True... but then he was building his "story" with others. The key to me was when he tried to say he didn't know her phone number, but then crumbled with LE a few minutes later. This is why my money is on "who will crack first"
Typical bully coward

I have a feeling either 1. We will see that these family names are connected from generations ago or 2. We wont.

That's intense. ;)

Just want to thank everyone for all the updates as I try to catch up with the case.

The only thing I want to add at this point is something I havent seen mentioned yet. IMO, I think if Lori was involved in the planning or actions of any of the previous deaths like her Ex, then I think it became easier for her to maybe take out the kids too because at that point her thought process could have been "what the heck, if they catch me being involved in one, its not much worse if Im involved in 2 or 3 more".

I know it would be stupid to think like that but it could have been her thoughts and could have explained why so many around her seemed to be dropping like flies.

This case is beyond incredible. I hope its not as bad as it seems right now.
nope on the stupid thing. Many of us think this. I, for one, keep going back to JR having actually been a catalyst.

I wonder what Chad is talking about when he says he no longer aligns with JR's teachings, because their beliefs were the same, so where is he going with this....? MOO
I think he means since she was ex'd he no longer aligns with her teachings. I guess he would say that wouldn't he?

Hey Everyone,

Websleuths is in a bind. The server bill needs to be paid tomorrow. Because the ad revenue was so low in January we don't have the money to make the bills this month. The server is one bill and it is due the soonest.

If you can donate CLICK THIS LINK and it will take you to PayPal.

I want to stress, DO NOT DONATE if you cannot afford it. I know many members are on very strict budgets and I do not want anyone to feel obligated in any way.

Thank you very much.

Tricia

Bringing this post forward. Everyone, please give if you are able.
We wouldn't want WS to have to shut down right before Lori's next hearing (Next Monday).

So why are they still called a Tabernacle? If you are going to a conference in a Tabernacle it gives the impression it is sanctioned by the church. Seems to me like a blind eye is being turned against these activities.

^^^This. The City of Rexburg needs to rename it if they haven't and insist proper terminology be used. "Rexburg Municipal Convention Ctr" or something. Jmo

and where is this.? so sorry... I feel I am missing some comments...
There is a tabernacle building in Idaho, Rexburg that was referenced as where that conference group held some event. That's what this is referencing. It was built by the church but no longer owned by it.

It occurred to me that this may also take place for historical reasons. Isn't there one in Independence, MO that is no longer owned by the church?
There could be - I have only been there once so I can't be certain on that one.

I might have some ideas on that... This is speculation based upon those in my circles and what I'm understanding that way.

Julie believes Rexburg to be a "safe place" during the "callout" and it's likely why he wanted to move there to begin with. Since he's rejecting her stuff now... I guess it doesn't matter if he rides out all the tribulations in Hawaii because he now has his own version of things that obviously rejects Julie's Rexburg ideas.

Julie has a lot of out there ideas to be honest. I read her first two books and it was not well written, and bizarre, and convoluted to be honest. It made her "believers" panic. Panic is not a good sign though... so I rejected it outright.

Julie has taught via her books that one Sunday there will be a meeting that all who have all their food storage are invited to attend (elitist in my opinion) and that only these people will be informed of the coming "callout" that removes all the best people from most of the dangers of the tribulation period into "tent cities" in the mountains and they will be there for a couple years and God will hide them from everyone and purify them. This is why there is more of a push toward the prepping with these people than with average LDS members.

These are just some of the odd things Julie has taught and obviously Chad is saying he rejects a lot of her beliefs now (though he didn't always) and that anyone applying her beliefs to him is going to be wrong in his motives and ideas. That part is likely the truth - but only because he's come up with all his own doctrine now.
And he has a new story to write now hasn't he? "I married a translated being".

It's probably considered a historical building, hence why they have not renamed it. *shrug*

The irony is he likely split from Julie's teachings when he became enamored with Lori... and they have fed off each other now. So his beliefs would have shifted to accommodate hers. Also, he did distance himself when Julie was ex'd. It would be amusing if he was later ex'd himself and watched as people distanced from him too.

Without a doubt. It was all about selling books and the LDS people he could peel away from the church without admitting it. They were a team for awhile. Think of AVOW and the other website. Those were ready markets for him. When she got ex'ed, that became too much of a risk. This is only my opinion, and it sounds harsh, but that seems to be what happened.
