Facebook page 'Release Lori Vallow' gains almost 2K followers in 10 days

"Release Lori Vallow" does not have a specific mission listed on its page. The admin(s) share a compilation of Vallow memes, posts about a lack of evidence in the case, and much more.

I think Lori is getting her own cult like following.

This reminds me of the "fans" that Ted Bundy had, and that was back in the 70's. I'd imagine if Bundy's case was today, it would be very similar.

I wonder how many "fans" Lori had, if she was not attractive, and downright ugly (to most people). I do feel that there is a correlation between attractive people, and public opinions (to a degree). I wonder if anyone has done any research on this.

So, a lot like CNN. :D JMO

Not really. I posted a link yesterday, I think, from a site I like that has some fact checking, but mostly gives an idea of the bias of many news or news-like organizations, especially those with some web presence. I've found them to be reasonably accurate, even when I don't like what they have to say at times. But I recognize that as my own biases and their influence. Here's the link for the page regarding CNN.

CNN - Media Bias/Fact Check

Note that it ranks them on a couple things. One if CNN's bias and it shows them being biased politically to the left (not extreme, but not just a slight lean either). However, it gives them a solid (although not great) rating for reporting facts. If you look at the details you'll see that they tend to take left positions on editorial positions and sometimes word things in a way that shows left bias. They've also failed more fact checks than you'd like to see which is the reason for the not great, but now awful, rating in the factual area.

Now let's look at the Daily Mail.

Daily Mail - Media Bias/Fact Check

They's a touch further from the unbiased-middle point, just on the right side. So not an unreasonable comparison thus far. However, on the conforming to the facts measurement, they're a couple notches worse with a "low" ranking because they fail a lot more fact checks and tend to do so much more dramatically (a "mostly true" ranking might count as a fact check fail, because it was a bit misleading, but presumably they have more of the "pants on fire" variety than CNN).

So no, I'd say significantly worse than CNN.

How was Tammy in charge? Chad got to do what he wanted. Tammy didn't want to move to Rexburg, but Chad decided he had a vision or a promoting or whatever you call it, and there was Tammy and family, moving to Rexburg. He obviously got what he wanted by claiming he talked to dead grandma' spirit, had a prompting, had a vision, etc.
It's way back in the thread but there's a reference to something Chad wrote about being visited by the spirit of Tammy's deceased grandmother who told him that Tammy should stop playing her Frontierville game and work on genealogy so that Chad could concentrate on writing.

Oh...one of the other things that was startling to me was that Nate said he had talked to IP's mother.... and she felt nothing was going on with her son at all....that she "sees them all the time"... Again, how can parents be so nonchalant, when their son divorced the woman of their grandchildren just months before he married MBp??? These are extremely weird family response to quick remarriages... This cannot be common in the Mormon church, is it?????
No, Chad would not have to physically be in the house to send that email. Nearly all email is web-based and he could easily access the made up account from his own home. Of course, that leaves a data trail, but they didn't seem to be concerned about that, considering they've done it everywhere they went.

Remember, the PD is playing pretty dumb with this, IMO. In any email sent, there's something called headers, which give you a trove of information about its origin. If you're very savvy, you can spoof those headers and make it appear as something it isn't, but, sophisticated forensic software can easily detect those, as well as even gmail's filters. Included in headers would be an IP address, the browser type/email program used to send the message, timestamps and information about how the message was routed. This is all to say that it isn't too tough to eliminate potential senders of the message, given they can, and probably have, requested internet and phone information via warrant for Chad, Lori and Charles. In cases like this, it is more eliminating who it was NOT to get to who it actually was.

But also, the PD isn't going to come out and say "we know because of XYZ" - this is an ongoing investigation, afterall.

IMO, the email was probably written by Chad, just at a glance, because of the way it flows. He's a writer and that is what he does. Charles' email to Adam was very choppy to me, and didn't read at all like the email to Chad.

Wild Speculation Only.

Could this baggie of cash be for paying off someone for something not legal, or at the very least, shady?

A baggie full of cash makes more sense if you are exchanging it for illegal purposes.

MOO

Could be... but what type of illegal activity are you thinking? (My mind is pretty wild and nothing would surprise me with this case, but I can't imagine this aspect, jmo)

How did this subject of SPLC get so off into the fray? Geezus people - let's find these kids and stop debating on Southern Proverty Law Center. JMO
A poster brought it up as a source to claim (incorrectly IMO) that AVOW, of which CD is a known member, was a terrorist organisation. So we have been discounting that, which is important to do before that grows legs.
MOO.

I think CD has been cracking under the pressure. So far I have seen him in one video, get so disoriented he couldn't figure out how to leave the Courthouse. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

Then I read a news report, where he got so nervous, he lost his car in the parking lot.

