I don't see why it wouldn't be worth a try, at least.
Education, up to a certain age, is mandatory in the US.
If they can't prove the kids are in school then basically they are breaking the law.

Just watched the news conference with Kay live.

From it she was asked how she knew Lori was having an affair with Chad. She said Lori wasn’t tech savvy. She says in the email sent folder there appeared videos of Lori dancing that were sent to Chad in January of last year.

It’s interesting to me your conclusion. I quit watching after 40 or 45 min in.

I came to a different conclusion. I agree- I’d like her a lot as well.

I felt like she believes the children are alive and truly with a stranger.

I also came away feeling like they may or may not be aware of all the legal options in front of them. Granted if the kids are not alive it would be a moot point and possibly that’s why it hasn’t been done. They haven’t filed for custody I don’t believe. I’d be interested to know what would happen if they did. Do they have an Atty helping them? Someone should be pro bono.

Also forgot to add that I believe Kay confirmed Lori (Tylee) was receiving SSI death benefits and that JJ could be but she didn’t know if he was. She imagined that Lori would have filed for those.

I'm sorry, but all about sex? If this whole thing was about nothing but sex (or an "affair"), my faith in humanity just dropped 50 percent. How shallow and pathetic can somebody be? Maybe about love, or lifestyle, or money, or freedom - but not just about sex. You gotta be kidding.

Killing husbands.. a wife.. a brother..a nephew.. and/or possibly 2 children? Knowing you'd be facing life in prison or the death penalty if caught? All to have sex with a 52 year old man (even one who has lost weight, has a tan, wears puma shirts, and has a "spiffy" haircut), or a 46 year old woman (even one with blonde hair wearing jeans with no pockets, has a nice purse, and is a good dancer)? I haven't been following this case very long but this is infuriating and I hope investigators can get to the bottom of this!

There is just something about this womans pictures and her actions that make me feel that she is evil. Smiling for the camera and having a pool party right after her husband was killed?
Intentionally letting the children's family worry and wonder for so long if the kids are alive?
And she is supposed to be religious?

Well I don’t know but I personally don’t know too many Uber religious that send videos dancing to the opposite sex and end up marrying them? Well heck, I don’t know a single Uber religious person that would be remotely ok with marrying anyone that had been married 4 times prior even.

I sorta think at this point, they may have been told not to attempt to file for custody. I believe it would muddy the waters and delay things.

And I could totally be wrong. But her body language and the way she’s speaking definitely resonate with me in the way I said. I think she may react to things a lot like I do.

Y’know... I just realized, there’s already a case of some sort. Has to be, otherwise there’s nothing to protect. Or they might be preemptively saying that, I suppose, because filing was imminent. I suppose I’m inclined to think they’d just say instead that there was no case, rather than that a non-existent case was protected... right?
