If I was a friend of the family, I would feel free to comment on it without the investigation been compromised. I would never be called to trial, and I would feel comfortable sharing information without compromising the investigation.

If I had inside information, and I was a family member that talked to the law enforcement and something was relevant, I would never ever ever speak to the media or go on social media that might compromise the investigation or give fodder for a future defense attorney to my going on social media and influencing and telling things outside the investigation. We've seen that with a few cases and I would not want that to happen. MOO.

Perhaps that is what we are seeing?

That very well could be. We've come to expect people to vomit everything they know all over SM. I, for one, don't. Jmo

I'm caught up on the threads, and I don't understand what today's announcement about the Doomsday Clock is.. I know about July, but what is new today today?

I'm sorry, I must have missed something.

Link?

Bumping my link and post below for you.

Doomsday Clock nearer to apocalypse than ever

This is a bit concerning. The doomsday preppers will be ramping up the procedures.

100 seconds to Doomsday yikes :-(

"The idea began in 1947 to warn humanity of the dangers of nuclear war.

Last year the clock was set at two minutes to midnight - midnight symbolises the end of the world - the same place it was wound to in 2018."

Can we reference the Gray video: as fact, hearsay, or a mix of both? I finally listened to it. Jeez! I should not have avoided it for so long.

Sure does. Makes me wonder all kinds of things. Has LE checked the disposal site? Does DS keep records of where they put containers from each drop and could they identify the containers AC delivered? Would it be possible for him to drop a couple of containers in a rogue location on the site without anyone noticing? Could he have gotten in and dumped something even after he left his job. After he left that job did he visit some other hazmat disposal site? Can anyone show up at those places and just drop stuff off?

Can barrels be scanned to see if they contain remains or do they have to be opened to be searched? Are there substances you could put in a barrel that would dissolve remains?

I imagine it would take a lot of man hours and extensive hazmat gear to keep searchers safe. Time and $$$. At what point (if any) would LE undertake such a search effort?
This is a horrible thought but if those barrels or containers have hazardous waste items like asbestos or plasterboard or waste oil then it is highly likely they have to go thru a secondary process at the site when any human remains would perhaps come to light hopefully. I don't think they are just buried like landfill. But I am not completely sure, so this is just my opinion of how it may be handled.

My impression has changed because of the preponderance of strange coincidences. At first as I said I assumed it was grief. Now I'm 50/50 between grief and guilt. I don't know what he would have intended other than publishing. The comments were all after he left in October.

No idea where in Hawaii and it was secondhand information. I'm not sure if Tammy ever met Lori. Of the photos I've seen at Tammy's graveside, Lori was not in them AFAIK.

If Chad had a Ham radio license he had no noticeable equipment, even from the prior home owner.

I have not seen her in person. I understand her husband is also from Rexburg. The number of LDS wards in Rexburg is fairly high. 28 buildings with appx 2-3 wards each (56-84 wards) AFAIK. I have not seen them.
Can you explain the wards to us non-Mormons.

A ward is a single congregation. Typically 2 or 3 wards share the same church building, but each has their own Bishop (ward leader/lay minister) and other leadership. Generally (with some exceptions, I think) you're assigned to a specific ward based on where you live. Someone else will have to estimate the number of people in a typical ward.

I have family that are police. It's to make the suspect comfortable and talking. It's a tactic.
Well I am sure the family members of Charles are thrilled he was treated like a celebrity.

Anywhere up about 300 people. I've heard of larger wards, but that's the general size.

It mentioned arterial sclerosis and I think it said no foul play. But I did only quickly scan it. Poison would not cause arterial sclerosis would it?

It also states the manner of death as "natural".

From the AC arrest warrant paperwork concerning JR

BBM

Ryan was treated at the scene by Austin EMS. He was not transported to the hospital at that time, but he did go to the hospital the next afternoon with chest pains and was admitted overnight for observation. He had neck and wrist pain as well. He was found to have a fracture in his right wrist from the fall.

At the time of the assault, Ryan reported he was in fear for his life. When the accused first reached into his clothing, he thought the accused was going to shoot him. The accused made a threat to kill Ryan. When Ryan was on the ground being shocked, he felt the accused would seriously injure him as he was still suffering from the effects of being stunned (shocked).

MOO I'm assuming Lori would know JR's medical history as his wife. Perhaps she knew he had heart issues, and thought an assault with a taser might be enough to trigger a heart attack? Sort of similar to possible motive behind the paint ball incident with Tammy? MOO

Well, the guy who won the lottery and got poisoned by cyanide was ruled natural too. So what does that tell you?
"The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled that he died of natural causes since no signs of trauma were found on his body and a preliminary blood test raised no questions."
Lottery winner's cyanide poisoning death remains unsolved five years later

Never heard anyone describe Tylee this way. Is there any evidentiary support for a scenario where Tylee took her little brother into hiding because she was afraid of all the whackadoodles she was with and just has no way to let anyone know where they are? Maybe trying to survive in the woods or something?
You think she is surviving in the woods for four months now?

I guess it is possible they thought that, but I think this assault with the stun gun was several years before his eventual death though (ETA 11 years before). The Tammy "paintball" gun incident was only a week or so before her death IIRC.

It was, but maybe it was the first attempt on his life? MOO

More like 10 years. But regardless, some poisons metabolize quickly. If the tests aren't done right away, they are not going to be found. And I don't think in Josephs case any toxicology was done at all.

It did say in the report they took and held thigh tissue samples from JR. I know many poisons are not found if not immediately tested for, but I have to wonder if they still have these samples and if they could still attempt to have them tested?

Is that around 300 active members or total members?
300 total members. Sometimes larger or smaller depending on the area.

Finding no signs of trauma is not the same as finding evidence of arterial sclerosis which is what the autopsy found in JR case. To find poisons, I believe they would have to know what poison to test for in the first place but MOO. At least JR had an autopsy done, unlike Tammy. I believe that is why medicines were taken in the search warrant at the Daybell home, to have an idea what to test for.

Reading over the document, I don't think Joseph actually even had what we would consider an autopsy. Sounds like what was done is an external examination of the body. If internal examination was done, they would be talking about appearance of his organs, and there is none of that in the report.

Right, I think I'm just saying.. Lori wouldn't have been heart broken at the time if JR had actually died during the assault by AC. We have no idea what really happened to JR. I'm just speculating: If I wanted someone dead/hired someone to kill them, I would much rather them die of "natural causes" than a gun shot, especially if the person I hired was my brother. JR was cremated... if Tammy had been also we might not be talking so much about this case. MOO
