That place looked like a wreck. No furniture. Why? Did they sell in prep for a master plan?

where was Charles’s wallet...

Secondly: prayers with family as I imagine they might be seeing this for the first time.
I guess she took his wallet when she took his keys? moo.

Off the cuff my theory is they backed into the driveway. I'm wondering if Lori took the kids out through the garage to another car parked next to the truck.

I dunno. Jmo
Alex says his sister is in Charles’s car.

I’ll have to look at timeline, so I don’t know if it was gone by then, but definitely no therapy dog there either.

Just love that Lum got this info!!!

Sad though.

And, now I have more questions.
Yea, this is all kind of bizarre. Alex tried to intervene and got struck in the back of the head? Does that even make any sense whatsoever? How do you get struck in the back of the head if you are intervening? You don't intervene with your back turned to the person who has the bat, I would think.

I noticed a photograph of an LDS temple (not sure which one, but I might assume Gilbert) on the wall of the family room. Only decoration in the whole home! It speaks to what I've learned about the fringe group(s)--one foot in the mainstream LDS church, one foot in their own beliefs.

The rest MOO: I have always wondered if Charles and Lori were sealed in an LDS temple (some years after their marriage in Vegas). Charles converted to Mormonism, and Lori has been described as devout--a temple marriage would have been something she would have been striving for. But perhaps she and JAR were already sealed--he converted also. From my observation, a temple sealing can make people less likely to break up a marriage, even a bad one (thinking about why Charles dropped the divorce and he and Lori tried to reconcile in the spring). If they were sealed, and they fully legally adopted JJ together (which as far as I know, they did), then they likely would have had him sealed to them, also. But if Lori hadn't ever been sealed, I can imagine she could be on the lookout for a "righteous guy" who would take her to the temple someday. She wouldn't be the first pretty Mormon lady I've seen trade in a good-looking, wealthy, but perhaps less "righteous" husband for a homely sack of potatoes who spouts all the right religious lines. MOO.

How about that picture of Tylee. Do you think it was from that day? It’s the first one I have seen of that image.

Now, this question. Would CPS have become involved in this type of situation? Should they have been involved? Were they? Counseling mandated at all?

Per the incident report there were 2 .45 caliber shell casings to the right of CV's body. He was close to the wall. Anyone know ballistics? Is that close range?

You would think they should have. Especially if they are saying the female juvenile was the one who brought the bat to the scene.

No, but why did the guy on scene say 4 shots?

If he is guility of foul play, why wouldnt he of cremated her?

Nothing about the pieces story falls into place. Its all very messy.

Yes.... Most 45 Auto handguns ( Glocks, Sigs, 1911 Colts, etc.) throw the casings out and to the right when fired, because most people are right handed....moo

That's been discussed at length before, but the short answer is that cremation is very uncommon in Utah/Idaho Mormon culture, and is actually discouraged by church leaders where burial is possible (though it *is* allowed). Cremation would have raised significant red flags. The service and burial timeline was quite short compared to usual. A rush to get her in the ground, it seems, which did apparently raise red flags for some.

Maybe he saw 4 holes( in and out) in the body that were similar in size.... A 45 usually leaves a much bigger hole when exiting a body....moo

I don’t know. He didn’t touch him to turn him over to see and he says twice in chest.

So female juvenile (Tylee) shows up with the bat (by the way people were posting this before) because her step father is arguing with her mother. Which is kind of weird, because nobody suggested that was a physical argument, only verbal. Furthermore her uncle is there (who served time for assault, so surely much more suitable defender than a teenage girl who is five feet tall). Why would she feel the need to show up with a bat?

So, if they throw to the right then Alex was standing closer to the front door facing more towards the kitchen? And Charles was facing him, with shots to the chest? What he turned around and over flat backwards?

He says more than once that there's multiple shots. One time he counts to 4, at another point I believe he says "lots" or "several" shots were fired. That's as much NEW news as the idea that Tylee was wielding the bat.

Can we also talk about how bare the whole place is?

Would to the right mean on the living room side? So the person shooting him would have been on the bedroom side?

wonder if ballistics (residue) was done?

Right--- the place is so bare yet they have a base ball bat.... anyone see any other sports equipment in the house? (unless they keep that stuff out in the garage)

I mean maybe she got it to give to someone? Maybe Alex was attacking Charles and she hit Alex?
