I feel this is "Prior's Show" getting ALL the kids on the same page (even if some reluctance currently exists), and keeping the cases separate. I keep thinking that Lori's current "insanity" has something to do with the fact that Chad might be wanting a divorce.

I can see stepping on eggshells either way, thus nothing is happening yet...... I am sure all attorneys know the laws about spousal privilege, since it is the core of so many legal cases, but, what I don't fully understand is---how much worse off is Lori really, if a divorce is granted.
Well, there's the no small matter of her vanity and pride. I think she's always been the one to do the dumping and divorcing before? So maybe "Noone divorces me!"

The whole divorce theory makes prefect since. And could very well be why Lori has lost it and is now playing the incompetent card. Maybe Chad is going to say he didn't kill the children but only help in hiding the physical evidence, and will blame the actual murders on Alex and Lori. Tampering with physical evidence carries a lesser sentence. I don't think they are charging Chad in CV murder. But then there is still Tammy's death. I think the main goal of CD legal team is to keep him from getting the death penalty.

Wait a minute Emma...your dad told the landlord in Hawaii (via text) "I woke up that morning and she had been dead for a couple hours but she had a peaceful look on her face at her burial. I felt her tell me she was happy and helping our family on the other side of the veil. She helped me reconnect with Lori so quickly and it helped my children move forward."

So are you saying your dad is lying and it wasn't your mother that helped your dad and Lori reconnect in order to help you and your siblings move forward? If, as you say, "None of this would've happened if Lori Vallow had never come into my family's life," are you doubting your mother knew what was best? Can't have it both ways.

The word "reconnect" is pretty interesting because supposedly Chad only met Lori while in Hawaii. That's the story we heard the adult kids were told, so how is it a reconnection if they only met there for the first time?

I’m sorry. I have followed this case so long with its many twists and turns and it was so many threads back. Chads brother was interviewed and said Chads beliefs had cause a rift in the family. The brother had tried to talk to his parents and others but they all believed in Chad. The brother said he and his wife were ignored after talking with the family. I want to say this interview was before the kids were found but I don’t know. It was discussed here quite a bit.
his brother and wife are LDS snd they knew Chad was strange.

I remember that discussion. However, I think much of that was prior to many of the discoveries. I know Matt Daybell issued a statement early on before JJ & Tylee where found and stated, “represents the views of him, his wife and children, not his extended family or parents”

After they were found by Matt Daybell. He stated he didn’t know where TD children stand at this time

Chad Daybell’s parents, Jack and Shelia Daybell, along with his brother, Paul Daybell, and the Daybell family did issue a statement after the kids were found

I’m not saying his parents aren’t supporting him and/or believe him. I’m just curious if there is anything to confirm they are still in his corner after finding JJ & Tylee (and now TD murder charges) as I don't recall anything recent

I’d have a hard time believing that his 5 kids believe him but not his own parents. But, Jack & Sheila are older and probably wiser but who knows.

I wonder this as well....
Throughout this loooong case, we have discussed the Chad and Tammy relationship in umteen posts... He was the ego, the dreamer, the "man", Tammy had to be the backbone, the checkbook balance, the stability in the FAMILY. Tammy didn't go to his "readings" and meetings (maybe in the beginning, i dunno).

Did the kids go to these??? Were they already brainwashed, or is this the Prior Show...

This is why I am pained to see the children defend Chad and not Tammy.....
They are cult members.
Seeing Dad pat LVDs rear end possesively, while putting the kids stuff in a storage locker should have been enough to cause critical thinking to commence, but it didn't.

I'm a bit confused on the witness list. There is this one from RW and a "corrected" one from LB. Does anyone know which are correct (are both?)

His children weren't even part of the 144k.

I have a feeling they're going to find out a lot of information that they were previously unaware of

Oh no I think you are more up to date than I am. Thank you. :D
So maybe his parents aren’t supportive of what he did. I guess none would be right? I don’t understand his kids doing 48 Hours and I won’t pretend to. Just crazy to me.

The paroxysms of choking . . . LOL.

Which is ludicrous.

I've had a lot of chest colds that, ahem, required expectorant (trying not to gross everyone out).

Even on nights when I couldn't sleep, I've never coughed so hard I twisted sideways and fell out of bed. I've woke up aching from trying to suppress the coughs; coughing myself out of bed... no.

Here's his brother's statement I believe you're talking about, but it doesn't say anything about their parents:

Chad Daybell's brother issues statement 'pleading' for him to cooperate with investigation - East Idaho News

Due to the circumstances surrounding the unknown whereabouts of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan, and the suspicious death investigation of Tammy Daybell, I feel I must make an official statement at this time. My name is Matt Daybell. My wife is Heather Daybell. We have been residents of the Rexburg area for over 15 years. Chad Daybell is my oldest brother. I have not seen nor directly spoken to Chad since Tammy’s memorial here in Rexburg on October 23, 2019. Since that time, I have texted Chad twice. Once, when I heard from a neighbor of his quick marriage to Lori Vallow, expressing to him my shock and dismay at this news. Second, just recently, pleading with Chad to cooperate with authorities and reveal the whereabouts of his new stepchildren.

I have not been close to Chad since childhood. My immediate family has had little association with Chad the last many years due to our concerns with his religious claims and particular books he had chosen to publish, including his own. We are deeply saddened at the recent events that have played out the last several months. It is our hope and prayer that JJ and Tylee are safe. We want for the truth to be found – whatever that truth turns out to be. Neither I, nor my wife and children have any more information than what has been reported by the news media. I plead again for Chad to come forward and cooperate with the investigation so that this very difficult situation might be resolved. My wife and I ask for privacy for us and for our children and will not be giving any further comments at this time.

Possibly Lori's dream job, here:

The hospital has a wide variety of activities available for the patients, including a morning routine called "Rise-N-Shine," which Koontz described as an important part of the day for many people.

"They'll interact with staff, do their hair, do their makeup, get their nails done and feel like real people, not just patients," he said. "They get up and think about looking good and being clean and proud of who they are."

Times of change at State Hospital North

Can you hear my eyes rolling??? Hypothetically.

jmho ymmv lrr

I wonder if they have a portal room there.

With those photos of the lovely grounds, kinda' nice psych guys, and now I see they'll do my hair and nails... hmmm... I believe I'm beginning to feel a little incompetent and restless... wonder if they'll accept an ol' out-of-state nutter like me :D

ETA: I see @alexwood may also be interested, too! lol

Beds are filling up fast... !

She should have hooked up with Barry Morphew!

I think Lori might have lost it when she learned that Chad was going to blame her for the children's deaths and absolve himself of any guilt. The second trigger might have been the realization that he would stop paying for her defense while he could still afford a private attorney for himself.

Seriously, though, I think Chad is behind everything the children said in the interview. I think the kids are visiting him and he's creating yet another "novel" through them. A poorly written story that only mental lightweights would buy into.
RSBM
Every dingus character involved in this story is a mental lightweight, from beginning to end! CD, AC, LVD, JR, JM, MG, MBP, ES, these “kids”, it just keeps going and going and going with these people. It’s unfathomable! MOO YMMV

RSBM. Seeing as they’re both screwed, I don’t think it really matters in the end if they are married or divorced. JMO

SBM. I wonder how much did Chad's brother actually know about Chad's religious claims. It appears that, unlike Chad's own family, he didnt't consider Chad to be a visionary. Was he aware that Chad was assigning light/dark status to people? That he was going to individuals' homes to explain their past probations? It seems that the brother found Chad problematic even before the latter started a cult.
