What widow benefits?
She would have been entiltled to widows benefits for herself after Charles's death because they were still married and survivors benefits for both JJ and Tylee since both of their fathers are deceased. All through Social Security. Her benefits would have stopped though as soon she married Chad. Which, now that I've typed all that out, makes me ponder...did she and CD actually get married or could it have been more spiritual.

I can’t find the exact post but I believe @RexburgSleuth mentioned they heard Chad was working on a book/editing with a new author. This could be Lori, I was assuming it was MG, since he wrote the forward to her book in February 2019.

RSBM & BBM That's my thinking. She's his new "partner"

JR was on the "outs" with CD (due to her excommunication)

MG had JM to be her partner (so to speak)

CD and LV were gonna be the next big thing

Even if LE didn't know where Chad and Lori were in late Nov (though they somehow knew the couple had "left the state"), I think they know now - but are waiting until they have bulletproof evidence of a major felony/crime to charge one or both of them (not to restart the whole "not knowing or divulging where your kids are" is a crime debate). I think LE wants to have as much leverage as possible (via the charges) in order to squeeze one or both of them into divulging the location of the children (which I think rightly has been everyone's main focus from the start).

The FBI is pretty good at finding people (license plate cams, vehicle GPS, cell phone triangulation, etc). Among other places, Chad & Lori could be in AZ, Vegas, UT, HI, or even in Missouri - specifically in the Gallatin area, or in between Jameson, Hwy 13, Gallatin, and the Grand River. Maybe that is a possible location to look for the children as well
It's interesting, I watched a podcast last night that someone here posted. I mean it was a youtube. True crime something. Some LE was on that said that you have the right not to say anything to LE, but when you LIE you break the law. So yes, it sounds like already they could be charged w/ Obstruction of Justice, and whatever "lie to LE" is called.

I bet they are hoping they lead to the kids. Or that someone does while they are waiting for the evidence to pile up.
And let me say this...IF YOU are hiding these kids....you are going down too!
Better go on and call and get your 20k reward now, loser.

Well noone has come up with the marriage record so far so maybe you are right. Perhaps they have just said they got married. It does seem strange the other two couples married over the Thanksgiving weekend but we have found no record of their marriage. MOO.

I think the grandmother JJ (or someone with him) was perhaps referring to when he (or someone close to him) said he was going to be visiting his grandmother would have been KVW and her husband (not sure if they live in AZ or TX). But I don't believe Lori or Alex or anyone else who may have given JJ the impression that he would soon be going to visit his grandmother, ever intended for the visit to really happen. I think LE, when following up on the assertion Lori made on Nov 26 that JJ wasn't home because he was visiting a friend (or relative?), discovered that in fact he had not arrived at, and was was not staying with, that friend (or relative)
Kay and Larry live in Louisiana. So if JJ was going to visit grandma in Arizona, he presumably meant Lori's mother.

Can you cite your widow benefits source? To the best of my knowledge CV wasn't retired and she's only 46. I'm pretty sure we talked about this on an earlier thread. Jmo

I think it happened in Hawaii, specifically Kauai, based only upon Lori’s Instagram name. lolo4kauai , and a couple of photos a friend posted of Lori and Tylee in July of 2018. The photos were also tagged with the St. Regis Princeville Resort and Kauai Beach Resort. Both spots look like good places for a beach wedding/honeymoon. I’ve tried to look for a marriage certificate there, but I don’t think these are public. MOO

Death, cult rumors surround case of 2 missing Idaho kids missing since September; grandparents offer $20K reward

There is a small quote in here from JR.

"Church spokesman Eric Hawkins declined to comment, saying the case doesn't involve the faith.

Two months after Lori Vallow moved to Idaho, Tammy Daybell died at her home. She was just 49, and her obituary said she died of natural causes on Oct. 19. Police would later question that and have her body exhumed for an autopsy, whose results have not been released yet.

Chad Daybell married Lori Vallow just two weeks after Tammy's death.

In the meantime, relatives were growing more concerned about the children. Larry and Kay Woodcock said they were only able to reach JJ a few times after his father died in July. They have left voice messages, emails and texts since August but haven't heard back.

Investigators later determined JJ and Tylee had not been seen since September, but Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell never reported them missing.

Julie Rowe, a self-described "visionary" and "energy worker" who says she has long been friends with Daybell, uploaded a video on her website defending him and claiming his innocence in the children's disappearances and the death of his previous wife. She said Daybell repeatedly told her he had a vision of Tammy's death. Rowe claimed to have the same vision.

"My angels tell me that Chad Daybell is being falsely accused of the suspicious death of his wife," she said in the video. "I have talked to Tammy's spirit."

Two days before Thanksgiving, officers visited Lori and Chad to check on the children after getting calls from worried family members.

Investigators said the couple claimed JJ and Tylee were visiting relatives in Arizona. After discovering the lie, investigators returned to the home the next day - only to find Lori and Chad had left town."

Does the mention of JR and her latest video in this recent MSM mean we can post and fully discuss that video?

