I think a couple of weeks. Ish. I fell asleep last night half way through so I'm in the same boat. I waited a couple of weeks to be able to watch the first one also.

I fell asleep, too. I'm thankful we DVR stuff. Jmo

I agree that lawyer client confidentiality is very important, but Mr. Means could have presented his arguments in 20 minutes tops, not 2 hours. The importance of the issues were lost in his presentation and it just sounded like he was airing an endless list of personal grievances.

At some point, the judge is going to tell him to condense his monologues if this continues. Jmo

I bet she is telling herself the exact same thing! She indulged his inexperience, until she didn't, and certainly gave him enough rope to hang himself. She was way beyond fair and I think that was important for her to establish for the record. I like Judge Mallard.

They sure have painted themselves into a corner with this guy.

I'll take the ways of Means for $600

Dateline Episode

There is a moment, when LV's friend April says that LV complained CV is not spiritually progressing enough, whereas she does. This was when they lived in Hawaii.
Then they left back to mainland and she found Chad ("spiritual leader"), confirmed with him that she is above them all, and things got nasty. So she basically was actively looking for Chad due to her need to raise her self value JMO

I don’t think it’s okay to discuss if anyone on here believes Colby on what he says happened to him. Sexual assault is a huge shame , guilt , a million things you feel as the victim and a giant fear is people knowing and if they believe you or not and wanting to share it at all especially for a male is a very difficult thing . I don’t think it’s okay to debate if it’s true or not true.
I agree with you. My focus is on these 2 children here and now. Giving Tylee and JJ a voice and justice. Focusing on Colby's disclosure doesn't help him find the brother and sister he has lost in this mess, nor does it help him move forward from his own experiences.

I thought I would have to wait a couple of weeks again. I only saw about half of it.

She will try to blame it all on AC.

Nobody will buy it, but I bet she tries to sell it

Then why hasn't she said anything to that effect for the bail hearings?

It is so bizarre. IMO she won't say because they are dead and she knows it. She is hiding behind her oddball religious beliefs when in all actuality she is just evil.

I sure hope they keep an eye on her for suicide. I know she’s a Narcissist selfish conceited excuse for a human. But I just remember Melinda Duckett taking that way out leaving L.E. to never to find little Trenton (remains). IOW be just like LVD & CD to have an agreed co exit strategy.

It was kinda obvious when the judge told Means, over an hour into his diatribe, that they only had two and a half hours scheduled for the hearing, lol.

I think after more information came forward, the Chandler Police Dept. has done a very good job. This blood cleaned up by an officer business, I'm not sure of. Could be? They started their investigation factually on August 1, 2019, so within 3 weeks. Charles was killed 7/11/19, I believe. They haven't let up. Remember some of us could wrap our heads around this case, with facts until day 2 almost and probably really understood it for a couple of weeks at least, with all the people involved, to be honest. jmo
The question I continue to have, is why wasn’t a background check for priors done on Alex at the time of the shooting? It should have revealed that Alex had a violent assault conviction against Lori’s former husband. Had this been put together even in a few weeks after the shooting the children might have been taken to safety. Did LE discover this and just moved too slow for follow up?

Hindsight is 20/20, as the detectives now say say his head wound didn’t appear to align with the story Alex told and Charles’ professional ability to swing a bat. AZ also now publicly point out that the story of Lori’s whereabouts during the shooting differ from Alex’s statement.

Had AZ LE and the Rexburg Coroner done things differently this case would be far different. Lori and Chad lucked out unbelievably. I mean that literally. That two separate agencies in two separate states made such consequentially bad decisions is so remarkable that it will be studied for years.

She’s only been charged with defying a court order. To admit in a bail hearing no less, that you know your children are dead would not be something any lawyer would advise.

If she admitted that, even if she claimed it was all AC ,that would Certainly be used against her.

I should mention that I do believe that additional charges will be coming by the time this case actually goes to trial

I think they will save that little gem for later on after formal murder charges have been filed

Melanie said something odd about Ian and the wire. She said she understood why he did it because he was doing what he had been "trained" to do. Trained by who - the dark side/non144,000?

Meaning he was trained not to defy the law like most Americans; unlike the way she was raised. IMOO.

Would/ could/ can the state charge her with the murder of the children if their bodies are never found and they think there is enough evidence to prove Lori is responsible for their disappearance? Her defying the court order to produce the children is evidence itself. JMO. I could be wrong.
IMO, for a murder charge there must be evidence of murder, not just disappearance.

I know that there are successful 'no body' murder trials. And it is sometimes easier with children, because it's obvious a young boy like Joshua didn't run away and hide himself somewhere. It's a little harder with teens, because the defense can try and say she ran off voluntarily, or a predator got her.

But with this case, and all of the dead bodies piled up already, there shouldn't be a problem convincing a jury what happened.

I hope they get a jury that can follow a complex set of facts though.

I have the feeling the defense will request a change of venue- out of Rexburg and the county Rexburg is in- for the trial(s).

BBM. But that's the problem, we don't know what happened to the kids. Several scenarios are possible with multiple combinations of perpetrators. There's no known crime scene or manner of death.
