She suggested a shared custody to Brandon. I don't know exactly when that was but guess it was before the 2 Oct attempt on his life. I just think she would do anything to help Lori, much the same as Alex. I also think Tylee may be helping her mum keeping Jj hidden. MOO.

It was about two weeks after the October 2nd shooting that she texted him about custody.

A timeline of the events surrounding the disappearance of J.J. Vallow and Tylee Ryan

Her new husband is from Rexburg. Locals have said they have seen them at church. Perhaps @RexburgSleuth can verify.

If you have Facebook, I suggest skimming the comments under all Justin Lum Fox 10 postings on this case. Specifically the Jan 14, 10:23am, for mention of MB or more specifically MP. It is public commentary and shouldn't be taken as fact,(I really feel like I'm eavesdropping at the local coffeeshop/bar when I do this) but... if you are looking for a clue on where MP might be, there it is.

Very interesting. I hadn't thought about them using ham radio to communicate. Chad and Lori are not licensed, as far as I can tell, but I was surprised when I typed Daybell into the search here: FCC License Data Search

Whoa, I don't think I've ever followed a case that has this many twists and turns, and new things that I've never seen before. I've never seen anything on television that followed ham radio connections for case either. Should we assume that the FBI considers this, as they are knowing, but disregards?

This case is just so very very strange.

I had looked into that and seen that license a few days ago and wondered how it figured in. Following up on it, I learned that in the prepper community, ham radio license is encouraged as part of being prepared. I will have to find it again, but I found a document from AVOW where they were trying to organize some groups that would gather *before* the call-out they expect from the church, if normal communication methods went down for 24 hours (due to a disaster, attack, etc.). If you wanted to be a captain of your geographical group, there were requirements you had to meet. One of them was ham radio license and radio towers. The mainstream church itself already has a whole neighborhood network/plan in place for disaster response, and the AVOW idea sounded very similar, but I guess they wanted their own secondary network with, as they repeatedly say all over their site, "like-minded" people.

They don't talk all that much. The only real new information I picked up on is that the F-150 pickup in the driveway is AC's, and AC is a long haul truck driver who "hauls hazardous waste" (his own words). Someone earlier intimated that since he was driving out to Bentonville Arkansas that he worked for Walmart, but I don't think that's the case. He says in the video that he picks up loads in Coolidge from whatever customers hire him out for (solvents, and I couldn't make out the other chemicals/waste he listed) and takes it to a disposal facility out in Little Rock/Bentonville Arkansas.

I agree it's not Walmart. MOO, but I think it's Heritage Environmental. They have a location in Coolidge, AZ and a disposal site in Arkansas, both mentioned in this article about the trucks they lease (Heritage Transport: Cutting Edge In the World of Environmental Waste Hauling), and I actually saw a Hazmat Over-the-Road (which means long-distance) trucker job announcement from them posted August 9, 2019. On Gray Hughes, the family member said Alex quit his job around the time of the shooting. Here is the job announcement: Truck Driver - Over the Road Job in Coolidge, AZ at Heritage Environmental Services, LLC

But I don't think that particular job is related to aspects of the case or finding the kids, other than the job conditioning Alex to be able to make long drives, no problem.

@RexburgSleuth

Every single time I see the phrase “Tammy around every corner,” it doesn’t strike me as grief - instead, it reeks of guilt, IMO. Has your impression of Chad’s reactions changed?

So Chad was said to have wanted out of the publishing business... what did he intend to do instead?

I’ve been having a difficult time feeling sympathy for the Daybell children, though I understand it can take a great deal to break free from indoctrination. But your words today made me see another possibly...

For any of the various sides of family, Daybell, Cox, etc... If the fog were to lift, and they acknowledged it publicly, there’s a decent chance their lives - or those of their families - would be at risk.

I would hope that law enforcement is ready to protect anyone that does come forward.
My impression has changed because of the preponderance of strange coincidences. At first as I said I assumed it was grief. Now I'm 50/50 between grief and guilt. I don't know what he would have intended other than publishing. The comments were all after he left in October.

Thanks for your patience in working through the car thing with me yesterday. And it is great to see you verified. I hope through this you do not have any repercussions or safety fears.

One thing I’m curious about in regards to Chad editing the book. Did Chad say Hawaii in general? Did anyone ever seem to know which island?

Also, I think I saw it asked but I didn’t check to see if answered, so I apologize if this is duplicate. Did Tammy ever meet Lori to your knowledge? I’m wondering if somehow Lori could have had independent access to Tammy. Do you know if Lori attended the graveside of Tammy’s funeral?
No idea where in Hawaii and it was secondhand information. I'm not sure if Tammy ever met Lori. Of the photos I've seen at Tammy's graveside, Lori was not in them AFAIK.

Very interesting. I hadn't thought about them using ham radio to communicate. Chad and Lori are not licensed, as far as I can tell, but I was surprised when I typed Daybell into the search here: FCC License Data Search
If Chad had a Ham radio license he had no noticeable equipment, even from the prior home owner.

What is your source for placing her in Rexburg? In MSM she mentions Boise.

