I stumbled upon this thread published on LDS Freedom Forum from March 25th, 2018. Discussion is about Chad and a dream he had and how deceiving/twisted his thinking is.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and this thread gives a good perspective of what us members think in respect to revelation and our Prophet today, President Russell M. Nelson.

This forum does not represent the Church officially--but I find it to have some good insight.

Also, I would encourage those not familiar with our teachings of Prophets & revelation, to read the following from the Church's website:

Pongratz also wrote that she threw a pool party later that afternoon.

Thats absulutely insane. I hope more details come out about this party. Was it planned ahead of time or was it a spontaneous event is one question i have.
I would also like to know who the guests were and the general vibe of the party.
This is one of the weirdest stories i have ever heard. Who throws a party after a homocide, let alone throw it at the crime scene. Grief can do strange things to people but come on, lol.

Live interview with Kay and Larry Woodcock happening now. East Idaho News.com

Kay Woodcock's behavior and demeanor sits in such contrast to the behavior and demeanor of so many other people in this case. She just calmly relays information in such an unrehearsed, calm manner. I don't know her, but I know some of the people she's talking about, and I admire her so, so much.

Wasn’t LD ‘s niece supposed to have a hearing today in Utah for her trespassing charge? Does anyone know if she appeared

Watching this new video of Kay and Larry Woodcock is heartbreaking, especially as Larry is speaking about JJ. It's so clear that they just want these kids to be safe. I don't know if a reward increases the chances of coming forward, but I sure hope it will make more people sit up and pay attention.

Here are some notes I took during the Kay and Larry Woodcock press conference. Ellipses (…) mean more was said but I couldn’t type fast enough. If it’s in quotes, it’s as close to a direct as possible. If there are brackets ([]), that’s a paraphrase OR a clarification by me, not a direct quote. I assume there will be quotes in media this evening, but thought some would like to read now.

Kay, about finding out about Charles dying:

Lori texted Charles’ adult sons and told them Charles had died [not revealing cause/circumstance, and I'm not clear on whether this was the same day or the next day, but I think the next day] and that she was making funeral arrangements. Kay and Larry heard the news from Charles’ sons [was my impression]. Then Larry googled Charles’ name and read media reports, called Kay and said, “They killed him.”

Kay, about Alex:

“Charles was wary of Alex for a long time. Alex has a reputation of just…no conscience. He would do things for Lori...This is just the strangest relationship.”

Kay, about keeping up with JJ after Charles died:

“[After Charles’ death…] We could keep track of them, where they lived…[But after they moved] we had no resources here [Rexburg] for checking on that. And though we were in process of [pause] remedying that…” (MOO: I'm curious about what she means by remedying their lack of resources/lack of communication. Were they, possibly, initiating a grandparent visitation case? Calling CPS? Hiring a detective? Or just the welfare checks by LE? Who knows?)

Q: Was Chad in the picture [before Charles died]? Kay: “Yes. Charles suspected they were having an affair, and he told me, and showed me [what he had that made him suspect that], and we discussed it.” [Wouldn’t reveal what items/info made Charles suspicious.]

Q: Did you spend much time with Tylee?/What was Tylee like? Did you ever talk to her [when you called]? Kay (a little paraphrased): “She was ten years older than JJ. She was a typical teenager with her own friends, her phone, her activities. We did spend time with her when we were visiting. But Lori stopped coming to Lake Charles about three years ago, when Charles and JJ would visit.” [Implying that Tylee didn’t visit Lake Charles, and clearly they didn’t ever develop a close relationship with her, for whatever reason.] They did mention that she graduated early from high school, when she was 16.

Q: Has there been a time when she’s [Lori] kept him away before? Kay: “No. He’s always been accessible to us before this.”

Q: What was Tylee and JJ’s relationship like? Kay or Larry: “Uh…[inaudible…annoyed?] teenager and [younger brother].” Kay: “I actually have a video and I need to send that out, ‘cause it’s a cute video. And she’s playing with him. He’s about 3. We’ll post it and get it out there.”

