Springville isn't that big. I wonder how many awkward encounters there have been?
So sad!! Such nice families involved, not to mention lots of extended family members and friends. I went and saw my mom who lives there the other day, and went to the grocery store, and saw a high school friend. So of course we talked about it, and it's just a horrible thing all around. It gives me a lot of understanding of other murder cases, and how they effect families, towns, etc., and I really never understood that before. MOO.

How sure are we that Alex was at the storage unit on October 2? I’ve watched the footage again and it’s really not clear who was there on what date. They show random footage - first Alex’s truck, but then “the man” carries something to Lori’s car, not Alex’s, all while saying “on October 2nd and 3rd”.

We need the raw footage with the date stamps, and then compare body shapes of the men who appear..

I don't believe we can be certain of Alex's location on Oct 2nd at all from what has been released. I hope that LE knows more and can say for certain. MOO.

This is sooooooooooo what I am hoping to glean. I really feel that when they first met has a lot to with this. Particularly premeditation, the need for children in the new human world, and the determination of how to determine how/when children can be determined to be on "the wrong side of said future>
Everything I have read dates December 2018 as the first Podcast with Chad as guest on with regular cast. It was 2 parts. That being said, there may be personal a data trail that will show earlier personal contact. Also, I miss things others don’t...

The thing is, San Tan Valley used to be very sparse and remotedesert. Most of the development occurred in the 2000s. The Cox's also used to live in Texas.
Certainly...Lori marriages to JR and CV were from Texas

This is speculation again but I wonder if that front room with the mirrors on the wall was a place of prayer and meditation for Lori. The infinity mirrors (reflecting mirrors) seem to be a part of LDS culture (to our LDS members if I am butchering this explanation my apologies and could someone please clarify) and she had yoga mats in her closet (they can be seen on the ground when the officer is clearing rooms. There may have been some spiritual significance to killing him in there. This is just a half-baked theory though. MOO

The infinity mirrors from what I was told are symbolic of eternal marriage. If I recall, these mirrors are only in the rooms set aside for sealing. Other LDS people may know more about than I do though.

Not sure how easy it would be too sneak in there and attempt to have your won unauthorized version of a sealing. Which is what has been speculated that CD and LVD may have done.

Something that Lori's son said kind of resonated with me. He said the statement at the end of the Dr Phil episode, I don't remember the words he said, but the idea stuck with me.

That his mom was so caught up in the end times, and seemed to really be convinced that the world was going to end in July 2020. She seemed that any life goals were irrelevant, as well as any choices that we make between now and then. That was my take on it anyways. JMO

If that is the case, she may absolved herself of any choices that she is making. She may have convinced herself that her actions have no consequences. A scary thought really.

However, if she truly thinks she is a "god", right/wrong no longer apply, nor does consequences, morality, ethics, culture, and so forth. Technically it sounds dangerously close to what an absolute approach to Atheism would be. JMO

I'll refrain from playing an armchair psychologist, since that seems to be not appreciated (in this forum). Sometimes my passion gets the best of me.

I will make one observation that is relevant.

I remember listening to an interview that Richard Kuklinski (The Iceman) did, and he talked about several of the killings he had committed, but there was zero remorse. It was like someone reading you a shopping list, it was terrifying. JMO

From what Lori's son is saying, it seems as if she has no remorse over her actions at this point, I'll let everyone draw their own conclusions from there. MOO

They were definitely "pen-pal'ing" it up at some point... Wasn't there previous discussion on a prior thread about Lori sending "dancing videos" via email that Charles or Kay found/saw?

see what you are saying. I just think Chad's choice for moving (selfish over Tammy's wishes since all family in Utah) was before he ever knew Lori, but Lori's choice was having had real communication with Chad (as said before...penpals if nothing else) imo moo and whatever else works

RSBM. Welcome back Portiz! :) But I don't think you understand the rules here yet. We can ONLY sleuth people when they are named as Persons of Interest (POI) or Suspects by Law Enforcement. Or if they are missing or were murdered we can sleuth those victims. We are NOT allowed to sleuth family members of the POI/family of the victims. Please go back and delete your post if you still have time to. You can edit it for 1 hour.
thanks for this... I will also go back and retract my most recent post!!!!n thanks gardner....

Just my opinion but I suspect Chad had Lori in his Rexburg home being friends with Tammy and children from at least early 2019.

RIGHT??? When were those videos???

IIRC, they were pre- CV's death, as I thought it was part of CV's telling Kay that Lori was cheating? I wish I knew where to go back and look for where I saw it

You know, I really think they thought none of this would ever come out and this would never be a story anyone would know. MOO. It gives me hope for what LE found out electronically.
i soooo agree. I really think their co-dependence just kept affirming they were doing the right things for religious and end-game purposes.

