Q. What kinds of auxiliary aids and services are required by the ADA to ensure effective communication with individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing or who are blind/have low vision?
A. Appropriate auxiliary aids and services for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing may include services and devices such as qualified interpreters on-site or through video remote interpreting (VRI) services; note takers; real-time computer-aided transcription services; written materials; exchange of written notes; telephone handset amplifiers; assistive listening devices; assistive listening systems; telephones compatible with hearing aids; closed caption decoders; open and closed captioning, including real-time captioning; voice, text, and video-based telecommunications products and systems, including text telephones (TTYs), videophones, and captioned telephones, or equally effective telecommunications devices; videotext displays; accessible electronic and information technology; or other effective methods of making aurally delivered information available to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

My opinion? Prior needs to watch himself. He could open himself up for an ethics complaint. Jmo
But would it not be Wood/the court, who were in breach for not providing the appropriate aids?

It's not clear if the viewing of the property took place in the late morning or in the afternoon. IMO there's a better chance that Tammy and another relative were home than on a weekday. I can't think of a good excuse if she caught Lori in the middle of her pet cemetery. On a Sunday Lori could have been spotted by neighbors, too. Driving by seems doable.
We still don't know exactly where 'the property' was. All we know is its 'near' the Daybell home. It may not even be in sight of the Daybell home.

Why would any of the actors involved call the police to volunteer info on JJ? I can see a neighbor reporting that Alex and Lori left, but what about the part about the Arizona homicide investigation? Neighbors wouldn't know anything about it. The timing of the call was odd if it wasn't about the events of that morning or previous night.
Ahh OK I knew I was missing something in your question. Sorry, too early not enough coffee. I have no idea, unless the neighbor had somehow become suspicious of everything and did his/her own snooping--reports of CV's death were in AZ media in July, although not considered a murder investigation. Moo.
Edit to clarify: Thereby perhaps adding in their call something along the lines of "these people are the same ones who were involved in a shooting death of a man in Arizona and ran from it too".

The neighbor across the way, to tip off the police about the sudden departure? I'm sure they knew at that point something was up, given all the strangeness and having not seen JJ for 2 months and the police presence the day before. Moo.
I'm wondering what LE means by 'abruptly'. According to the evidence (I think Stubbs) all clothing was missing from the home. If you were fleeing, would you take all your clothes? I wouldn't leave mine behind (but then again, I wouldn't be able to fit them all in my car!). Seeing as Lori travelled light, why not leave clothing behind?

Do you guys think there is any chance they did the burning inside the barn?
To my knowledge, LE has not said where the murders took place. We know there would be a ton of forensic evidence. Wherever that was, it could be where some of the burning took place?? Just IMO

Oh I wish they had actual video footage. Who shoots a guy four times when it’s one man against another and Alex saw Charles down on the first shot. Alex didn’t want Charles to live through the murder and say what really happened.
I'm not convinved it was Alex that did the shooting.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed already. Part of the timeline:

The next morning — Nov. 27, 2019 — the Rexburg Police Department is asked to serve a search warrant at the request of Arizona authorities. A Madison County Sheriff’s dispatch log indicates a phone pinged at the 565 Pioneer Road townhomes at that moment. The log also indicated the call related to a missing 7-year-old, now known to be JJ, and “homicide” investigations in Arizona. When police arrived, they discovered the Daybells had “abruptly” left.

Do we know who called Madison County SO dispatch from Lori's townhouse area on the morning of Nov 27 in relation to JJ AND an Arizona homicide case?
I wonder if it was Melani?

I think the police botched the investigation and contaminated the scene and the DA will never get a conviction in AZ. However, filing charges would put pressure on her.
If they have electronic communications, they could file conspiracy charges.

I think all of them. The court didn't make certain of the situation. But Prior mistreated him on a professional level.

I mean for myself, I could have told them plexiglass and an earpiece won't cut it. But my aids are strong enough if the attorney speaks directly into the microphone i could probably function. But I would make certain other options were available "just in case".

Its muddled I think because plexiglass is a new impediment in a lot of places. Jmo

I thought the call referred to "the call they went out on" in reference to the search warrant. Jmo

Do we know which neighbors would likely have seen them leave? They left JJ's toys on the front porch and the garage is in the back so maybe it was not the neghbors accross the front yard where JJ used to play?

Back in the old days, before cell phones, it was not uncommon around here to have lost strangers stop and ask directions, have a flat tire, or even use your house phone. People out in the country were used to it and neighborly.

I see a deviousness and fondness for causing trouble in Lori. They were out near the property in separate cars. I think the temptation would have been great to stop by Tylee's grave, and find a place for JJ while everyone else was somewhere else.

Some speculated that, while in the area, Lori might have wanted to visit Tylee's grave in Chad's backyard. For that it wouldn't matter if the property that they viewed was in line of sight.

could they not have a text reader? Apologies, I don't know the name of the apparatus, but text appears on a screen when someone talks.

I wonder what that loud high-pitched sound was coming from when DW tried to use the headphones? That couldn't have felt good. I have heard hearing aids give off a sound like that. It's painful.

I think if it wasn't for the Plexiglas screen and Prior obviously jerking him around, DW would have been able to hear just fine. Prior's behavior here was disgusting.

Closed captioning maybe?

So there were two calls to police despatch? The one from Gilbert police (before Sep 27) and the call from the Rexburg townhouse area on the morning of Sept 27?

What would she have told police? She left for Arizona later and didn't want to call the police back when informed there was a break in into her Rexburg home which turned out to be a police search.

Could have been the neighbor who reported seeing Lori and Alex packing his truck.
