I thought I remember reading that AC died just a few days or so after it was announced that they were going to Exhume TD body.
I need to go back to the timeline and news reports, but I swear I read that because I remember thinking..Yep.. he got scared and either killed himself or somebody killed him because he Knew what happened to TD, TR and JV. JMO

Tammy was exhumed early morning on the 11th Dec. I bet Chad knew straight away by text from one of the cemetery employees. They were in Hawaii so it would have been middle of the night for them but he would see it as soon as he was awake I guess. Alex died the next day on the 12th so there was plenty of time for Lori or Chad to text him about it on the 11th. Certainly a big coincidence anyway at the very least. MOO

The woman they (said they) picked up at the airport while the Nanny watched JJ was introduced as someone who does podcasts. Based on players we know, possibly Melanie P or JR. She arrived on a Thursday and JJ was unenrolled from school the following Monday, never to be seen again. I’ve thought for a while whoever the woman is she was involved in JJ’s disappearance. Either she took him someplace or something unplanned happened that weekend that made it necessary for JJ to disappear.

The fact that both Chad and Lori both independently asked Melanie P to tell cops JJ was with her seems less random if she in fact was the last one to be seen w/a still alive JJ.

I don’t know what it would mean if true but the possibility of Melanie taking JJ someplace is the only scenario that gives me any hope he may still be alive.

It was MG who does the podcasts and who they both asked to lie about having the kids, not MBP. MBP has nothing to do with the podcasts AFAIK. All three, LVD, CD and MG did podcasts in September 2019 that are no longer available to be played.

AxC sure does seem like a bad guy when you read that, but I keep coming back to the thought we are all more complicated. I'm not saying AxC didn't do some bad things and karma didn't get him but I keep thinking here on WS we are giving him too much credit. Or placing too much blame on him. I'm not finding the right words, sorry.

AxC is a part of a bigger story of that involves him but isn't ultimately much about him. Does that make sense? I should go to sleep...

He makes a good scapegoat for Chad and Lori. But I think they conspired in whatever AxC did. He did not act alone. MOO.

I agree. But my point is that if it were a simple case, wouldn't the defense already have a bunch of standard narratives ready? No need for extra time before the prelim hearing if SOP arguments and motions can apply to Lori's "not complex" case. They would want to get on with it and defend her case ASAP if it was simple and they already knew everything about it there was to know. I think the defense has never defended anyone like Lori before (I can't imagine what she is telling them ) and Idaho has never seen a case this complex before. MOO.

I am extremely late to catching up with the threads, probably never will, and haven't caught up with this one yet. So, if anyone else has said this, I apologize in advance. So, this is my opinion on why more time for the prelim. The prelim is NOT the trial. So, even though it would appear that the present charges are simple to defend, everyone suspects (including the defense) that there will be further charges that are much more serious and possibly federal. So, the more evidence the defense can be made aware of through discovery early on, the more they will know about potential further charges, witnesses, evidence etc. to prepare for and to prepare their Client for. Most often, preliminary hearings are waived and bound over to the grand jury. BUT, in cases where charges are (or can be) more serious, defense attorneys want to find out as much as they can. Having said that, in cases where investigation is on-going, defense attorneys often find the discovery highly redacted as the State has the right to do that where the investigation has to do with other charges or other suspects related to those other potential charges. Even redacted though, sometimes you can glean some info or formulate potential theories between the lines. More time, allows LE investigators to keep investigating. IMO, the closer the prelim gets, the less the discovery may be redacted and defense wants to know the most it can early on with regard to further changes which in this case and IMO will carry MUCH more prison time. Defense is preparing for much larger things. IMO.

Other observations from speeding scrolling through the threads.

The email from CV to Adam clearly shows that CV, BB, the rest of Lori's family, and Adam were all clearly aware of LV's severe mental health issues and personality disorders (I believe there are several). It also shows that CV struck out on getting help from any of the others and was desperate for help. Not placing blame on LV's family. Earlier in life they may have tried to intervene to get her help. But when the person doesn't believe there is anything wrong with themselves, It's typical with mental illness that the person who tries to intervene, becomes the target. With many mental illnesses, you reach a point where you can't take a person's refusal of help (translation: abuse of yourself) and have to walk away for the sake of your own mental, physical, or financial well-being. With some personality disorders, you just HAVE to do this. Such as NPD and sociopathy. My mind is still open as to whether she has other family members we haven't heard of involved in this criminal/sociopathic cesspool of hers; but I am also open to the possibility that her family members may have just had to distance themselves and walk away.

I spent a silly amount of time a few days ago looking for recent real estate transactions in remote areas of Northern Arizona. I'm done with that theory. LE has this group's digital records. I feel they'd know by now if there was a "camp" somewhere." And if there was, they would have liberated the kids.

