Bet he wishes he was in the Grand Jury meeting instead.
I laughed entirely too hard at that. 1 like was not enough!

How would you be able to tell if there is a grand jury??? Asking for a friend who would really like to know how to figure it out.... I know they are supposed to be super duper secret, but their has to be a paper trail somewhere, right?
Varies from place to place. Paper trail, sure there must be one, but you're not likely to find it.
Pre-COVID, we knew in when the GJ was seated because my office is in the Courthouse. A conference room (sometimes ours!) was blocked on the shared calendar. LE from a variety of agencies would be in the elevators -- lots of LE, sometimes a dozen or more!
But, we never, ever knew what they were doing.

We won't here anything yet. The Grand Jury are made up of laypersons. Prosecutor puts forward what information he has. It's then up to the Grand Jury to decide if infact an indictment can be issue. No links sorry but I believe grand Juries operate in Ohio the same way.
Anything seen or heard at a Grand Jury hearing, is Private and Secret nobody attending can talk about what went on.
I think we may have to wait a few days to hear their verdict, not 100% sure on that but.
Did you know that the UK got rid of Grand Juries in 1933? Again no link so we can make this one JMO
He must be writing a book on his iPad.Local update: MM is at the women’s detention center today.
*Not sure about the courthouse in St Anthony because I’m not sure if we’re needing to go to St Anthony today
Double-spaced, cuz, you know, he can only read documents that way. JMO.He must be writing a book on his iPad.
That must have been so intriguing! Did you ever piece together what was going on, based on related trials or press coverage?Varies from place to place. Paper trail, sure there must be one, but you're not likely to find it.

Information posted in the last thread was that The United States and Liberia are the only places that currently have grand juries. Something that confused me was that they said it would be lasting for a short period of time. I thought the grand juries could issue subpoenas and are also investigative so how could they end so soon when jurors might want to subpoena someone or to get some information they would have to wait for?

Oh well, of course. But after the fact, during and after a related trial, there can be speculation in print. That’s what I was referring to.You won't find press coverage, they aren't in attendance and would not be permitted to report a dot. Grand Jury's are held in Secret. The outside world is not told what's going on because it is a secret.
However, it is hypothetically possible that a person's office might have a common wall with one of the Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys, and it is hypothetically possible that if one of the Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys was rather loud, and/or had rather loud speakers visit their office, one might hear intriguing information through that drywall. Hypothetically.

I figure that he has moved his "office" to the prison, or it is a way for him to get out of his house. It's a win-win situation. He is out of the house and working from the prison, and it allows Lori time to get out of her prison cell and have the freedom to surf the 'net, watch movie downloads, play solitaire or do whatever she wants to do to wile away the hours. He must be writing a book on his iPad.
