Yep...same questions.
Who do you mean with the statement "LVD just happens to show up at one of MGs church classes (but were they PAP) and LVD introduces herself to MG, perhaps planned in advance by DC (who??) and LVD (huh??) Jason is part of this but I really don't remember or know who DC is?
Sorry , I meant CD (Chad)
Sometimes when I get typing fast, I mix up my letters LOL

Maybe Means did not attend on purpose as to delay the inevitable. I would be more likely to believe that imo. Not sure why he would do it 0n purpose though, doesnt the state already have temp custody but I have a hard time believing an attorney would forget a court date with all sorts of reminders available. Is he really that bad or is this some sort of strategy. Maybe he wants to be fired who knows jmo
Thank you! Yes definitely possible. Who knows what game/strategy he is after. This is definitely a tough case. I do feel like he is in a little over his head. All jmo

Friendly insertion. :)

I think the discussion regarding TOS being ignored, wild claims, not linking factual info should be discontinued.

As frustrated as I get, even discussing well . . . what we've been discussing is against TOS.

But right now, we have part 1 released today with parts 2 and 3 coming. We need the thread to stay open and no TOs issued so we can continue discussing this interview with each other.

I get it. Trust me. Scroll and roll. Or ignore. It's a super helpful feature.

Jmo
I agree. We want to hear the interview and anything else is a distraction ATM.

Not to speak for them, but I'm assuming DC was supposed to be CD (Chad Daybell) and LVD is Lori Vallow Daybell.
Correct-- I transposed the C and D while typing too fast LOL

Status of JJ guardianship. Hope I linked this correctly

Mark means fails to show up for Zoom conference call

IF we go with Chad as the manipulator, what do you think he’s doing behind the scenes? Lori is in jail, out of his direct reach; however, indoctrination doesn’t go away just because of distance. Plus right now, they have a common enemy (or even enemies) to keep them bound together.

Now this i am not so sure about but the fact that he and lori are sharing the same lawyer is a good indication he may be passing messages to her that way still continuing the manipulation.

He hasn't been charged with anything as of yet. I really don't think there is a conflict of interest yet. Jmo
Absolutely true and I almost added that factoid in my post as a disclaimer. That said, if Loris defense is Chad made me do it and they are both his clients, thst is a conflict of interest.

Snipped...

I've made the argument that Lori likely had a lawful claim to half of CVs life insurance proceeds. People here want to believe she did not and that is fine. But, if the man owed me $200,000 and his widow, who was also his business partner, had a claim on life insurance that could be used to pay be back, you can bet your life I'd be putting the squeeze on her. Now, I'm a law abiding guy so I'd do it in the courts. But people with a disregard for authority just might resort to more extreme collection techniques.

At this point, it is obvious Lori has nothing. There is no motive. I would think a verified loan & claim in probate is the best way to guarantee being paid.

From the interview with MG it seems like the "inner circle" was Chad, Lori, AC, MP, ZP, and MG. Correct?

Now if MB was so frightened she went into hiding, it seems MP and ZP either stayed on board or they're clueless.

Opinions?

Edit: I had initials wrong.

Have we heard from ZP? I haven't followed everything on this case but it seems that is the missing piece of the puzzle of players for me (actually there are probably loads more that I don't even know).

Outside my husband, I couldn't tell you whether anyone I know does or does not have a Temple recommend at the moment. It would be pretty hard for people to use something as a status symbol that very, very few people would ever see. It isn't something one hauls out in a business transaction or social occasion. That would be horribly gauche.

I understand that it would be hard for Chad to speak to the Bishop about having an affair or about his totally divergent beliefs, and the consequences for that might be something people can notice. But we really don't go around presenting this card to people or discussing it. You show up for an appointment for a private interview, very few people are around in the building at the time; you leave with or without it, very few people are aware which of the two it is; you present it at the door of the Temple and put it back in your wallet, relatively few people you know are sitting in your midst while you are there.

So your impression is consistent with one person's experience....mine. :)
This is my experience as well.

However, we're answering how it could be possible for two people to have allegedly gained access to the temple and performed (or imagined to have done so) some private ceremony therein given the obvious deviance to the standards required to gain entrance. Simply put, the recommend is valid for two years unless some confessed or known accused sin caused it's invalidity. Secrets kept are a likely reason.

I'll skip the whole temple garments discussion as it seems to have resolved. I'll just add that though the garment is an undergarment, they are often visible at the waist when a shirt and pants don't cover when someone is crouching, stretching, or bending. White undershirt collars are seen as well.

It is private. It may be possible to make an educated guess if a person is endowed, but that doesn't actually tell you if they hold a current temple recommend, only that they once did. The only real way to know is if they volunteer that information.

And quite frankly, I've never experienced any social/business ramifications, subtle or otherwise, from not having a current temple recommend. I've never felt ostracized or shunned or any lesser or not been given opportunities for work for not having one. And while it is possible that it may happen such behavior would be inappropriate for a true follower of Christ. We believe in trying to help all people, no matter where they are on the path of life. And so while they may not have the opportunity to attend the temple without a temple recommend, a good friend and Latter-Day Saint would try and help another person to aim for and reach that goal, not disparage or shun them. MOO and experience.

So if Tammy and their kids never attended any events, imo, Chad had the perfect set up to be as sneaky as he wanted with mingling around with Lori. But what else could he be hiding if he was hiding this whole other life?

Rexburg is a different matter altogether regarding temple recommends and outside life. Even though a person keeps the secret of holding a valid recommend, there is a bit of open secrecy with it. If one has sinned to the point of recommend being revoked, it would be hard to keep it a secret. Call it the potato WiFi if you will (Hey, Hawaii has the coconut wifi). The sinful action alone would be known around the neighborhood and ward, possibly around town. Depending on how severe it was, callings are released, the revoking of the recommend, disciplinary action and potentially excommunication would also be assumed. Just look at the reasons for the move from Springville to Rexburg as an example: was it because Deseret Book pulled CD's books citing wayward doctrines? If so, IMO it's enough to see that the next line of questioning in the local ward would be whether recommends and right to hold callings are intact. Also see how many people assumed that CD was excommunicated when Tammy died, though that was not the case. Some secrets are not as secret as we'd like to think.

On the other hand, temple attendance is no secret either. With Rexburg's 90%+ LDS membership and many, very many of them active participants weekly, you've got a different experience. I haven't gone to the temple in Rexburg without seeing at least one person I knew. I would almost guarantee if two people such as our POIs were seen in the Temple together there would be questions. I seriously doubt they attended in any place together whereat they would be independently known (Rexburg or Gilbert, possibly even Idaho Falls or Mesa). The Boise PAP conference in Feb 2019 is a possibility MOO, but that's just my speculation.

I assume you meant "from the interview with MG" as MB is MP.
I disagree. It seems to me that MP has tried to distance herself. ZP, I just don't know. She appears to be avoiding as much as MG was.

So much for hiding the interview location.

Thank you, I edited the dizzying array of initials.

My thing with MP is she's given interview(s). Jmo

Yes, and I meant trying to distance herself from CD and LVD.
