Last one, I promise. Did Rexburg PD treat all three town homes (Lori's, AC's, and the friend/sister person who I think everybody thinks was maybe MB and possibly ZP) as potential crime scenes (luminal, etc.)?

I think I read that Chad moved out of his house in Salem around (or just after) 10/24 because everything reminded him of Tammy (or.. maybe because everything reminded him he just killed Tammy, but I speculate and digress). Anyway, I assumed he then moved into Lori's town home, so I would'nt find it surprising if he was at the storage facility 10/28 (probably not too out in the open..)
I assume that you are assuming correctly. Where did his kids think he went at that point/so soon? To Hawaii to grieve/work on a book? But he was actually running around Rexburg with Lori? How would he explain that if someone he knew saw him? The mind boggles. MOO

In addition to the autopsy results (IF poison was cause of death) and any evidence re: procurement of the poison, I think the most significant evidence still out there which might contribute to solving the case is digital evidence (which I guess takes a long time to obtain authorization to collect, and then even longer to search/compile). Cell phone pings/gps's, vehicle GPS's/on stars, business and residence cctv videos, license plate cams, etc.

I'm kinda surprised that Rexburg PD didn't immediately request business and doorbell video from Rexburg residents between 9/24 and 9/30.

Eta (when they first posted on Facebook in Dec that they were looking for the public's help in finding the kids)

I don't know that a lot of folks in Rexburg, Idaho even have all of those fancy gadgets, doorbell cameras, videos. I am sure that some businesses might have videos.

Crime is not really much of a problem in Rexburg. And the median income in Rexburg is fairly low in comparison to other areas of the country, while the cost of living is lower, people in Rexburg tend to have more children, and less disposable income to buy doorbell video cameras. Maybe in higher income areas, which Lori did not live in.

Was AC and MB (if she was ever there) gone from there separate town homes by then? I assume so. They were in Vegas getting married just a couple of days later

Just now having time to jump on here after watching the Dateline special tonight. Wow.. lots of new info on that program. That Kay used Charles's password to get into his info and see that an Amazon package was delivered to Rexburg, and that is how she found where they were at. WOW!

I'll go back and check. Maybe he didn't first move in with her until a week or two later, after they got married. Maybe someone can help

Law enforcement officials have said that JJ and Tylee may never be found. There is a lot of evidence.

The storage unit was searched in November by police, there was plenty of information about when Lori goes to storage unit, heavy totes. Man struggling with totes. October 28th, a man puts a bike in storage unit, with Chad.

No totes in the storage unit. Dateline is going through the pictures and stuff in storage unit. Talking about the kids bikes. Ex wife of Alex talking, Tylee's Aunt asks for Lori to do the right thing. Last scene, is Lori and Chad going down an escalator, back to cameras. Lori is definitely not wearing any LDS temple garments, shorts and tank top.

That is all for this edition of "Dateline".

WTH? Where is the new information? Zip.

I wanted for them to ask if Cadaver dogs were in the unit.

I think that they probably did check the townhouses as crime scenes. And probably did not find any significant evidence, otherwise Lori would have been arrested.

Of note, cleaning products like "Oxyclean" use oxygen to clean, and can actually remove blood evidence.

I'd be concerned if I were April. Aren't they all on the same island right now?
I'd be concerned as well if I were Kay, Larry, CV's ex... Hell, if I'd ever met Lori Cox Vallow Daybell in my life I'd be worried. Not as worried though as I would be if Alex Cox were still alive..

If you had Lori's cell phone and laptop, AC's cell phone and laptop (if he had one), MB's cell phone and laptop, and CD's cell phone and laptop, I think you could go a long way toward solving this. Having Tylee's phone (which they found in HI) and JJ's laptop (? maybe in storage?) would possibly add to incriminating evidence.

Communications in the cloud (even if deleted from a device), phone location GPS, online searches / map searches, e-mail receipts, photos/locations/time stamps, purchases, etc.

Do we know how many of those devices authorities might have?

I missed the fact you stated above that Tylee's phone was found in HI. Hmmm. Why would they take a missing girls phone to HI? (rhetorical question)

Did we know before Dateline aired that Chad was seen on the video of the storage unit on October 28 just days after Tammy’s funeral? Not just in November with the bikes?
I believe that is new information.

From a previous thread so I can't quote. But I wanted to comment on something jethro4ws said:

He quoted Idaho statutes about jurisdiction based on residency. The problem I have is that every state makes an overly inclusive claim about residency because that gives them tax claims. But as I learned when I moved to Hawaii, a US citizen is never a resident of multiple states. In my case I was a resident of both Arizona and Hawaii according to their individual laws so effectively I could choose. My long term intent based on my behaviors mattered, not so much the specifics outlined in statutes.

That said, the Idaho statute cites specific behaviors but also intents. Lori could have enrolled JJ in school as a babysitting service. If she intended her stay in Idaho to be temporary then she would not be a resident. So any jurisdictional claim would have to establish her intent.

You can't just dump hazardous materials. IMO Alex was transporting those to special facilites and there was likely supervision involved.
Transportation of hazardous materials is extremely well documented! Every jurisdiction it passes through gets a fee so routes are well known and recorded.