Ashes to ashes: More people choosing cremation

"According to a statement provided to the Deseret News, the [LDS] church "does not encourage cremation but recognizes the practice is required by law in some countries. This, along with other burial decisions, is left to the family of the deceased." [BYU Professor Roger] Keller notes the practicality of the statement. "You know in Japan you're going be cremated no matter what you are," he said in an interview, "and the (LDS) church accepts that."

Yet cremation is somewhat "frowned upon" among Utah's LDS faithful and remains a rare choice here, he said, recalling one cremation in the past five years , when he was an LDS bishop. "They're dressed in their temple robes in the casket and you know there's a tie to the doctrine in the resurrection — in the resurrection, you will rise with family," Keller said. "But everyone knows darn well if you're buried at sea or the fish eat you or you're cremated, God can put you back together."

Still, the taboo remains for some, [Bountiful LDS resident] West says. "I think a lot of people looked down on us for having her cremated," West said. One man recently told him: "God's going to have a hard time finding all her pieces to put her back together." And West's grandfather was none too thrilled with his daughter's choice."I think it kind of offended him by (her) not wanting to be buried," West said. "He was old-school Catholic. ... I just don't think he was used to it."

So, I don't think it's anybody's imagination, as the above was written in 2008. I'm mid-forties, and with a history of a lot of Mike Pence-esque fundagelicals in the family, I can guarantee that I've older family members who refuse to have their organs donated and have cringed at the grandparents' decision to be cremated, because they have the same worldview as the "pieces put together" man upthread - God needs an intact body to resurrect. I've never had to confront the "autopsy" decision, but I can't imagine them liking it much more than the "keep all my organs inside my body" decision.[/QUOTE]

Well, we can be glad that TD was buried, in this case, and not cremated.

Her autopsy may be what breaks this case wide open. Crossing my fingers. MOO

Yes, I think Tammy's family is mostly in Utah. I believe the last we heard from our VI from Tammy's side of the family Chad's kids had cut off contact with Tammy's relatives and were blocking them on social media, calling them two-faced, betrayers, etc. Just a minute, I'll look for the post.

Read here: ID - ID - Joshua Vallow, 7, & Tylee Ryan, 17, Rexburg, Sept 2019 #2

That was posted Dec 27, only a week after the kids being missing was made public. But I believe the Douglas family is cooperating with the investigation while Chad's kids have invoked their right to remain silent at the advice of Chad's lawyer. Also our VI had his family home searched after someone made a (false) claim they were hiding JJ and Tylee. So he's laying low and trying not to stir things up by posting here too much. He wrote about that here: ID - ID - Joshua Vallow, 7, & Tylee Ryan, 17, Rexburg, Sept 2019 *mom, stepfather found* #15

:(
if you can...send him blessings.

'Dateline NBC' correspondent Keith Morrison discusses the case of missing Rexburg kids

"Morrison said one story that comes to mind that had to be left out of the Dateline special is a story about Lori. He said it was discovered she would record videos of herself dancing and send those to Chad Daybell - even while she was still married to Charles Vallow.

It's a story that can't be explained in under a minute or "in an elevator ride." But Morrison did get some impressions from the case."

Thanks, I was wondering if I had missed something else. I think LE has a lot more footage, and the outdoor footage looks especially clear, I think they would know for sure who was there and when.

Perhaps Chad may have had lady friends before Lori. MOO
Certainly possible. If so, we haven't heard of any. The point I was trying to make earlier is simply that Rexburg is not the place I think most LDS people would choose to move to from Utah if they wanted to have/cover up affairs. Rexburg in LDS sensibilities is "more Utah than Utah" (apologies to the Rexbergers here).

you know I had thought of that too, but i have come to conclusion that this was the "ultimate lust out mid-life thingy".... Wouldn't it be kind of cool if we had some women "come out" to say differently. Might shock us all!!
ok
Thank you! I think I need to make a new habit to keep checking the timeline, as details get fuzzy just reading comments for hours at a time. Also, I am lacking sleep, so I'm refraining from commenting tonight.
ok...so now we are back to 2017. Can anyone recall when the dancing text messages to Chad occurred? I didn't think anything much about them....but they had to be "pen pals" for a while before that happened.

I just saw this article in Inside Edition.. I assume this is msm just like Daily Mail, correct.. Anyway finally a little discussion of Lori's earlier life!
Exclusive: Lori Vallow Daybell Went from 'Devout' Cheerleader to 'a Mystery,' High School Friend Says

Wow, this is interesting. Especially what she was saying about Husband #1 not being LDS. Depending on her family dynamics, that could shed light on a lot of what is going on.

There are some LDS families, that will basically ostracize you and cut all ties if you marry outside of the faith. Not very Christ like, but it still happens. JMO

So far, we don't know what the family dynamics were though. We also don't know what her relationship was with Husband #1.

Pure speculation. If she was in love with Husband #1 but left him for her family, that may explain her pattern with husbands 2-5. MOO
