one of the last statements....She could be out in another week or so...that is because bail could be reduced or/and because the coronavirus rules at the jail are keeping he and her lawyers apart as they have to follow special rules.

Well she is not the only inmate trying to see her lawyer, but she thinks she is special. If bail is reduced, she will run. It is already being planned imo.

Lori is being looked into at least 3 if not 4 deaths. Would her current lawyer beable to continue on the case if she is charged with murder?

What a mess.

I'm not sure if he is qualified to handle a murder or 3 or more murder charges. But Jose Baez wasn't either with Casey Anthony. He barely made the grade. Big boys & women were brought in. I expect LVD will have a few glory grabbers too.

Amazing how this cold hearted woman could be released. Any normal sane woman would let LE know where the kids are, if they were alive.

Obviously, they are not. I so hope that they can find these poor kids.

BBM. The person interviewed is a reporter for The Sun. IMO he's way off in his speculation.

I wonder if she'll be only asked about the missing kids or about the murder attempt on Brandon as well. Regarding the fist case I expect her to play dumb and an innocent victim in the second.

This attorney is saying that no way is Chad going to testify in Lori's child abandonment trial if he's not given a deal/immunity.

Can he be offered a deal that is tied to another case or different charges?

I wasn't referring to Lori's attorney but to Crime Talk host on YouTube who is also a defense attorney in his day job.

There is definitely not “always” a right to a jury trial—details vary by state, but in general, for example, less-serious crimes, family law cases, probate cases, etc. might not be jury-eligible. In AZ at least, lots of regular civil claims are also not jury-eligible because they did not exist at common law at the time the state constitution was ratified.

I stand corrected. Seems to me State by State law is a good thing to review before writing. But I presume AZ allows criminal defendants to a jury trial in all cases.

On the other hand it's quite interesting to ponder that he would not be supporting her defense against these charges, and plead the 5th because what he says can be used against him. It kind of gives the game away, and such a move would appear to reveal his lack of confidence that investigations will not turn up evidence he was involved in crime/s.

MOO

OT - by chance just read about "The Jolly Black Widow" Nannie Doss, who killed four husbands, two children, her two sisters, her mother, a grandson, and a mother-in-law. Reminded me of this case.

ETA: "Many of her victims were family members with insurance policies she could cash in on, and she frequently crossed state lines after each kill to elude police attention." link
ETA2: "Her string of murders would have been enough of a curiosity, but she made an impression with her upbeat demeanor. She seemed to enjoy her notoriety, and even joked about her dead husbands with the press." "Her weapon of choice: arsenic, which she stirred into stewed prunes, coffee, or moonshine"

Wow :)

Deny, deny, deny. At this point, what do they have? I can see them walking away from all charges.

If she gets her bail lowered and is released, something is very wrong with this country!

They may win in court but I cant imagine them not being charged for something.

Not child abandonment IMO. That seems like a sure deal. Of course Chad hasn't been charged with anything yet.
