I wonder if CD'S kids are going to visit him in jail tomorrow? Happy Fathers Day!

My personal opinion, even if they gave him a pass on their Mother's death, and marrying LVD. The "dead children bodies", buried in the yard...no, at that point, there is a definite problem here.

Are his children still supporting him?

I'm not sure it matters. They have unknowingly been subjected to several forms of ongoing abuse, and watching their Mother being abused likely in every way but physical (but probably sexually) for their entire lives. Then told it is the highest form of love of the bestest of men.

Their settings for what is in fact normal is likely seriously altered. They should be seen the same way you might look at the Turpin children in some ways.

Didn't babysitter say that there wasn't a bedroom set in the other bedroom, and that JJ slept in Lori's room.

If MG an DW stayed at Lori's, there must have been another bedroom set? Was this a 2 or 3 bedroom condo?

I thought from this that Alex maybe had a bedroom for JJ as well. Maybe MG and DW stayed with MBP, whom it was said had enough room for minimum four kids?

On the bright side, this could mean JJ occasionally had some fun and was allowed to burn some energy with Alex.

IMO Today I realized throughout this ordeal I gave Chad and Lori and Alex waaaayyyy more intellectual credit than I should have. Thankfully they were definitely not criminal masterminds and for all the families affected I am glad they were really complete morons.
MOO if the results for Tammy come back inconclusive I can only imagine the text exchanges between Chad and Lori. “Today is the day! Xoxo”
Also will be interesting when looking through Chads documents when he started drafting Tammy’s obituary.

I'm starting to think of them as "the 3 stooges luck out for awhile". Jmo

RSBM To cover it up as they did, and their actions and statements afterwards, should be enough to disprove insanity. Ugh! Bless those kids hearts.
JMO

And keep in mind that she did indeed get a quickly eval due to CV after she and MG and TR were at the police station. So I'm sure that would come into play where she might have on record that she does NOT believe that CV was a zombie and that he was another man in his body (unless HIPAA?) ;)

GRAPHIC DESCRIPTION
On page 10 of the affidavit notes that charred and uncharred bones and tissue were found. Unbelievably, Chad thought he could burn a human body in a large outdoor fire. I am not a murderer, but even I know that doesn’t work. I think he realized that it wasn’t going work and scooped everything up and put into the ground. Someone (here I think) hypothesized that they learned their lesson, and just wrapped up JJ and buried him. I think all the other bonfires were the adult kids.
Apparently, murderers think they can burn a body in their back yard--(Ayoola Ajayi in Utah is another example). I think the adrenaline surrounding the activity of murder and death throws out a lot of common sense.

I would consider that a screening for admission, not an evaluation of any sort. Was she a danger to herself? No. Was she an imminent danger to others? Apparently not. You are free to go, Mrs. Vallow.

I sure hope so. They appear to both have grandiose behavior. God like ideas. Can't say how sorry many others didn't know what TR & JJ were experiencing at the time. May they rest in peace, you kids are loved.

Also.

Chad sitting in his car watching the FBI search, took off when they found "something". His Lawyer said he was going to turn himself in. Why?
If he were innocent, he would have no idea what they found. Both him leaving and his Lawyers statements implies he knew exactly what they found.
I guess he was afraid of getting in trouble be the authorities for killing and burying a racoon. They are both frauds.

I'm not sure this adrenaline rush entirely would apply to Chad. He is quite comfy dealing with bodies and death.

And if my wild guess is correct, may have not been the stellar employee that we've heard about in that regard. His casual and what I think might have been ease, stealth, and speed with dismemberment suggests practice.

Didn't Chad initially plan to sell the house after Tammy's death? That way he would lose control over the property. What if the new owners found the bodies or allowed police to search in the backyard? Bringing in cadaver dogs would probably suffice.
I can’t decide if burying them on his property was a really stupid plan or the result of no plan at all. Or a combination of both. I have read interviews with homicide detectives who say that there is always some freak out when some one kills another human. No matter how detailed the plan, something is always forgotten or done wrong. After trying to burn Tylee and expecting a small amount of ash and getting an awful disaster, Chad decided to improvise. Once one was there, a second didn’t make any difference

Idaho does have the death penalty. This seems to fit the criteria for Capital Punishment, especially since JJ was disabled.

