The question I ask is: why is there such an increase of these kinds of cases? Is there another agenda at hand? Political? Will this be what they will use to try to make people think getting "chipped" is a good idea, so that we dont lose track of people, IMO all of these cases are related - by pure evil.
I think there's just more media access these days. This horrible stuff has been happening for a very long time, we (public) just hear about it more. Imo

I don't know about that, but your suggestion triggered a new question for me. Do we have any indications Chad's kids met Lori before Lori and Chad got married?

Also, I've been racking my brain about that doorbell video of an unidentified woman visiting Lori on Oct 29 and who it could be... I can't name who I'm thinking of (due to TOS) so I'll simply post the MSM photos side-by-side for comparison:

Hair length and color and the style of her winter coat seem like "matches" to me. I'm unsure on body type/height. This could be very strong evidence that only 10 days after Tammy's death Chad had moved out of his Salem home already and was living with Lori before they went to Kauai and got married. Our VI's here already told us Chad moved out the day after the Rexburg Memorial. But if that is who I think it is walking up to the door then it's important evidence. Chad can't claim he happened to meet Lori while he was in Hawaii grieving Tammy or editing a book. I strongly believe he went to live with Lori the day after Tammy's memorial and his kids very well could have known where he was living. The day before this doorbell video we have CCTV that captured the 2 men (believed to be Chad and Alex) moving bikes.

MOO.
Were you the one that figured out the doorbell girl had to be quite tall? Like six feetish? I was sick for the second half of thread #20 so I am a little confused. MOO

I'm pretty sure there is no connection to this case, if I am wrong correct me.

I think it was referenced because both Lori's brother (Alex), and the person in the airsoft incident have the same last name. MOO

I think you are probably correct. MOO
right? combined with sporadic LoveBombing when she would take Tylee on those mom/daughter getaways for some *exclusive bonding* errrrh
i think Lori made a point to keep her friends close and SOMETIMES her enemies closer

Again, it is a pattern of behavior. If a parent suffers from a mental illness or disorder, in the absence of professional treatment, their minor children will be unwilling victims. MOO

@LDS social scientist
In regards to what @Campizi67 said in the very well organized post about the beliefs and the operating concepts behind Lori/Chad and such group - I found that post to be VERY accurate, and reflected a lot of my own thoughts as I have heard from various people inside those groups lately.

I especially found it valuable that this overview explained who some of these people are because the non-LDS folks would have a tough time understanding a whole cast of scriptural characters and what they mean to LDS people if they have never read the Book of Mormon. (I don't expect anyone to read that for the sake of this story!)

Regarding the "going dark" or "zombie" references - I had the exact same thought long ago towards the beginning when we first began seeing references to their beliefs in the concepts of "going dark" or "dark spirits" or even the spurious "zombies" reference. It's a dehumanizing tactic that makes it a lot easier to take a life. This is a tactic that almost all serial killers use in various forms. The dehumanization of victims makes the killing so much easier and empowers the killer to take that life because in their mind they have already reduced the victim(s) to sub-human and therefore not worthy of any real remorse.

This is part of why I really do think the kids are gone. I will be DELIGHTED to be wrong if that is the case, but they stood in the way of this "all important mission", and just like Charles, why would there be any hesitation to find a way to dehumanize and be rid of any baggage so they can focus on this glorious mission of theirs?

**PTZ refers to a forum/website name "Pathway To Zion" run by author HS primarily. I've seen leaking from this already that has really opened my eyes to some things, but even more so on a level from inside membership of the LDS church. PTZ members seem to be a lot more homogenous regarding these belief systems whereas AVOW is very diverse with the surface preppers and then the sub-group operating from inside. They are fracturing big time.

*** I also do know that the leaked information I have seen is not allowed on websleuths. I'm not posting it here, and not going to discuss it until or unless it's in MSM or LE reports (doubtful).
Send it to Nate or Justin! Maybe that will get it in MSM.

Here is the initial motion filed by Lori Vallow’s defense. Craig De Costa claims $5M bond is excessive and cited 8th Amendment. Goes onto say bail should have been $10K “cash only.” Hearing is set for 2PM HST tomorrow. #fox10phoenix

Does anyone else find it a tad unprofessional that Lori's lawyer uses her first name throughout the bail reduction request? I mean I have been using Lori in the timeline because she has had so many last names it's impossible to keep everything straight otherwise...but a court document for a serious legal matter seems like it should be more formal. Is it really so hard for Lori to tell her lawyer her preferred/current surname and title (Ms/Mrs)? Or is there some hidden strategy in this? Do they actually plan to contest her identity? :rolleyes:o_O

MOO.
Hmmm... could it only be because he doesn’t want to acknowledge her last name? Keep ‘em guessing as long as he can? Or heck, maybe when she got married she changed her last name to Moroni and he thinks it might hurt her case if we all knew that?

But, If they aren’t legally married he can not be protected under spousal privilege?

No. I think that may have been @RexburgSleuth ?

As I suspected because it is usually the case, law enforcement has more info than they are telling the public. There is a reason her bail is so high.

Based on the amount of information publicly available, at this time, I would agree.

If by "doing wonders" you mean picking up a ton of recent 1 star reviews from people who haven't read a word in the book, you're right.

I wish there was a text font for sarcasm. To clarify that is exactly what I meant. lol:)

LOL. It's probable that he's sold a book or even ten that he otherwise wouldn't, which given the nothing-to-be-excited-about sales rankings that the books have it could have appeared to have made a big difference if someone knew what the numbers were to compare (say from 400,000 ranking to 200,000 looks impressive, but probably means he sold two books this month instead of one). So I wasn't positive what you meant, but suspected. :)

I think she looks to be close in height to Lori when she is stepping through the door:

BBM. Well we do know she has a Hawaii drivers license in the name of Lori Ryan. The arrest warrant paperwork only listed her as Lori Vallow and/or Lori Daybell. So is her attorney going to pull out the Ryan ID at the last minute and claim she's not the same Lori? It sounds like a ridiculous argument to make, but this legal team is arguing a $5 Million bail should be reduced to $10,000 which seems like a ridiculous request as well. So I'm not putting anything past them... I hope the prosecutor is prepared to present evidence of all her aliases, including the Lolo Ryan one. MOO.