Is it likely the FBI is tracking not only Lori and Chad's financial activities but also that of her immediate family?? I'm really just wondering about the legal aspects of the FBI's ability to do this relatively easily.
Given the things that can be found about Lori's immediate family I would certainly hope so.

You don't have to be retired when you die for you widow and minor survivors to receive benefits after you die.
"
Who receives benefits?
Certain family members may be eligible to receive monthly benefits, including:

  • A widow or widower age 60 or older (age 50 or older if disabled);
  • A surviving divorced spouse, under certain circumstances;
  • A widow or widower at any age who is caring for the deceased’s child who is under age 16 or disabled and receiving benefits on their record;
  • An unmarried child of the deceased who is:
    • Younger than age 18 (or up to age 19 if he or she is a full-time student in an elementary or secondary school); or
    • Age 18 or older with a disability that began before age 22."

Thanks for the info on where Kay and Larry live. I also didn't know that Lori's mother lived in AZ. Could you please indicate where in AZ? (I thought she/they lived in CA...).

In addition to the neighbor who said JJ had indicated he was perhaps going to visit his grandmother, I think LE reported that Lori stated that JJ was visiting a friend in AZ.

Welp, even if this started as some anti-government conspiracy I think there is almost a zero percent chance Tammy wasnt murdered (but I'm no visionary!). All the other deaths could be coincidence (though I don't think so). So, I hope those results come out and are definitive Chad or Lori was involved. What if they try to pin it all on Alex, as he's now dead and can't be prosecuted?

Sheriff details what happened when deputies responded to Tammy Daybell’s death as Lori Daybell’s son makes a passionate plea

January 7, 2020

FREMONT COUNTY — Lori Vallow Daybell’s son is making a plea to his mother and telling her to reveal information about his missing sister, Tylee Ryan, and brother, Joshua “JJ” Vallow.

“I can’t tell you how hurt and frustrated and confused I am about what’s going on,” Colby Ryan said in a video posted on his YouTube channel. “You have the power to end this. You have an opportunity to put this all to rest.”

[...]

“There is a lot of concern for the safety of the kids,” Humphries said. “The information that is coming out of Arizona in reference to deaths of multiple people is concerning.”

One of the deaths Humphries is referring to is that of Lori’s former husband, Charles Vallow. He was shot and killed in July while picking up JJ from Lori in Chandler, Arizona. Police said he was shot in self-defense and the man who pulled the trigger was Lori’s brother, Alex Cox. Cox died Dec. 12 and the cause of his death has not been released.

Tylee’s dad, Joseph Ryan, passed away of an apparent heart attack in 2018. He had been divorced from Lori for some time.

Then there’s Chad’s former wife, Tammy Daybell, who died at her home in Salem Oct. 19.

“My deputies responded and, as we do with most unattended deaths, they took pictures, they looked it over and contacted our detectives,” Humphries says.” The detectives had a few questions, they satisfied those, got the information they needed and didn’t see anything that alarmed them.”

[...]

EastIdahoNews.com asked Humphries if Chad Daybell was acting unusual or suspicious when deputies were at the home.

“To my knowledge, he was responding like anybody would whose spouse had just passed away. That’s why the deputies didn’t suspect anything suspicious,” Humphries said.

A few days later, Humphries said his office was alerted by detectives in Arizona about the other deaths. Tammy’s body was exhumed from the Springville Evergreen Cemetary and an autopsy was performed. Investigators are waiting for autopsy lab results, which could take a few more weeks.

One question that has been raised is whether Tammy Daybell had a large life insurance policy. Humphries said he could not comment on that issue but confirmed it is being investigated.

“There is some information along those lines that I’m not at liberty to speak about right now,” he said.

What’s interesting to me is that it is continually gets messed up about the fact that LE went to look for JJ Only. Only after investigating did they discovery Tylee missing. Sheriff confirmed here.

Occam's razor, what is the simplest explanation for the disappearance of the children?

1. Lori has taken them into hiding, with Chad. They continue to be on the run from authorities.

2. Authorities follow up on "Well Check", for JJ, Lori brings him to the door, shows his birth certificate, with her as his legal Mother, and tells LEO that there is no law to force her to produce her child to talk to his Grandparents. They agree, see JJ is fine, and leave.

3. The children were in Lori's way, of having her "perfect" relationship with Chad. Same as Tammy Daybell.

Not really a big deal from the standpoint of the rest of your comment, but they live in Lake Charles, LA (subject of a great Lucinda Williams song) which is close to the TX/LA border west of Houston.

Right...whatever this is (I honestly think custody is in play based off of things on fb that can't be posted on here) it most certainly started and centers around JJ. Tylee has appeared as an after thought to me from day one. :( MOO

Oh I disagree. I just don’t think LE knew she was missing at the first knock on the door. I don’t think it was custody at all.

I think the reason is JJ had a bunch of relatives such as grandparents, biological parents, Charles's siblings, etc, who were concerned about him. While Tylee's father was dead. If her father were still alive, I am sure he would have been concerned, but we as we all know he died of supposed heart attack.