Does anyone think that this could be a death penalty case?

I don't think they will seek the death penalty. I think legally they could as you point out. But Idaho has only executed 3 people since 1976 and has never executed a woman.

It seems clear to me that Alex committed the actual murders. I think there is a good chance Lori conspired with him. But I don't think an Idaho jury would vote to execute a woman who only conspired to get rid of her kids. The prosecution would need extremely strong evidence of a conspiracy to get a conviction at all. And even if jurors were convinced there was one they might be reluctant to convict if she was facing death.

I don't think Chad was necessarily involved in any conspiracy. He helped bury the bodies and will do time for that but I don't see him being charged with murder of the kids. He might be for Tammy.

Once again, it depends on what additional evidence is found but based on what we know now.

I don’t believe Alex did anything without Lori telling him too. The morning Charles was murdered Lori was yelling at Alex and we don’t all of what was said but in part it was about him being a failure , to step up, to be a man. Alex was Loris puppet and henchman . Since the autopsy results of AC I wondered if it was possible to die of guilt and maybe not but you can die bc you stress yourself to death . If not guilt then worry. Alex and Lori both have weird relationships with their family . Alex more the black sheep. It’s gross bc at least four people TD, CV, TR, JV are all dead bc Lori and chad wanted them dead. Alex killed them but without Lori he wouldn’t have done it.
I’ve really been trying to understand why Chad fired a shot that day and (we know he did bc to cover his tracks he told TD and his kids) I assume he only told them bc he feared someone had heard him fire a gun so he had an explanation prepared. I had thought Alex probably went to Loris apartment and strangled or suffocated Tylee then carried her to his apartment and then took her to chads but I have this horrible thought process now that says he was at Loris apartment so long that morning bc they drugged her and were waiting for her to die and she never did....maybe she was unconscious or even worse maybe she was in and out or loopy (they could’ve used JJs meds) but she wasn’t dead so once at the property they shot her. They dismembered her and tried burning her body which didn’t work so they tried burying her and covering her body . It’s bothering me a lot .
BBM-- I don't believe it was that same morning that CV was killed that LVD and AxC had their fight in the street. IIRC

Someone posted both Chad and Lori’s arrest affidavits in the same document. I read it last night and now I can’t find it. Anyone have that link? TIA!

Every other assault/murder that Alex committed was in their defense, even if it was a lie. He failed with Brandon and Tammy it would seem (assuming both were him). Alex seems like an unlikely candidate for murdering the children, without the motivation for their defense he couldn't kill two other people.

However, transporting? That seems likely.

Respectfully snipped and BBM

What's the no luggage thing about?
It was noted by the babysitter in her statement to the police as odd that MG had come to visit but had no visible luggage when she showed up at the apartment from the airport with LV and AC.

When I think back to the initial articles and interviews about Lori, I just can't reconcile it with the Lori we know about now.

She evidently really did do a 180 when Chadly came along or she had EVERYONE fooled....I just do not see her ever being a good mother and so many described her that way in the beginning.

Shaking my head...
Go back and listen to CRs last interview. If you listen closely it was not all peaches and cream, especially between marriages.

and I have always thought...maybe it is just still in the car?? Why does this take on such meaning?
I don't think it takes on much meaning. Just a random observation by the nanny, and LE routinely ask you to note anything you found unusual. But luggage or not, I believe we now have other confirmation that MG was there for the whole weekend, and (apparently?) also DW for part or most of it.

Rather than continue a discussion about something we've been specifically asked to avoid (LDS doctrine, policy, practices) I would simply point you back to my earlier posts in thread #4 ( post #820) and thread #18 ( post #1278.)
Thanks, I'm following up. There are some ver insightful earlier posts.

Your hypothesis re: CD--being casual and not prone to an adrenaline rush might be correct...an altered state of mind based on depersonalization might fit Chad better...