@LuC

Short answer to your question is that you are looking at outdated info. The neighbor identified Lori's niece as her "sister" in a video interview. The affidavit that was released after Lori was arrested confirmed it was Lori's niece living next door to her, not her sister.

Thanks for the analytics but even based on your figures, CD could be down significantly, regarding their documented activities + legal costs, related to current legal action. MOO
He could be.. but there's no proof at all that he is, and I myself doubt it very much. But I don't think that either way it's going to be a big factor in what transpires from this point forward (though it could affect whether Lori uses a private or public defender).

I think Chad will also need funds to defend himself, as I think some (relatively minor at this time) charges will soon be filed against him (anything related to TD though I think will come later, after the autopsy results)

I think the 4 conspirator's plan was to kill off their spouses in order to obtain life insurance policy proceeds and inherited assets in order to fund themselves in an end-times scenario which they believed would begin in July 2020, with economic collapse, social upheaval, and maybe even a plague (unfortunately and by coincidence only, that last one may come to fruition pretty soon via the coronavirus pandemic)

I don't think Lori and Chad were thinking they necessarily needed to move to some Rocky Mountain or Missouri or Idaho or Utah sanctuary/gathering place by 7/22/2020 , just that that was the date they believed some of the Armageddon stuff would begin in the US. As such, they probably planned to live in HI until the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 really hit the fan (maybe a year or two or three). Under that scenario, some money would be needed to live in HI, but the rest would be saved and used in preparation for, and during, their future life in an "area of refuge". So I doubt they were just blowing through money.

And if anything, they are very underfunded at the moment, as contrary to their plan, both CV and BB changed their policies. Lori and MB were too late! Chad is the only one who didn't strike out. So they ended up with only 430k out of a possible 2.43m, and now they're going to have to spend a lot of the 430k on attorney's fees. That's a shame..

There is one other potential source of funds, though, which might be available to Lori, and that is if somehow AC scrambled together a policy (naming Lori as beneficiary) in the 6 months leading up to his death. I doubt an insurance company would have paid out yet on that one though (if it existed), because things were starting to show up in the news. His death was suspicious (and an autopsy was being sought - vs. after Tammy's death where everyone said: "nothing to see here, let's head to Utah for the internment.").

Yeah, it's pretty standard. It's within three days, so... Yep, it checks out!
Would her attorneys need to provide new arguments? It seems like a waste of everyone's time otherwise. Given Hawaii's isolation I don't think she could possibly be considered a flight risk. Fit her with an ankle bracelet. Personally I don't want her out, just trying to understand why this hearing has any point.

  • #135
"She isn’t a flight risk and had offered to turn herself in to authorities before her arrest on Thursday, the motion said."

She'd offered to turn herself in prior to her arrest. Seriously? Color me skeptical.

Her lawyer that argued in court represented to the judge in court that his partner was in regular contact with the police and prosecutors office informing them of her travel plans and readiness to turn herself in. I doubt he was lying. She is not worth it to him.

27 Nov 2019 – Neighbors watch as the FBI raided 3 units: Lori's townhouse, as well as her sister’s home next door and her brother AC's townhouse in the same complex. LE broke the front door of AC’s townhome down to get inside. (Fox 13 Salt Lake City, local News 8)

Hopefully am in the discussion thread. I am seeking to corroborate this information. I've been provided with a source which partially corroborates it (2 out of 3 which ain't bad but I'd like all 3 corroborated if possible.)

One day before Thanksgiving, neighbors said police and the FBI raided Lori's townhouse, as well as her brother's townhouse in the same complex.
Source

If anyone can provide a source or citation about the reference to the sister and third home.

Also, if anyone knows or not whether the brother mentioned there is Alex or Adam.

The neighbor identified Lori's niece as her sister (we don't know why): Mom of missing Rexburg children fled before FBI raid, neighbor says - Local News 8

We could not verify it was in fact the niece (not the sister) until the affidavit came out recently: READ: The documents charging Lori Vallow Daybell | East Idaho News

ETA: The brother is Alex. The charging docs (2nd link above) should answer most of your questions.

You guys, just a thought that popped into my head and it’s purely from my mind, so def IMO. I think this massive secret that is going to be revealed from LV & CD, is grandpa Woodcock touched /sexually abused JJ. So of course they are hiding him and Tylee from the Woodcocks. These “grandparents from hell” as Mr. P calls them, will never see them again and LV & CD are hero’s protecting their children. Remember Casey Anthony, she was (in a way) saved by accusations of abuse. MOO. It’s just something that could be coming down the road. If you disagree please feel free to giggle, it’s just a thought or actually a panic that shot through my brain. REMEMBER MOO.

Scary enough you may be right. I can see how they could try to pin this all on the Woodcocks.

I can see them spinning some wild yarn.

If I recall correctly, Didn't Alex tell them that the kids were with the Grandparents?

I see them spinning something like this:

LVD & CD could blame this on the Woodcocks trying to extort them for money, and threatened the kids if they said anything. Claiming the Woodcocks have the kids, and they have no idea where they are. (for example, totally made up)

The reason that they are keeping quiet is they want to make a really believable story, and they know if they say anything right now, they may screw themselves over.

Remember Chad is an Author, and he already has experience writing fiction, and coming up with off the wall theories. MOO
