I was trying to post this when the last thread closed. I'm so behind on reading the threads but I felt moved to respond. Please forgive the long post below. :)

My thoughts and prayers are with you all and all of our Verified Insiders. This case has the most Verified Insiders out of any case I have ever followed here. I want to tell each and every one of you again how much we value and appreciate you. One reason I love Websleuths is the ability to bring people together from all over the world and each member comes with their own insights, background and expertise to contribute. And we all are somewhat united in a common desire/goal/hope to find the missing or see that justice is done.

Usually we are fortunate to have 1 close friend or 1 family member of the victims or POI's of a case that becomes verified. And we often share in that person's pain and sadness. This case is unique in that it has many more victims than the typical case and the POIs also seem to have formed many more relationships than average (especially with Lori having married 5 times and moving from place to place frequently). Therefore we have so many people connected to the case from across several states and all of you have different types of relationships with the victims and/or the POIs Lori and Chad. I've never seen anything like this case. Lori and Chad have left hundreds of friends and family members in a wave of confusion, anger, pain, frustration, sadness, etc. The anguish you all must be going through as you try to make sense of what has been reported in an almost daily barrage of bombshells in the MSM since Dec 20th-- the waves of emotion seem amplified by having so many close associates of the victims and POIs in our midst. For sharing what you know, and also for sharing what you are going through, I want to thank you all.

I'm rambling a bit, but one purpose of this post is also that I think we have a very unique opportunity having so many insiders in one place. I hope Websleuths can both offer you guys a place where you can connect and mutually support one another. But also, maybe, just maybe if we put the knowledge of all our collective VI's together we can discover new info to help solve this case. I think that no matter your connection to this case, what we all want is to find JJ and Tylee. Each of you may have small pieces of info that you don't even know are significant, until you talk to another one on a different side of this situation, with a different slice of info.

Our current Verified Insiders for this case include:
@echoecho222
@Maxxer500
@RexburgSleuth
@Randocalrissian
@Jankee

(Hopefully I haven't forgotten anyone)

And many more members have joined us as locals to the case to offer their insights as well. I pray we can make something positive come out of the shocking situation that has brought you all here.

:)

MOO.

I have followed since December, but too scared to post myself. Anger, pain, confusion, and extreme sadness is exactly right. I knew Alex (and, therefore, the family) for several years, or I thought I did. The stories and evidence are overwhelming. I'm so scared for those children. I'm still hoping like crazy for the best possible outcome, but scared of the worst. I'm sorry for everyone else here (VI's) who are suffering as well.

If Chad and Lori have known each other since 2018... Is it really possible he did not know she had children from that date to November 2019, which is more than a year? Chad knew J Mow and Melanie G and they both knew she had children. No one told him? He was too infatuated with Lori to question any of this?? No way! Imo. Could he possibly be charged with aiding and abetting in the abandonment of her children... Even though the children were not biologically nor legally his own??
I don’t believe CD didn’t know she had kids. I would like to see him charged for TD and the kids MOO

That's it. You went to the obvious heavily populated ones. But I'm pretty sure there are some that are off the beaten path a bit, maybe even involving a short hike, where you don't get a lot of people.

Hah, finally found an article based on the official report. (Most of them have aged out.) It has a photo of the actual pool where Colin Scott died. Man dissolved after falling into acidic hot spring while trying to ‘hot pot’

He was not that far off the beaten path, looking for a hot pool that he could swim in--a practice called "hot potting." You're not supposed to, but people do.

Do any of us think Chad was next? To die that is
I almost said that he's probably too smart to have life insurance. I bet Alex didn't have life insurance. Loose ends.

Welcome aboard! I am so sorry you are all going through this. It’s bad enough for us as strangers to be reading but to know the family must be heartbreaking. Please consider becoming a VI, it’s up to you though.

Oh it absolutely could be (edit: removed somebody, added anybody). Dark haired tall woman. I don't see a backpack though.
(ETA: I'm not saying it has to be our author friend. Just that she's a tall dark haired woman who knows the POIs and may have paid a visit. I actually think it's someone else, no idea who.)

(ETA2: better add the link just in case Daybells' neighbor in Idaho captures last known video of JJ Vallow 1:13 in the video.)

I hope LE caught that visitor. ;) JMO

Absolutely, and people have. I was only saying that it's really crowded at Yellowstone! It would be a risky way to kill someone. MOO

It gets uncrowded very rapidly when you get away from the popular spots.

I've never been to Yellowstone (want to tho) so is there any security at the gates? I'm just thinking they'd want to make sure no guns were brought in to protect wildlife. I'm guessing there's not b/c there are so many access points?

Definitely not security looking for guns. TBH, I seriously doubt there are even rules against having guns in Yellowstone although there are probably laws against discharging guns there. Even if security was searching for guns at the entrance (way beyond practical without incurring an immense amount of cost) then it would be trivial to get a gun into the park since it has a few hundred miles of borders, most of which are in the middle of the woods and no real indication of where the boundary is in some instances.

I was there last year /Oct 19th- there really weren’t many people around- I’m guessing early September might be low with people, too- you know returning or already back to school and the colder weather.

Now I'm really curious about how many "hidden" or hard to find hot springs there are in Yellowstone that would be accessible by hikers and that are not necessarily designated as tourist spots.

My guess would be hundreds, if not thousands.

They aren't all hot enough to kill, or acidic enough to dissolve remains, though.

Social Media? Or were all Tylee's photos and such taken and posted prior to 2018?

Can you guys help me out? Sometimes I miss the obvious.

I'm having trouble understanding how BB/MB divorce documents filed by BB in July (w/uncontested divorce being finalized in Oct) could possibly contain allegations that Melani knows where the children are, when (as far as I know) the children were not yet missing.
They are not divorce documents, they are custody documents (per the video).

If nothing else, maybe a searching Websleuther will stumble upon Forrest Fenn's gold stash?

Official answer: https://www.yellowstonepark.com/park/guns-in-yellowstone

Short version: you can carry it but not fire it.

That’s where I visited- no railings, just the wooden walkway. It is wide, but if you’re near the edge & lose footing- you’re boiled. Scary!

I just had a totally out there Twilight Zone thought. Lori kept *with her* paperwork she could have used for replacement children. You have permission to write my thought off as insanity. Jmo

I think the devices and debit card were to be able to use to keep as if the kids themselves were using them but LVD was the one pretending to be them. The birth certificates really throw me what would be the reasoning to carry those around? I’ve been thinking endlessly on that and can’t come up with anything. You need them to enroll in school, to get an ID, possibly to fly if you don’t have ID for a child....