My point, is that I believe that CD still has a conscious. I am not so sure about Lori though.

I would have had a complete mental breakdown myself, if I went through what Chad went through. Of course, I've been diagnosed with PTSD, Anxiety/panic attacks, and so forth.

Does anyone know if Chad deals with any mental disorders that we know of?

I am interested to see how this effects Chad, I believe he may crack this case open yet. With any luck his guilty conscious will just keep gnawing at him until he confesses.

Chad, should read "The Tell-Tale Heart" it is a cautionary tale that applies to him.

Earlier in the same message I said things that were indicative of possible suspicion from the family. I began with: "If it was suggested even once that anyone in the family thought Chad killed his beloved Tammy...", then indicated a few other conditions that would indicate how people would have suggested threats ("out for blood"). We have seen ad hominem attacks (put them in jail, why aren't they in jail, he is a murderer, he killed his wife, etc.) all over social media, some threats, and now vandalism to personal property of a POI.

I think we've speculated the idea that the children were hidden because of threat to Lori that she would lose them in a custody battle.

Anyway, this is all why I said, "If the threats were real" I don't know whether there were threats, but I can imagine if a man gets into dispute about moving a daughter/sister/aunt and her children away from her family home (no matter her age) people in the family could be bitter about it. Then when, five years later, said daughter/sister/aunt dies suddenly and unexpectedly after a recent visit wherein she was fine and healthy, do you not assume there are questions if not accusations and threats? Maybe I'm speculating, but I think there's evidence when Chad says he's never going to visit the Douglas family in Utah, there is some reason behind it.
Rexsleuth, I have come to respect your views, your knowledge of the area, and your strong feelings in all of this............but I just hope you are not reaching for straws in this. I am actually not quite sure what you are expressing in this post, so I hope you can add more detail...but I worry. I worry, because I feel personally that Lori has abused child abuse accusations (as I have stated in the past...i feel this is one of the greatest violations that women can make that hurt all women).... I hope you can be more clear....for I feel you are "hearing things" that are just to go that same route that Lori took. Please tell me i am wrong.

Many years ago- during my more free and wild years, we would always tell our friends before going out that you better have enough cash for bail money if you plan to cause trouble. My girlfriends and I would remind each other not to act up because we didn't have enough cash between us to bail someone out of jail so you best behave yourself, lol... I can't see the honeymooners causing a ruckus but they may have been carrying enough- just in case, something happened. MOO

When Chad got that #430k insurance money he split it 50/50, after all, who is the mastermind and goddess of the group? Better pay your tithe up front Homer!

Well, when Lori's trial gets done it'll be more like this:

Lori's take: 90%
LDS take: 10%

Chad's Take: Wait, what? ...Where's the Money?

Thanks, I see the post now. I don't think I've ever seen a member of the media make a private facebook group for discussing a case. I think we will need some guidance from @Tricia on what we can bring here from that group. Why would he have it private? o_O That's disappointing for those of us not on facebook, a private group discussion can't be seen. MOO.

ETA: I sent a message to Tricia and the mods asking if we can discuss that group.

But it has a request for becoming part of the group. I clicked, so will see what happens. I did this with another Facebook group that has a lot of psychics on it...and was permitted access within a day or so. So far, The posters and posts are more like ours on Websleuth than normal facebook pages. People really have valid thoughts and ideas. I think Justin's is just an effort to partially screen for "way out folks"...
I think it is a way for Justin to get a reprieve from people contacting him directly, personally.

JMO. I don’t think “fearing for your life or freedom” would necessarily constitute a conscience. MOO

I understand somewhat where you are coming from as it appears from Chad's novels (or blogs) that he is relatively introspective sharing a lot of himself. Let's hope that he has a conscience as it doesn't appear that any of the players in this sad case do.

Not to insert something from left field at this point, but I still find it extremely troubling that Alex got married as well as all of the others in this troubling time period. Now, of course, he didn't have a divorce or death with his mate just prior to it - but I have this feeling that there is more to it. It's just too coincidental to all of the other quick marriages. The potential for life insurance has been mentioned and we probably can't sleuth his new mate. It is just dangling there in my over-active imagination. I would love to hear others' thoughts and perhaps I have missed one of the threads that discuss this though I think I've read everything. Thanks.

Quite right, a conscience would be the opposite , conscience that voice of moral goodness or lack thereof or rightness or personal wrongness. And, if Chad was guided by an inner voice of personal culpability and responsibility, he would tell the truth.

LDS
"They require a person always to do or say the right thing no matter the circumstances or what others may think. One of the standards in For the Strength of Youth is honesty and integrity. As Latter-day Saints and followers of Christ, you are expected to “be honest with yourself, others, and God at all times."

Where are Tylee and JJ?
