Can we back up a hot second? Where is it stated in MSM or from a VI that Lori said she was hiding the children due to a custody battle? Jmo. We keep circling back to this mythical custody battle that was taking place on Sept. 23, 2019 when Tylee and JJ both disappeared. Who was taking them both?

There was a custody battle when CV was alive. It was in the divorce documents and also mentioned by LV in the police statement released today. That battle went away with CVs death but did not go away in LV's mind IMO.

I think this narrative about the custody battle came from Chad/Lori’s inner circle of like minded people such as those from AVOW or the authoress. That’s how I recall where it came from. MOO

I am not sure about that. If it was an S corp and was income and withdrawn to a personal checking account could be ok? I am not an accountant or atty. Also it doesn't fit with why she was worried about CV and Adam talking.

There is no custody battle until yesterday and it is definitely not over money...UNLESS maybe you mean Lori wanted JJ w/ a divorce of CV for some reason financially motivated?

I will say this: we should possibly investigate how they pay disability in AZ. It might be possible that JJ got state DD benefits and that was in the form of a cash payment. I think in AZ they have always been ahead w/ paying for Autistic benefits under disability. I am familiar with someone that got benefits this way years ago. It may have changed. Yet, Lori moved to Idaho...so i am not sure that DD benefits would be it either.

Jj may also come with his own large trust fund IMO.

Could be a similar reason as JJ. Monetary benefits from the deceased father's estate and/or insurance. Whoever has custody could get the funds for support of the child. MOO.

That is what Lori wants everyone to believe so they can buy the reason the kids are missing. Poor Lori and all that stuff. It makes no sense that anyone would handle a custody disagreement (and there wasn't one) the way she is. Because she is doing exactly what one would do to guarantee they will lose their kids. She's definitely not acting like she wants them anyways. She isn't taking care of them. She's too busy having fun in the sun with her new hubby.

We will have to agree to disagree.IMO, this is not about custody, and all about Lori doing what Lori always does. And that is getting rid of anyone and anything that gets in her way. She told CV she was going to do exactly that. And she did.

I agree with you, I think this has nothing to do with custody, I think that was an excuse for family and friends to explain away where the kids where, and I think even a lot of the religious stuff was a scam for money more than anything. I think the heart of this case is Chad and Lori's affair. MOO

Agreed. She hasn’t helped her friends CD and LV or the poor kids all. It’s obvious that not seeing your kids for four months would not help anyone. It would raise so many red flags, especially if you’re sunning yourself on a beach in Hawaii with husband number 5. Of course family members are going to be concerned. Especially after so many recent deaths. If anyone cared about them and the kids they’d be encouraging them to co-operate with the police and the fbi and prove the kids were still alive and safe. The rumours have done nothing but add fuel to the fire. MOO

But once the fbi and police are questioning if those kids are even alive those trust funds (if they have them) would surely be frozen? Surely not giving proof of life would put a stop to that?

UPDATE from Kauai PD: There were not any arrests made in this case today.

"We're just on standby waiting for Rexburg PD... honestly I don't know what the status is on that."

I think Rexburg has a minor problem. If they issue an arrest warrant for criminal contempt against Lori, they can bring her back, try her, and she will likely get minimal punishment. And that card is played. If they (Chandler PD) try for something more serious they have the issue of lack of evidence. Yes, I am convinced by the circumstantial evidence that she probably killed Charles and possibly the kids (though I am far less convinced of that). But a prosecutor needs much more actual evidence. Similar with Chad. I think he killed Tammy. But there needs to be much stronger evidence. Even if she was poisoned that doesn't necessarily mean Chad did it so if the autopsy turns up a poison I still would not expect a quick arrest.

It’s frustrating that those who cannot be named narratives are still believed though. There’s no giant conspiracy at play here (and I love a good conspiracy theory), it’s people genuinely concerned about the welfare of two missing kids. People are rightly worried sick as to what may have happened to them.

Too many people in here thinking "if it were me or people like me" when in reality they should be thinking like Lori's if the want to help to get to the bottom of this. and if Lori thinks this is a custody battle approaching it any other way would be ineffective - IMO but carry on.