I have not seen her in person. I understand her husband is also from Rexburg. The number of LDS wards in Rexburg is fairly high. 28 buildings with appx 2-3 wards each (56-84 wards) AFAIK. I have not seen them.

I suspect either the person who says she said Boise got it wrong (Idaho, Boise, same thing) or Melani did, not knowing there is more to Idaho than Boise. Or maybe she thought she was going to be in Boise, but I really suspect it was just a misunderstanding or confusion.

This is really interesting information about AC's jobs, since the route he would drive to Coolidge or to Arkansas, may narrow the search area for JJ and Tylee, if the children are no longer alive. Just looked up directions from San Tan Valley, AZ to Coolidge, AZ on google maps and there is a very large area of empty desert. MOO

Relative of missing children believes attempt on his life is connected to a religious group

Less than two weeks later, Brandon says he got a text message from Melani, saying she planned to move to Boise, Idaho and the kids could stay with him in Arizona or go with her.

MOO The above is from the article, seems like Melani maybe intentionally lied to Brandon, so she wouldn't lead LE directly to Rexburg?MOO

Certainly telling him a lie is possible and can't be ruled out. Worst case, if or when she's found out she can play stupid.

Having had people confuse Idaho and Iowa and Ohio with me, I also can't rule out that she knew she was going to Idaho and was proud to know the only city in Idaho and assumed that was where she was going or thought Rexburg was a suburb or something. :) MOO

So around 16 Oct she said she planned to move to Boise, she didn't say she was in Boise then. If she was the sister in the Rexburg apartment then she would have been living there then presumably until Nov 27th.

But he didn't have that job anymore after moving to Rexburg (and possibly before). I think it's more likely we need to narrow our view to routes from Rexburg to the Phoenix area. The kids were not seen after Sept. 24, and then Tylee's jeep was the car involved in the attempt on Brandon in suburban Phoenix on Oct. 2. Though we don't know for sure that Tylee's jeep ever went to Rexburg in the first place, my speculation is that it did go there, before being driven back to Arizona, then back to Rexburg again, where it is impounded (per family member on Gray Hughes, and also inferring from what RexburgSleuth said).

MOO, but the kids are either still in the Rexburg area (extending up to Island Park) being concealed by "like-minded people," or are concealed by family or friends or "like-minded people" in Arizona. Maybe Utah or Missouri also. Remote possibility Hawaii, flying under false names. If they are not alive, their remains are in the area surrounding Rexburg or are somewhere along that same Rexburg-Phoenix route. Plenty of remote areas to choose from. MOO MOO MOO.

Dupe? DBM

Edit: Nope. Not a dupe. Board's acting strange. Maybe we need a new thread?

Just watched a good portion of the GH YT video of AC being taken to the PD and I am shocked at how he was treated like a celebrity guest when he just killed a man! There they are shooting the breeze, drinking their bottled water, making sure AC can feel the air conditioning, and talking about how hot it is in the police vest, etc... Did they even interrogate him later or just continue having a friendly convo. I can't believe it how easily he got off! MOO.

Idle musings - The encrypted Ham Radio/Morse Code secret communications thoughts are very good ones for this "end timers" group. Also encrypted CB radio communications are possible. Did these " endtimers groups" also discuss how to obtain "false identities and false identity documents ?".......HazMat truck driver, Brother Alex knew just about all the "clean and dirty secrets" on everyone involved. Alex is now dead. Makes you wonder about him and all that barreled and bagged Hazmat material, doesn't it ? .....moo

Right, he didn't have the job, but he still was familiar with the route.

In the GH Youtube text exchange with the family member, it's hearsay, but Gray asks them what they think happened, and they thought AC took the kids out to the desert, like he had previously done with Lori's dogs from Charles. Basing all my speculation on this, around min 56:00 GH's asks Lori's Family member what they think happened to the kids.

A daughter and grandchildren are missing, a son and son-in-law are dead.

So do her parents
--know where the children were are and are confident in their safety?
--have no relationship with the children at all?
--have reasons for protecting themselves from the limelight?

I do see why some of the extended family doesn't want to be associated with this, but...grandparents? I just can't understand their reasons for not stepping forward to work with the Vallow family members to find their grandchildren.

I'm starting to wonder if they're scared to step forward. Maybe they're holding onto hope the kids are still alive and don't want to enrage Lori. Jmo.

As Lori's personality didn't get shaped in a vacuum, I'm betting you're right.

IMO, either her biological family bent over backwards to please her all her life or lives in fear of her; or maybe both.

Oh yes, as far as starting from Phoenix and heading that direction. I think I misunderstood you at first, that you were saying maybe he took the kids all the way/most of the way to Arkansas. I agree with you that the route he would have taken leaving town on his usual run would be a good place to focus on if it comes to looking for remains, which I REALLY hope it doesn't. I keep swinging back and forth on the kids being alive or not, but most of the time I think they are alive.

From what I have been able to gather elsewhere (SM) they (Lori's parents/sister) see Lori AND Alex as can do no wrong and just misunderstood and wrongfully accused. Lori has been adored her entire life by family and friends and they refuse to see what is really happening. They have supported them before through troubles and the blame has always gone to the other party - not Lori - not Alex. But they need to rise above the scrutiny to stand up for those kids - that is more important. Moo.
