That’s what I think, but it’s speculation.

I’ve been wondering why Lori’s parents haven’t said a word about this case. Maybe they don’t know anything? I would think LE would at least check with them, even if Lori said JJ was with a “family friend”. MOO

This article is a bit confusing, but I’ve been wondering about the period of 6 weeks Alex Cox left his garage door open. Is this maybe this fall? Until he came back and moved into his new wife’s house, where his body was found? So maybe Alex went to Arizona after moving to Rexburg and then left in haste (leaving his garage door up) and finally came back in December? To grab his stuff and move in with new wife? MOO

I agree and have suggested the same via my earlier proposed (speculated) Alex itinerary (and respective vehicle) timelines. I think the children were perhaps dropped off in AZ (or elsewhere en route) on Alex's trip in between 9/24 and 10/2. Although there's no factual basis yet established for this trip, I think the involvement of Tylee's Jeep (and possibly Alex) at the attempted shooting of BB makes it a logical assumption.

The only way I can possibly reconcile Lori's parents not speaking out is if they know the kids are safe. I say know and not believe because if It were me, and Alex were dead (MOO he committed suicide), and with the other deaths involved, I would have to be certain to stay silent.

Besides protecting Lori at the cost of your own grandchildren (which I suppose for some would be motive enough though incredibly immoral), what could be a motive for not cooperating?

I actually see this opposite, they are staying silent, because they know that their daughter has gone off the deep end. They probably know that the kids are dead. They just don't want to get involved with the drama, or potentially get charged for obstruction.

As I understand it she was a big fan of his books, and then from there possibly stalked him and laid the bait.

She was cute and gave him lots of attention on the road, maybe his big head wasn’t ready for that.

There was a book signing of his in Sugar City. I think it was then but JMO. Do we know if Joe Ryan had life insurance?

Yes, it appears that many believe it's just fine and dandy that Lori and Chad tell LE nothing... not one little speck of info about the children. "It's none of the government's business" seems to be the basic line of thinking.

I assume Lori wouldn’t want to bring LE to her parents door, or to anyone involved in suspicious behavior like Alex or Melani (their new partners)...

I have been pondering if whatever happened to the kids made Alex grow a conscience. That maybe for him it was the straw that broke the camel's back? Harming adults is one thing. Innocent kids is completely horrid. I could see this making Alex either suicidal or a huge burden to Lori. All MOO.

Even if LE didn't know where Chad and Lori were in late Nov (though they somehow knew the couple had "left the state"), I think they know now - but are waiting until they have bulletproof evidence of a major felony/crime to charge one or both of them (not to restart the whole "not knowing or divulging where your kids are" is a crime debate). I think LE wants to have as much leverage as possible (via the charges) in order to squeeze one or both of them into divulging the location of the children (which I think rightly has been everyone's main focus from the start).

The FBI is pretty good at finding people (license plate cams, vehicle GPS, cell phone triangulation, etc). Among other places, Chad & Lori could be in AZ, Vegas, UT, HI, or even in Missouri - specifically in the Gallatin area, or in between Jameson, Hwy 13, Gallatin, and the Grand River. Maybe that is a possible location to look for the children as well

Can someone explain "executive secretary" and was Chad doing that job and got sacked because of his Podcasts and stuff? That is the opinion I have formed from a few comments on here. I know he was a cemetery Sexton in Utah but what did he do in Rexburgh for paid work apart from his book income? He was bankrupt at one stage (2008 IIRC).

I think Chad was trying to distance himself from JR after her excommunication. And/or is it possible Chad was paying Lori to do some "writing" or other work?

I can’t find the exact post but I believe @RexburgSleuth mentioned they heard Chad was working on a book/editing with a new author. This could be Lori, I was assuming it was MG, since he wrote the forward to her book in February 2019.
