The thing that flabbergasted me about that interaction is that Lori is so out of touch with normal human emotion and conduct, she didn't even try to pretend to be upset about a violent death in her house. Her husband's death, no less. No grief, no hysteria, no aftermath of the fear she would conceivably have felt if Alex' alibi was true and Charles had been out of control that morning. Just a giggly flirty laughing Barbie doll. And the Chandler cops thought that wasn't worth a side-eye?
From the 10/3/20 CBSNews article: "Chilling details revealed as police investigate deaths of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan".
LE's intereaction with LV immediately after she returned from dropping JJ at school and returned to the house where AC had just shot and killed CV:
(A smiling Lori Vallow on police bodycam video after learning her husband was dead)
Police Officer: "How long have you lived here?"
LV: "Like, 3 weeks"
Police Office: "Oh geez, yeah, OK"
LV: "That's why the neighbors don't know us very well"
Police Officer: "Gotcha"
LV: "Like, "hi neighbors, sorry" [Laughs]
Police Officer: "Are you working at all?"
LV: "No"
The nonchalance. The hair flip. The smile. The flirt. The hubris and the narcissism. Witnessing a true sociopath, imo.
She had utter disdain for CV, the neighbors, the cops... for everybody - even for her brother AC as he sat there on the curb like an idiot pretending to rub a tiny bump on his head. To Lori, it was her world and everybody else was just living in it.
And of course CPD... I'm guessing their side of the conversation continued on something like this: Uh... yes ma'am.. sure.. ok.. uhh, geez.. Are you're thirsty? I like those sunglasses.. You bet. Can I get you anything? Sure? Do you want some water? Gotcha
