So does this mean it will be competently handled, or does it mean butt slapper has friends in high AND low places?

I just want to throw in an opinion. As and Idaho resident, I feel our AG is extremely competent and fair. I have a friend who works for him and I’ve met him. This is definitely a good thing.

Even though the Idaho AG’s Office is now taking over the murder investigation related to the death of Tammy Daybell, Fremont County Sheriff Len Humphries tells @fox13 her autopsy is still not finished.

Tammy’s gravesite now has a headstone and it’s beautiful. There is an etching of a mother duck followed by 5 little ducklings on the stone. I would attach a picture but that seems not respectful of her or her family.
I would love to know who oversaw the design and payment of her headstone—her children? Her parents? It certainly wasn’t her previous spouse.

What are the legal pros and cons for arresting or not arresting Chad. Seems as if this is a good time to throw him in the slammer.

I would really ♡ to see CD try to run. Of course, with the Coronavirus, he really can't leave the country anyway.

Just leave LV in jail.

@AZlawyer

Regarding bail reduction hearing. Does the judge peruse Means' "new facts that have come to light" in order to decide whether a bail reduction hearing should be scheduled OR is the request by Means sufficient enough to schedule the hearing and it's only at that hearing the "new facts" are presented to the judge by Means??

I apologize if this has been answered previously.

I don’t think I ever saw the first motion—did he really not say what the “new facts” were?? The second motion specified “new facts” regarding jail procedures for handling attorney-client communications, but I believe Means also complained in the second motion about not getting a hearing date for his first motion. If his first motion never explained what the “new facts” were, that might be why he didn’t get a hearing!

ETA: The fact that a hearing is scheduled doesn’t necessarily mean the judge thinks a good argument has been made for a bail reduction.

This was the motion for bond reduction filed on March 24th, stating "new facts" but not expanding on that.

I am certainly not a lawyer, and I cannot remember if I saw this mentioned here or elsewhere, but I think it might be unlikely the new judge will lower her bail. Someone mentioned, due to the timing of asking for bail to be lowered followed by disqualification of the original judge and then asking bail to be reduced yet again, could be seen in not the best light. I don’t want to say that it’s her attorney trying to “abuse” the system / court rules, but I do think that the timing of all of these can be detrimental to what she actually wants to happen. Just my own opinion though
Not a lawyer either but IMO it will matter by the weight of the argument the defense makes. If the defense can offer a good reason to lower bail (cant think of one) it will be lowered.

Would anyone want to voice an opinion on whether Lolo will be all dolled up again for her court appearence?

I'm fairly confident AG Wasden will do a good job with this case. I've watched him carefully since he took office in 2003, to see how much, if any, political or religious overlay he brings to the job (he is LDS.) For the most part, with some exceptions, IMO, he has done a good job for the state.

In this particular case, I'm not worried. IMO he will work hard to get justice.

Only if Means is carrying lipstick in his briefcase that day
