Yeah.. Lori drains his bank account, takes his Ford truck, sells and gives away all his belongings including furniture... and somehow manages to steal his phone too? Then steals his rental car after they kill him... Full on emasculation. Charles, you've been had!

She took him for everything... ultimately his life... and still seems to keep taking (via JJ).

Knowing the multi level marketing and holistic methods abounding in Utah, she could have been taking any number of unmarked capsules, which are easy to open and change ingredients.

I believe there is someone now in the family who works for one of those MLM healthy supplement companies.

Lori took Charles' rental car. How did she get the keys? Looks like Charles had no ID on him when police arrived. So was his wallet taken from his dead body? Or when he was still alive? Or did he leave his wallet in the car?
His phone was somehow taken when he arrived, and as such he couldn't even call for help.
Maybe he came in and Alex pulled the gun on him and forced him to give up the phone, which he may have been threatening to call police with. That right there would be a crime.

Its bizarre to me that so many people are unlocatable.
Lori and her new husband
The two kids
The niece and her new husband
ACs widow???
How do 5 or 6 people just vanish without any leads to follow?
I feel like there has to be more than what the police are sharing. I would think they would have wanted posters and media apperances canvassing suspected areas asking for the publics help. I find it really hard to believe these people covered their tracks perfectly.

The other thing im wondering is do we actually know the kids didnt disappear before CV was killed. When was the last time anyone physically saw them?
Are we just assuming they were there because lori and her brother claimed it?
I think AC's widow was contacted by media and had "no comment". MB and IP are not POI's so it is only 2 kids missing because IMO LE know where CD and LVD are.

.. And Lori has the audacity to pretend to be offended when called out for her lousy, dangerous, mobster style parenting...

Yeah...this whole taking CV phone away from him. You just don't take a phone from a full grown man. He must have been under duress to have lost possession of his phone. We all carry them on our person.

Totally an opinion, but based on....some stuff. I think something needed to be done about Charles, so when the opportunity arose, it was taken. (Exhibit A: Joe Ryan, stun gun, Alex.)

The rest of us, if someone came after us with a baseball bat, wouldn't kill somebody. There are plenty of alternatives but this went nuclear. As sick as it makes me to say this, I think it was inevitable.

Is this the full 911 call?

911 audio: Brother-in-law shot man months before son went missing

** I added this to the media thread

Thank you! Alex sounds so calm and matter of fact.
My summary:
The 911 operator walks Alex through doing CPR and we can hear swooshing sounds like maybe he is doing something.
He says the gun is in the bedroom.
No one else was in the house when he called 911.
It's Alex's gun, a .45 pistol.
At one point they ask if Alex is still doing chest compressions and he says "yes" but we couldn't hear any sounds like he was right before that was asked, then he starts doing something again/there are sounds again briefly like he is going through the motions the 911 operator told him to do.
Alex says the shooting happened 5 minutes before he called.
911 operator asks if CV was armed, Alex says "he came at me with a bat".
911 operator asks if he was drinking or doing drugs today, Alex says "I don't know but I've never seen him that enraged before".
911 operator asks where CV lives; Alex says Houston.
911 operator asks where Lori is and Alex says she is taking her son to school.
911 operator asks if CV is responding to CPR and Alex says he's not responding at all.
(Note: its quiet in background during 911 operators questions and we don't hear any chest compression sounds as Alex answers most of the questions.)
911 operator tells Alex to walk outside with his hands up and Alex does that.
We hear the officers clearing the house and the start of the questioning of Alex on the curb that we saw in the bodycam video before the 911 audio cuts off.

All (non)essential oils. :)

Alex seems to have a definitely flat affect * or just an unconcerned tone * during this call. And, I heard (didn't hear) what you've listed. But, one thing I noticed is that he says (in reply to where's Lori question), "I think she took her son to school." Is he unsure? I'm probably just picking at words that aren't of importance... easy to do when listening to 911 calls.

I don't hear well at all. Was Alex out of breath at all when he was doing CPR? It isn't necessarily easy. JMO

I wonder if that's the most calm, cool, and collected 911 call involving a shooting, those operators have ever heard? Most calls I've heard here at WS, the caller is so frantic small details escape them. Alex spells names, answers questions and isn't even breathing hard doing CPR? Surreal to listen to.

No he wasn't out of breath at all. He sounded even toned and flat most of the time. MOO.

Good overview. Some of my thoughts/observations, especially concerning the bolded parts:

About 30 seconds into the call the operator asks AC "how long ago did this [the shooting] happen?" AC replies "a couple [2] minutes." Later he'll tell another operator that he shot him "about 5 minutes" before he called 911.

911 operator: "And are you wanting to start CPR?" BBM
Alex: *long pause* "No, I don't know how to do that."
911 operator: *quickly* "I can walk you through it!"
Alex: "ok"
911 operator then gives detailed instructions to Alex on how to perform CPR, which would have required him to put his phone down, or have it awkwardly pressed to his ear by his shoulder, but there is no indication of this.
The background "swooshing" noises you described only ever happen when the female 911 operator is instructing AC on CPR and counting out the compressions, and goes silent when she's not talking. It is my opinion that the background noise is coming from her (is she actually performing CPR on a mannequin?) and/or her phone line, and not from Alex at all.
There is a point when AC breathes heavily and exhales twice as if he is exerting himself while the female operator is counting out repetitions, but to me it almost sounds as if Alex realizes she is exerting herself and therefore he needs to sound like he is too. In other words his exertion sounds faked. Moo.

Also throughout the call you can audibly hear Alex's voice changing as if he's moving about the house and entering/exiting different rooms. For example, when he's in the front room with the body there's a slight echo because the room is open, empty, and with a wood floor, whereas when he's in a bedroom his voice is more muted because of the clutter and carpeting breaking up any reverberation.

In the police body cam footage there is no blood on Alex' hands as he walks from the house. This after supposedly performing chest compressions on the guy he had just shot twice in the chest.

I don't buy that Alex performed CPR at all. He didn't sound in the least bit interested. He knew that CV was already dead, and had already waited at least 5 minutes (according to his own report) before calling 911. He was just going through the motions and pretending to do CPR over the phone so as to sound cooperative and like he was trying to be helpful and save his life. Moo.

Your supposition may be spot on but i want to point out that he may of been on a bluetooth device so his hands were free and his movements were not restricted.
I did find it odd that he was answering questions while he suppose to be performing CPR.
As far as his time estimates go, in a situation like that, heighten adrenaline and all, 10sec might seem like 10 min. I would not put much stock in that.
Even his demeanor some have pointed out was strange, and i agree it was, but it might of been due to shock. People react differently under stress

I just want to point out he wasn't on Bluetooth. When he came out of the house to meet LE you can see from the body cam he had both hands up while using his shoulder to keep his phone to his ear while talking to 911. LE reported this as well.

Alex IS probably unsure exactly where Lori has gone with the kids, and if she has taken Charles’ rental car, etc. if she just bailed with them (right after the shot? right before the shot?) and he was on the phone with 911/in the house.
Maybe the keys were left in the car originally by Charles, and his car was blocking the others?
