Lori Vallow's attorneys in Idaho file requests to see case documents and lower her bond amount

This is a list of what her attorneys want from prosecutors:

  • statements made by Lori Vallow to police, before and after her arrest
  • a copy of Lori Vallow's criminal record
  • all evidence against Lori Vallow, including documents, photos, and items
  • computer and cell phone data
  • results of any examinations or scientific tests conducted in the case
  • a list of all potential witnesses and their addresses, not including law enforcement
  • a summary of any expert witness reports
  • unredacted police reports including anything from Boise and Ada County
  • any handwritten police notes, including anything from Boise and Ada County
  • unredacted digital media
  • exculpatory evidence, including names of any other suspects police are looking at, contradictory witness statements, and any deals made between law enforcement and potential witnesses.
  • dispatch tapes of all calls in connection to the case
  • whether the prosecutor intends to charge Vallow with any other crimes in addition to the charges already filed
  • any surveillance, eavesdropping, or wiretap recordings
  • any other information the defense is entitled to in the case

Well, that is quite a list. Are they entitled to know if they plan to file other charges, or are they just throwing in the kitchen sink?

And what is the significance of Ada and Boise? What happened there? TIA.

Indeed I did!!o_O:D
This case is frying my brain... and keeping at this website until the wee hrs every night!
Help we need an emergency meeting of the DARG!

BTW: Don't know if anyone else has pointed this out, but the glasses Lori was wearing in court today were an interesting touch... My guess is either her Lawyer advised her to do this, to look a bit more demur and motherly (yes, lawyers do tell their clients how to dress/appear in court) OR it's straight up vanity on Lori's part b/c the glasses mask her major eye bags! JMO

Her body language was soooo self righteous and obnoxious today, I caught a few screen caps of some of her more overtly arrogant and evil glares (apologies if a ton of images have already been posted, and for the visible play button which I couldn't remove). But, just LOOK at her:

Jumping ahead to comment (still a few pages back) on the position of the nose. OMG she really can't get it any higher. She thinks she is untouchable. Super Self righteous!! SHE MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL!!:eek:

This message was posted a while back on another site and ripped to shreds by the LDS community. KSLTV is being a little disingenuous by hinting this is new information. As far as I know there have been no further comments by the AVOW weirdo. A copy of this message has been circulating for weeks. Click bait for KSLTV.
Nor has there been any follow up to ABC's report (and many repeats) about Chad's claim that the kids were safe. Chances are that he never said that.

I’m not sure if we’ve discussed this before . Was this one we weren’t allowed to link? My mind is confused. Maybe we couldn’t prove she actually spoke at the event? This podcast description states that Lori was supposed to attend an event in Boise Feb 15-16 2019. I believe the same one Chad was at. It also states she was “out on assignment” when this one was published 2-14.

11 Time to Warrior Up - Sweet Surrenders - Listen -

from the link: (I redacted the name I think we aren’t supposed to mention)

We missed Lori's grounded conviction this week as she was out on assignment,
......

The group mentions a new (Redacted) Event that Melanie and Lori will attend in Boise will be Feb. 15-16. Go to www.(redacted) to register or learn more about our 10 Speakers, Program Outline. We are even going to have a Cowboy's CHUCKWAGON DINNER to enjoy!
This is a good refresher. SO many things were going on back in February of 2019. Though we knew Lori was in HI. And then we know she was at CR's birth of baby... but really, we have all been at a loss as to all that she did for these 56 or so days. As I reread all the items on our timeline---IMO I feel she was really just always on the fly to avoid getting served with CV's divorce/need for mental testing documents. Pretty sure why that is why she was not in Boise for the conference. IMO

If she can come up with bail, she will be released immediately. There could be conditions to her bail but maybe not.
If her bail is reduced to $1 million, what are the chances that Chad will bail her out?

I don't know. I wouldn't bail her out for a buck.

I am hoping that CD will have his own legal problems soon.

Those comments from CP sound like a blackmail plot: up the reward to "millions" and LVD will produce the kids.

I am gobsmacked. Sounds like extortion. I hope the Feds are drawing up charges.

What they’re requesting makes me feel sick. I hope the prosecution don’t have to give them anything that isn’t to do with the current charges. Surely LE have the right to withhold anything to do with future charges?

I keep hanging on to the (very) small hope that the kids are alive but the fishing expedition by her lawyers makes me feel even more strongly they are not. JMO

I hope one of our VI Lawyers can help us understand what’s to be expected next. MOO

Typical fishing expedition that’s very common. I’m not sure about Idaho law but in my jurisdiction prosecutors are only required to disclose evidence related to the charges in the warrant. I seriously doubt in any jurisdiction prosecutors will be required to reveal their intent of further changes, that’s just plain laughable. It’s very likely a lot of evidence will not be furnished to her lawyers if they in any way relate to “potential” charges. The biggest piece of evidence prosecutors have, or should I say don’t have, is NO KIDS.

I think she expects him to bail her out. If he has the means and doesn't, their pact could be in trouble. IMO the two are still on the same page regarding the kids' disappearance.

The post showing this lawyers (Edwina) previous case... I would assume her lawyers are going to try for anything that violates her freedom. Do any lawyers here feel that they might have an upper hand on this???

Well, Lori should be 4-5 hours into her return flight back to Idaho. I'm guessing they're over the mainland now. :) jmo

If her bail is reduced to $1 million, what are the chances that Chad will bail her out?

Doubtful- she is in contempt of court. But IF she is somehow bailed out- I foresee travel restrictions and electronic monitoring. Plus intensive monitoring by the press and the good citizens of Rexburg.

It depends on the type of bail/bond. And then he would have to find a bail bond company to work with him. And if the amount is non refundable, would he still do it? It tickles me pink to think of Chad burning through ill gotten cash.

I'm new here and had to join because this case is doing my head in but I can't talk to anyone about it because nobody I know has heard of it.

So here's my two cents worth:

1. Obviously Tylee, at least, is dead. If she was in any kind of position to know about the case, surely she would have tried to clear her mother's name? These days, it would be pretty hard to isolate someone so much that they didn't know they were missing.

2. Everything claims that at the welfare check on JJ, Alex Cox lied and said JJ was with his grandparents. Is it possible that he believed that? Maybe he had nothing to do with JJ's death (and possibly Tylee's) and after the police came he started asking questions, making trouble, and that's why he died like two weeks later?

Just killing him because he'd "outlived his usefulness" doesn't make as much sense to me.
I can relate!! At least I have a few friends that keep asking me for updates--but most "who tried" to keep up with this case just couldn't handle it. HA HA!
Anyway, we do have a variety of opinions on how involved Chad was...but I conclude ONLY Chad had knowledge of the Idaho wilderness... Lori and Alex and the kids had only been in Idaho for a couple of days. And Alex outlived his usefulness is not as powerful as "Alex simply knew too much". His suicide/murder was the very next day after Tammy's body was exhumed. I feel pretty certain that word of that exhumation got to Chad (and Lori ) very very quickly. And plans to murder or suicide went into action immediately. I just do not believe that Alex had a soul at all...so don't feel he did himself in. JMHO.

Wouldn't it be great if those charges were brought today in court? And Chad arrested on the spot?
