or Lori with Alex's phone at Chad's? This crazy case has taken so many twists and turns that it wouldn't surprise me if Alex let Lori borrow his phone just like they switched units with each other. MOO!

I think the defense would have a hard time building a case around this, simply because there's no motive there. What would Alex gain by killing JJ or Tylee or Tammy?
I have always thought Alex was getting paid by Lori and Chad to kill the kids as well as Tammy, money is a great motivator!!!

Agree with your point that having the deaths separate in time is a biggie. That perhaps is why Prior brought up Tylee not getting along with MG, to have an excuse why Tylee wasn't seen by MG?

That's the only thing I can think of as to why Prior brought up they didn't get along. It must have been for some reason... other thoughts?
Dont know. General disparagement?

His phone number was even mentioned in the expert testimony today. My guess is that his ping data was not necessary for probable cause.
Yes, I remember hearing CD's cellphone number stated today. I agree that his ping data was not necessary for probable cause, but they would have obtained all of his ping data, too. JMO