So, from records/MSM/court docs, we know:

Melani missed a visitation pick-up of her kids prior to BB shooting attempt on Oct. 2. Wonder why? What other things was she doing that were occupying her time?
After the shooting she left AZ right away for Rexburg;
After the shooting, BB goes into hiding with his kids; doesn't hear from MBP;
Oct. 22: Divorce from BB final, she's a no-show at custody hearing in AZ.
On Oct. 31-Nov 1 MBP goes back to AZ to clean out home where she was living; puts kids' stuff on curb. Goes looking for her kids at places in AZ with AC. (Creepy!)
Nov. 4: Arrives in Rexburg with AC.
Nov. 12: MBP shows up with AC to BB's parents' home in Utah demanding kids. Cops called.
Nov. 14: MBP shows up again with AC at BB's parent's home, cops called. MBP eventually arrested.
Nov. 30: MBP marries IP one day after AC marries ZP.

What was she going to do with kids in Rexburg when she didn't have any of their stuff?

Sorry, if this has already been discussed, still 10 pages behind... JMO, MB could miss visitation to pick-up her kids in case she thought that BB will be dead in few days and she will get them anyway. And no-show at custody hearing could also be a sign that she planned to get the kids in few days and take them away to "safe place" just as JJ and TR were taken away (that's why no fear of trespassing, kids' stuff on the curb etc) - planned to repeat LVD actions

I had gotten home and parked in our front driveway. As I was getting stuff
out of the back seat, a guy wearing a ski mask was suddenly standing by
the back of my car with a paintball gun. He shot at me several times,
although I don't think it was loaded. I yelled for Chad and he ran off around
the back of my house.
I have no idea what his motive was, and he never spoke, even after I asked
him several times what he thought he was doing. I was about to smack him
with my freezer meals from Enrichment tonight when I decided to yell for
Chad instead.

I have to admit, I'm getting fairly demoralized about the fact that Chad hasn't been charged with anything. Don't you think if they had the tiniest bit of criminal evidence against him, they'd have brought him in by now? And then continue to build a case and add charges?

I have thought about this a lot lately. My worst case scenario is that the autopsy came back inconclusive and at this point they can't charge him with desertion since he had no legal ties to the kids. So, unless they find he participated in/has direct knowledge of kids whereabouts, or the other murders they may have a hard time charging him with something right now that sticks or maybe the charges would make it easy for him to bail out? They're waiting for a reason.

Who knows if they have digital evidence pointing to him being involved with Tammy's murder. It stinks to high heaven, and there's no way Alex just did him a favor without his knowledge. I think maybe they're allowing Chad to remain free right now because he is visible, and maybe they're seeing if the pressure of POSSIBLE incarceration causes him to cave and turn on Lori. Maybe they're getting further info by him being free right now - who knows what tactics authorities have used to watch and listen.

I don't see him unscathed. I think they know his role. But they want to do this right, and with us having super limited knowledge of the investigation, it is not surprising it seems so confusing at this point!

I've actually read about this. Enrichment used to be called homemaking night. It's a monthly group for women. They cover all sorts of homemaking topics. So that month, they studied and made freezer meals (it's like an uncooked tv dinner). Jmo

From what I gather, Enrichment is a regularly held social gathering for women in the LDS community (often specifically held through the Relief Society, a philanthropic and educational women's organization of LDS) where they may discuss and participate in a number of activities relating to spiritual development, homemaking skills, marriage and family relationships, self-reliance, service projects, physical and emotional health, personal development, cultural arts, etc.

Legal question, if she’s not very cooperative and/or is undoubtedly guilty (I.e., highly unlikely the defense lawyer will “win”), would it behoove him to encourage her to take a plea deal rather than take his chances at trial? Mr. Means states on his website that he is more apt to go for a plea deal, but will go to trial if client so desires.

IMO no plea would be offered or entertained unless it was global, IOW addressing her involvement in the murders of the kids, CV, TD, and possibly JoeR and AxC. Yeah, they might give her life instead of the DP... IF she gives the location of the kids.

That's what I would guess too, even though she was not at work that week I would think these groups have a regular evening meet schedule to accomodate women who are working. But it means that this incident happened in the dark, which I would say has a bearing on her identifying the gun and seeing where the masked-man ran to. It also makes more sense that the masked man took less of a risk being seen loitering/waiting by the road, by anyone else, which would be even stranger if it happened in broad daylight.

I also think it means the man most likely knew her schedule, and would be returning home at that time.

Interesting - I’ve been thinking about how much Kool-aid AxC had been drinking - it just doesn’t add up for me. I’m just not convinced he was a ‘believer’! Is he just doing Loris dirty work - What’s in it for him - the next life? I can’t see it.

I think it was a money thing. He got paid for the dirty work. Then, they exhumed TD. Could LV have told ZP to off him with the exhuming of TD's body? That had to of been a moment where they all were like - "Uh-Oh". Or, like many have said, did he kill himself?

I truly think that karma caught up. Had the kids not been missing, these past murders would have never been looked at again most likely. They uncovered a murder ring and I don't think LD thought that would ever happen.
