Sunset Boulevard is a *spectacular* comp for this sadness. Dorian Gray maybe not *quite* so much (also, there it was actually his portrait in the attic that was going visually downhill) … but the film that the saga at hand reminds me of more than anything else is actually the wonderful 1949 Alec Guinness movie Kind Hearts and Coronets from the Ealing Studios … later also made into the entertaining play A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. But the chameleon-like Guinness of 1949 is a joy to behold. Well worth a watch for anyone who needs a break from 21st c. reality …

Another movie this reminds me of is the classic "Arsenic and Old Lace" 1944 with Cary Grant. Somehow seems to be very fitting for these two, since bodies have been dropping everywhere. MOO

Yep, so no info if there was even a policy due to the suspicious nature of his death.

We have not heard much information on Alex' death other than 911 call. I don't think police has even said if they believe his death to be suspicious or not.

Justin Lum said he’ll have another airing of today’s case (I’m assuming the news conf similar to the one just posted a few minutes ago by AZ Family) at 9pm MST. A little over two hours from now. It’s almost 7pm there now.

I just got off the phone with a woman named Sharon. She stopped by the Shared Blessings Thrift Shop on Kauai around 2:10 p.m. today and Chad Daybell was there. She casually followed him into the parking lot and began a friendly 2-3 minute conversation. Chad told her he was dropping off donations because he's moving back to Idaho "soon" to support Lori. Sharon said, "Couldn't Lori get out of jail if she just said where the kids are?" He responded, "It isn't that easy." Chad told Sharon he wasn't in court yesterday because of the media "circus" and said the story isn't being reported properly. He specifically said that East Idaho News was wrong. Sharon asked if he was still LDS and he said that he was. The conversation was polite and he got into his car. Sharon did not have her phone on her but did snap a photo of Chad's Jeep once she got to her car. I've confirmed with journalists on the island that this is indeed the vehicle Chad has been driving. Chad - if you see this and we are indeed getting our stories wrong, please call me. Email me. Message me. I will talk to you and listen to you. Help me clear up any rumors. Let me hear your side and tell the world your thoughts. Because this story isn't going away - and neither are we.

I think it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better. I hope the whole lot of them get locked up for wasting police time...until they decide to talk. They’re the creators of this very circus. I can’t help but wonder if they’ll present the children...just before they’re going to be sentenced on murder charges. Like one of the old columbo style dramas. MOO....even if they do I’d still like to see them all locked up for a very long time. They’re making a mockery of the judicial system. It seems the world cares more about the children’s welfare than this crazy family. MOO

I don't think you need a physical address for a P.O. Box. Not having a physical address is the reason many need a P.O. box. A lot of homeless get their Government benefits via P.O. Boxes. Full-time RV'ers are another group.

There was a change instituted by Homeland Security a few years ago. You do need a physical address to open a post office box, although not necessarily in the town you're opening the post office box in. Homeless people and those on the move are allowed to use GENERAL DELIVERY as their address, or HOMELESS in order to get their mail, but they have to ask for it at the counter. That's the way I run my post office.

I think it's very strange, because in my experience, at least, it's known ahead of time whether or not one must be present, or if representation is sufficient. I'd expect BB to be wary about his safety, having to be in the same location, especially if they thought MBP might bring the rest of the crazy with her.

Even if the rules say otherwise I don't see a judge ordering BB to physically appear after he is shot at. There are always exceptions to rules.

I got divorced in Arizona and never once had to appear. But there were no custody issues and that may make a difference.

i dunno... i don't think july 2020 was the end...it was only the beginning of the end...and they were in the lead to lead the 144,000....so I don't think they ever thought July 2020 was the end for THEM.

I was very curious about this too..... How seriously do they believe July 2020 is the "end time", I cannot tell if they were completely confident in that, or it was just used as part of their scam so to speak?

And if they truly believe this, would they not think that all of these legal problems, and being jailed is just some form of the devil or whoever trying to stop their "mission"... Do they think armageddon will rain down and burst the bars on Lori's jail cell so that she only has to survive prison for a few more months??? Maybe that's why she wanted to be sent back to Idaho (the promised land) before it's to late?

I just can't tell how much they genuinely believed this stuff.... Either way, I personally cannot wait till that day in July comes and nothing happens! That's what's foiled many a doomsdayer in the past!

you know... I don't mean this in an snide or disparaging way... but Mormon history is a history of people being persecuted as they kept moving west. I bet he is trying to "channel "Joseph Smith" in his mind...

The part that puzzles me is the judge ordering a delay because BB wasn't present. I hope BB's lawyer attempts to arrange a video appearance, and if that's denied, makes it very clear that the court is on the hook for ensuring BB's safety.