Q: Do you have any idea where Tylee was in September? Kay: “No.”

Q: Does Tylee have any other grandparents? Kay: “She does [pause] have Lori’s parents”

Q: What about Joe Ryan’s parents? Kay: “I don’t know almost anything about Joe Ryan. Lori’s parents are alive, and I guess they’re in Arizona.”

Q: Do you have any contact with them [Lori’s parents]? Kay: “No.”

Q: Are they [Lori’s parents] aware of what is going on? Kay: “Yes.”

~Edited a spelling mistake.~

Really wish the press would probe more on these folks. A lot of us already know, but their silence is very troubling.

The way Kay pauses and emphasizes the "no" and "yes" when asked about Lori's parents is very telling.

The most relevant parts:

"The friend reached out to Ryan on Oct. 19 to say she missed her and had been thinking about her. Six days later, on Oct. 25, the friend received a reply from Ryan’s phone saying, “hi. miss you guys too ...luv ya.”

Now that Ryan has gone missing, the friend said she didn’t know for sure if it was Ryan who sent the text. The friend said she didn’t think the text sounded like Ryan.

“She spelled out her words for the most part,” the friend said. “Plus, she would have texted more if I reached out.”

According to the friend, Ryan waiting six days before responding wasn’t unusual since Ryan’s move to Idaho.

“When she lived here, she responded immediately,” the friend said, “And when she moved, it slowly decreased in response time. The friend lived near Ryan’s Chandler, Ariz., home. Ryan moved from Chandler to Rexburg with her mother, Lori Vallow, and brother JJ shortly after Aug. 31. The friend said Ryan didn’t want to move to Idaho. In fact, Ryan had originally planned to move in with the friend in order to remain in Arizona. However, Ryan ultimately decided to go with her family to Idaho for JJ’s sake."

"In a Facebook post Sunday, Vallow’s former property manager in Arizona, Joe Pongratz, said he asked Vallow to leave following the death of her husband, Charles Vallow, on July 11 at the property she rented. Pongratz was disturbed by several details surrounding Charles Vallow’s death. Charles was shot to death by Vallow’s brother, Alex Cox. Pongratz wrote that, on the same day Charles died, Vallow texted him, “we are ok, Ill explain later,” when he texted her wondering why police were at the house. Pongratz also wrote that she threw a pool party later that afternoon.

“That day the neighbors reported a pool party at the house, the same day Charles was murdered, with loud music and lots of people swimming. Neighbors also reported Alex was staying at the house for several days following the shooting even though he lived in the same area. I spoke with Lori several times days following the shooting and she never sounded shocked, sad or heartbroken, as you would think a bride would be watching her husband die,” Pongratz wrote in his post.

At Pongratz’s request, Vallow agreed to move out Aug. 31."
TY for posting .

MOO - The custody claim really doesn't hold water. The grandparents only asked for a welfare check which is not how anyone starts a custody batte. They didn't start creating a public stir until Lori lied about JJ's whereabouts and flew the nest. Completely understandable under the circumstances.

If they were angling to regain custody of JJ, it seems more likely they would have started with CPS to report a mentally unstable mother. At one point earlier in the year it was ordered that Lori be placed on an involuntary 72 hour mental health hold should LE come in contact with her (per the CV divorce documents) so they would have had ample ammunition.

many custody battles start with welfare checks and CPS reports. ask me how i know! i agree w the rest however.

Family members announce $20K reward for information on missing Idaho children

"SALT LAKE CITY — Family members of two Idaho children missing since September are now offering a $20,000 reward for information that will help authorities locate the children.

Larry and Kay Woodcock, grandparents of 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow, announced the reward during a press conference at the Rexburg Standard Journal newspaper Tuesday.

The reward will be given for information “leading directly to the recovery” of JJ and his 17-year-old sister, Tylee Ryan, who have been missing since September.

The full video of the press conference can be accessed here."

Sadly, we do not know who sent that text.
