That is awful. I hope he has good people around him and I can definitely see him eventually telling her no, but it sounds as if the young man wants to give his Mom a chance to change
i dunno.... imo... i have some real trouble with CR........ can't figure it out tho.

Well, now we know who purchased the wedding photos- GMA/ABC. Did you catch their term, Exclusive photos they obtained?
Ah ha... yea. How many of us had them on screenshots first. Lol

You are correct. There is much circumstantial evidence to suspect the murder of adults in this case including possible motives; however, there is little to build a motive on killing her kids. There are many parents who want to be free of their kids but they are not murderers. There are countless deadbeat parents running around these days who have nothing to do with their children. Lori has family support who can take the children and she has, according to her beliefs theoretically, a motive to hide her children out somewhere.

According to the detective hired by BB, "This is obviously centered around their religious beliefs." New details come to light about family members of missing Rexburg kids

I just don't see anything in those beliefs that indicate she would kill her kids. Is it possible? Absolutely. Is it possible they are in hiding somewhere? Absolutely!

This part is absolutely true, my ex husband gave my son to another family in an informal arrangement without my knowledge because he no longer wanted to deal with him. He hid this for well over a year, just collected him from the other family when I flew up for visits. When I found out and reported it, they refused to let me see him and there was not one thing anyone could do about it, nothing they had done was illegal, and they just shuffled the social security money around.
Having said that, I am fairly certain that JJ and TR are no longer alive, for many many reasons. Moo.

Hello everyone. It's been a while but I decided to return back to this site to see if the collective can help me out with two things about this case I am not able to verify independently.

As background, I had to step away for a while but I live in Idaho, close to the area, and this case certainly got my attention as it started to grip the local community. I have been looking into this on my own (as in, away from this site) when I decided it might be a good time to come back from the cold and seek help.

Now the two pieces of contradicting stories I am looking for help with:

- When was Lori married? I see information that says November or couple of weeks after Tammy's death and also articles that say "recently" alluding to a December/January wedding. Is there marriage license information that solidifies that date?

- Where was the cell phone found? Again, I see reports that the cell phone was found with Lori in Hawaii. But I am also seeing reports that the cell phone was found in the storage area. The later would mean that the cops have the cell phone and they can examine it. If Lori has it then, while it might be assumed that she was the one using Venmo and sending those weird texts, no examination can be performed.

Example of contradicting stories from actual news sites:

Phone of missing Rexburg girl found in storage unit

Cellphone of missing Idaho teen found with mother, source says

Thank you all.

The timeline states from the divorce documents:
"the dog’s collar so the dog can go wherever JJ goes"

So presumably she took the item that states Bailey was a service dog and lets the dog accompany him wherever.

Not to mention she also took J.J.'s medication and refused to give it back.
I am suddenly just so sad....as I am back to thinking about this dog. How could she ever have done this. If she loved him, never would she have gotten rid of the dog. If she had no feelings and just manipulative- but needed to hide him, the dog would even be important even for behaviour control... I have been with CaseFace on my 50/50 on hidden or dead..... The dog being sold (and his scooter in the storage locker) are making my percentages seriously shift.

Really all religion whether a cult or not has this effect on a lot of people. Trying to save you from those who are going to respond to this saying your Mormon brother isn't in a cult. :)

MOO.

Read the article on the one saying the phone was found in the storage unit. The headline is wrong and contradicts the story. Most stories have clearly said the phone was found in Hawaii.

Someone else will have the exact date, but it is early November (11/5 or 11/7, I think) when the wedding apparently happened on the beach in Hawaii. There are pictures from that wedding floating around and I believe the date comes from the timestamp on the photos that were taken. Good Morning America apparently was showing some just this morning.

Ooh. New video there of Lori and Chad going into church on Sunday! Can we figure out which church location that was they were shown entering? I think it must be this past Sunday (Feb 9) and not the Sunday we heard about before (Feb 2). Someone was waiting for them to return and ready with a camera. MOO.

ETA some quick pics:

New questions for parents of missing kids
It looks like the Kapaa LDS church judging by their website and FB sites.

ABC only showed a couple of wedding pictures. Justin showed a lot more and the Fox 10 video in question is still on the website.

If Melani didn't want her own children then why would she ever take responsibility for Lori's? MOO
Well she turned up and trespassed with a supposed court order to try and get them back. It didn't work.

Libertarian = law breaker IMO. Taking matters into ones own hands. Disrespecting others privacy and stealing their phone, money, vehicle, belongings, sending brother to court with a taser to harm ex, having brother come over to deal with trouble, smiling and laughing at cops when ex is laying dead on the lounge floor. Is that a libertarian's actions?

While a political orphan, if someone were to ask me to pick something I guess I would be closer aligned with libertarianism than any other movement. To sum it up, it is the desire to be left alone and be able to maintain what is mine with no outside influences telling me I need to pay some kind of tax or fee for the "privilege" of ownership. It is also the belief that others can do whatever they wish as long as they are not harming others. For example, people can smoke pot all they want as long as they don't drive while stoned and kill someone. In terms of religion there are similar attitudes: if you want to worship Satan in the comfort of your own home knock yourself out but if you want to kill people for Satan that changes things. It is a "live and let live" attitude.

Libertarianism does have two extremes on each side: anarchism on the right (self explanatory, desire to self-govern instead of any government authority) and a form of decentralized socialism (the believe that individual actions forming a community is far more beneficial than government program) on the left.

I personally disagree with both those extremes. I only hold on to the belief that I am a free man and would be super-duper fantastic if I were left alone which is why I identify with libertarianism.

Would I be a law breaker however per your definition? Absolutely not. I am aware that my beliefs do not trump the laws and therefore I must begrudgingly conform. For example, I firmly believe taxation is theft but I pay my taxes. When I wish to change the system I vote for libertarian candidates but do not simply break the law.

And in terms of taking matters into my own hands would probably be true if anyone harmed my dogs. :)

So do I sound like Lori to you?

TR was never very active on SM. Even years before any issues she made very few posts
RSBM (I hope I got that right?)

Someone mentioned a week or two back here on WS that Tylee was active on SM, but using Snapchat and other SM platforms that don't leave a public footprint. Anyone on this forum have knowledge of 16-17 year olds today and their SM use? Does that seem reasonable?

There is a chance that LV has hidden TR & JJ in a bunker somewhere.

With or without an adult. TR probably has a better chance of looking after JJ than most adults.

A couple of sacks of rice and a way to cook it... literally any basement will do. If these are preppers they will have access to all manner of hidden lockable places. The owner might not even know kids are there. How often do you visit your emergency bunker.

Other option is TR could have been married to one of CD supporters. So many marriages. Could hers been missed. Could her husband then be hiding her and JJ.

There's so many strange things another crazy thing wouldn't even make a difference to the crazy level of this case.

Stay positive people and think outside the box. What would be crazier? Its just possible with this case. You might just think of the key and crack it.

MOO

I do not agree, I do not think a 17-year-old is providing better care than most adults.

Married Nov 5

The phone was with Lori. That headline about the storage unit contradicts their own story.

Thanks! When I bookmarked that page just yesterday the story was matching the title. Oi...
