It had been posted earlier, but I think it is very important, and may have been missed by some with all the other reports from the past 24 hours, so I'm glad you posted it again.Hope this is new, if not, my apologies.
Missing Idaho children: Film adaptation of stepfather’s book canceled as search for children continues
"For Valentina Yingling and Devin K. Hansen, it's shocking to see the news about Chad."
Valentina is the face on the cover of Chad's book, "Chasing Paradise." It took her by surprise when earlier this year her family saw Valentina's picture in the bookstore.
"September was the last time that we got a response from him at all," Valentina said.
She said he didn't reply to messages after that.
Devin pulled out his phone to look up the last text.
"He said, 'Thanks so much.' This was on Monday, September 23 of 2019," Devin said.

No idea specifically. No clue. I'm having thoughts about situations like Ruby Ridge, Waco, those people who say they're sovereign citizens, only follow constitutional law (too lazy to google), other fringe groups where situations have gone terribly wrong. On both sides.MOO, obviously, but I agree with all of your summary (other than taking your word on his books because I haven't read any of them). But I'm wondering what you think is under the tip of the iceberg that LE feels the need to be pussyfooting around.
Could you please link to the text? ( Or the MSM/source if possible ).i want to know what Chad’s text of thank you so much was in response to that day.
I have seen that account on tik tok and it has no posts or followers or anything. The inactive accounts could very well be because those aren’t social media that teens are using as frequently these days. I just had my (17yo) daughter check TikTok... she says there IS an account that comes up when one searches for the name Tylee Ryan, but it’s private.
One other thought - all these social media IDs are pretty much just based on her name... has anyone seen any that aren’t, that might lead to secondary accounts? It’d actually be sorta unusual for her not to have more at least somewhere... and that’s a lot more plausible than all her social media going dark.
I presume she wanted to move close to Chad. Why else? Like you said, it ain't exactly a happening place someone like Lori would normally be interested in.Not much else in Rexburg that would interest someone like Lori: She has lived in CA, (TX??), AZ, and HI. She could have moved anywhere, but why there?
First time poster, but I've been following this case from the beginning as I live in Boise. As an Idahoan my perspective is this: Rexberg is a very small, religious and conservative community; this community very well may have Chad Daybell sympathizers MOO. In addition to that Idaho is a state you can easily get lost in. Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness for example is 3,698 square miles of mostly uninhibited wild land. I wonder if LE has looked into this as a possibility?
Praying these kiddos get home safe.
This is what I was thinking exactly.Frank Church River of No Return is where James DiMaggio took Hannah Anderson after he murdered her mom, brother and dog. The FBI hunted him down. That is definitely a no man’s land of wilderness.
I haven't read Chad's books but I have read the comments on good reads from people who have read the books. As far as I gather, the books are written in a very simplistic language but do have a bunch of ideas that Mormons (at least some) find interesting/fascinating, etc. Looks like Lori started reading Chad's books some years ago and that's when she became obsessed with the end of the world idea. And I presume with the author of the books. Some random thoughts. Forgive me for not pulling quotes; I'm quite terrible at that. Also, these are just my thoughts about things we know.
Remember way back in the beginning of this crazy case, Lori was allegedly obsessed with Chad's books. (I read a lot, and I have Kindle. His are on the literary level of The Babysitter's Club.) She was a fangurrrl.
Ole Chad seems like he requires a lot of ego stroking. Dude thinks he's a prophet, can't get more egotistical than that.
...
So there's a problem with second to last. I think they mean 'Preparing a People', which is the group that puts on seminars or conferences which basically charges money to attend and then there are people selling stuff at the conference. it's for people interested in end times, and emergency preparedness mixed with spiritual talks. That's not 'Chad's cult', that I'm aware of . They keep calling it a 'cult', but I don't think it's anything organized, just his views on the future and people who listened to him, read his books and believed his visions and claims of future events. Calling it a cult also seems to confuse people into thinking they are polygamists, which there is no evidence or suggestion of that, or that he formed his own church, which from what others have said about him, it doesn't sound like it. Also, if he had a calling in his church congregation as executive secretary up till Tammy died, then the claim that he was excommunicated in Sept. in the Daily mail has got to be wrong. If he was excommunicated in Sept, then he would have been released from his calling and he wouldn't have had it at her death in October--that is a for sure. So, those are two contradictory bits of information.Doomsday cult leader whose new stepchildren are missing claimed he prophesied first wife's death | Daily Mail Online
- Chad Daybell reportedly told a friend that he had visions about the death of his first wife, Tammy Daybell, three weeks before she died in October
- Authorities initially said Tammy died of natural causes but exhumed her body earlier this month to determine the specific cause of death
- Days after Tammy died, Chad tied the knot with Lori Vallow, 46
- Tammy's death is now believed to be linked to the disappearance of Lori's children, seven-year-old Joshua 'JJ' Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan
- Chad and Lori went on the run after police began probing the children's whereabouts in November
- Police say Lori and Chad have refused to cooperate with investigators and claimed on Monday that the couple are aware of what happened to the children
- Investigators are also looking into the deaths of Lori's previous husband, Charles Vallow, and her brother, Alex Cox
- Lori's family have alleged that the mother joined Chad's cult, Preparing with People, around 18 months ago and became obsessed with the end of the world
- Chad was excommunicated from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after he declared that he was a prophet, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed
The cult, if it exists, sounds to me like a small group of like minded individuals. They could have met during these "Preparing a People" conferences, etc.So there's a problem with second to last. She absolutely moved to Idaho to be with Chad in MOO. The only reason you live in Rexburg is because you were born there. The only reason you move to Rexburg is if you're going to BYU. That's literally it.I presume she wanted to move close to Chad. Why else? Like you said, it ain't exactly a happening place someone like Lori would normally be interested in.
