Didn't CV say at one point that Lori was reading things? I think I was surmising that CV figured out that Utah was the place the weird apostate ideas were coming from, specifically because he looked at the publication data on the front page of a book, or a "Contact Us"/"FAQ" segment somewhere.

April, in Hawaii, said Lori was reading Chad's books for years..when Charles and Lori were living there. So, I feel pretty certain, that Charles is just referring to Chad and his publishing company. Chad's name as an author alone was probably in Charles' and Lori's household for years.

This is the most common way I think of the word warrior: Stripling Warriors

Imo these people have taken some ideals of mainstream LDS culture and cranked the volume up to 1000. Imo extremists exist with everything.

I sent my brother some of the Mow books/writings and the podcast with Jason, Melanie and Lori. He was just livid how he felt they were manipulating and twisting very specific elements within the Book of Mormon to achieve this "worship me" scenario. All Mow's book are about wars and warriors.

It truly does seem to be such an evil and slippery slope to mess with peoples' minds this way.

BBM: So, (1): any ideas on who were the "Utah people"?

(2), what about "going on for four or five years" (!!)?

I think this seems likely to mean "Lori involved in PAP/AVOW" and that those were the "Utah people", than it does mean "Lori directly involved with Chad", but; who knows at this point??
"Utah people" - could there have been a conference or gathering of some sort, of PAP or AVOW groupies, in Utah? That Lori attended and Charles knew about, but didn't care to explain any more about it? MOO?

If it had been going on 4 or 5 years then Chad would have still been living in UT. Maybe Charles didn't get the update that they moved to ID?

That's what I think too--it's not as though Lori was going to say anything or give Charles any information about her (at that point) idol/obsession. Moo.
EDIT: Justed checked the time line again, and Chad moved to Idaho in mid 2015, about 3 1/2 years before. So not sure if "Utah people" is him, PaP , or something else. Moo.

Oh, that’s interesting... thanks. I wonder if Alex’s autopsy results were congruent with what you would expect for someone with regular medical checkups. Any of our medical people know?[/QUOTE]
ETA @squareandrabbet

Depends on how thorough those check ups were, but I certainly hope LE is comparing the records to the autopsy report. Maybe this is a reason why the ME has released the autopsy report but LE states that they are continuing to investigate

She would need a recommend if she was going anywhere in the temple. If she was going to a visitor center instead (possible) she would not need one. Also imo possible going to the temple was a cover for other things. Also imo possible she had a temple recommend and was going about her own ideas. She may be that conniving. All jmo
She could have just been going to the temple grounds every day. It is very beautiful, and has palm trees, flowers, water features, etc., the kind of environment she seems to enjoy. She could pray all she wants there, to whomever she chooses. Moo.

Yes I forgot that option. Thank you! This is a possibility as well. Idk if we’ll get a true answer to this question. There still seems to be a lot of mystery surrounding Lori despite all we know. Jmo

there does now... but as time wears on, all these things will become clearer, IMO.

And meet with anyone. Anyone who’s wife may have been at work. JMO

My focus is on finding the kids. There is a lot going on behind the scenes that can't be posted on the forums because of the TOS.

If you believe the kids are alive as I do then you know that there are 3 people they cannot be with: Alex Cox because he is dead, Lori because she is in jail, and Chad because he is under a microscope. Unfortunately these are the only people we are allowed to publicly post about here. Yes, we can repeat things shown on MSM about the wider family as well but none of them are going to say anything incriminating on MSM. So basically we are only allowed to post about the 3 people that definitely don't have the kids.

So many of us are digging deeper on our own. There is a LOT that has happened with our cast of characters in the last few years that seems to point to a much bigger operation and much deeper connections among a very large group than can't be explained by one woman wanting to get rid of her kids. Many were surprised to hear Charles say in the recently released video that this has been going on for 4-5 years. I was not surprised at all. The breadcrumbs have been out there for several years in public records and elsewhere. Things seemed to start happening in at least 2017 and likely going back to Chad's decision to move to Rexburg.

Yeah. I have the impression that LV is nothing more than a side show from their point of view.

I've lived in Rexburg for over thirty years, but I'm not an active Mormon so I'm out of the loop, and I've never heard anything about this kind of a group here. Doesn't mean that there isn't. It might explain why Chad hasn't been arrested yet and why it seems nothing is happening. If it's even bigger and involves more people, that will take time to sort out. I keep going back to something Nate Eaton of EIN said in the second (I believe) Dateline special. He said he got a call form (law enforcement?) and they tipped him off. They said imagine the most wild, out-there story you can and multiply it by 100. Sorry, I don't remember the exact quote but it stuck in my mind. Maybe it's going to blow us all away when it all comes out.
FWIW, my hypothesis is not that the group is a bunch of people from Rexburg. I think it is a loosely associated group from around the country, mostly LDS-rich states like Idaho, Utah, and Arizona. I think they share a vision about the end times coming from Chad's books, various pod casts, fringe websites, and so forth. I think they plan to converge ssomewhere this summer. I don't even necessarily think they have ill intent but I do think they are "out there" in their religious views. Groups like that tend to be secretive with outsiders.

I think Chad had at least thoughts of a plan when he moved to Rexburg.

The whole end-times movement has been gathering for years, in many flavors of religion besides LDS. One of the earliest I remember is Hal Lindsey's Late Great Planet Earth. More recently there was a big best-seller from a psychic named Sylvia Browne, I think it was. Stuff from New Agers and people into esoteric traditions. With the rise of the internet there's even more of it, easier to access. I could go on but I think I won't.

I'm not sure whether Chad really believes this stuff, or if he's like a dungeonmaster getting off on manipulating the game, or if he just sees an opportunity to piggyback on it and make money.

The one I remember that actually became a “church movement”, was

“Edgar C. Whisenant (September 25, 1932 – May 16, 2001) was a former NASA engineer and Bible student who predicted the rapture would occur in 1988, sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 13.[1]He published two books about this, 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will Be in 1988 and On Borrowed Time.”

I know completely sane and Godly people that believed it and filled their garages with nitrogen packed canned food. Humans, maybe any of us can be very gullible at weak times in our lives.

I don’t recall hearing Lori and Charles had a nephew living with them when she took his truck and clothing and locked the doors. Is the Zach mentioned AdC son or another nephew? (Charles talks about him in the new bodycam footage released today).

Has anyone seen this? I messed up posting it in the incorrect place. However, I am wondering what the reason would be for CD taking all of the families belongings to the landfill. Is he planning to skip town ? We know LE has to be watching his every move. If he is getting rid of all his old furniture and plans on replacing it, why is he changing the plates on the cars? Does this man really think that he can out smart LE? I have been digging for more on this , but have been unable to find anything else. Perhaps someone here knows more.

I had not heard that one.

I haven't studied it in detail, but it appears from what people are saying that the July 2020 date is one that's pointed to by a number of quite different movements.
