One more observation on Dateline - both Hawaii Friend and Missionary Friend state that end times according to both Chad and Lori will bad. It was insinuated that it may be better for the children and maybe Tammy (?) that it would be better to wait it out in the peace of death.

LE - please arrest these people. They are a clear and present danger to society.

Ahem... about "expecting the phone call", it just occurred to me... did this mean that Lori was expecting that Alex would "take Charles out" during this time frame? I realize the answer to this hinges largely upon whether or not Lori's so far gone that she thinks God would randomly smite dead her enemies just because she deserves it; but so far, the evidence is heavily weighted towards Lori believing she needed an enforcer to carry these things out, so I wonder.

I read on here that he had a girlfriend in Columbia that he saw regularly at one time.

You're probably right considering the number of shots fired at Charles (4 according to the officer's bodycam footage), the paintball gun that didn't fire, the shot that missed BB.

I totally keyed on that too: that, according to their beliefs, being dead would make it easier to ascend during the End Times (I believe the gentleman said something about not having a body to worry about during ascension to heaven and then he made a cut-throat motion to indicate being dead). IMHO it provides a reason why the kids might be dead and that might also predict more deaths surrounding the Daybells as we get closer to July.

And trust me, I want them to be arrested too. But if they are arrested without enough evidence to make a case they literally get away with murder. There's no re-do in these kinds of cases.

Oh yeah, I forgot that in my rundown - can't wait to watch the last hour I missed, lol.

I was going to point out that this seems to exempt Chad's children, and then I remembered, of course this exempts Chad's children.

We were recently told by someone whom I can't remember, that since he wrote "most" of his children into his End Times books (literally, by giving the characters the names of his sons and daughters), that he thinks they are also part of the 144,000 - excuse me, "have parts to play in the End Times", but it's the same thing - so that explains why they're all still running around unscathed.

I think it's high time that that FBI agent reading through Chad's canon, (a) gets to the end of it; and (b) starts interviewing all the Daybell kids, because I'm now finding it hard to believe that Chad hasn't apprised them early and often of the great new roles they will have to play after July 22, 2020.

I would definitely watch the Dateline episode if you have it available. While it mainly skimmed over what we already know there were some new things.
I watched it live and also have it recorded and can go back but what was extremely interesting is how the media and LE worked together before they served the warrant in Hawaii. I wonder what else the media is possibly holding back on right now? Something that was strangely absent was no mention of Melanies quick marriage? They talk about BB shooting but that is about it. Could it be correct that Melanie is working with LE? (Someone unverified posted an e-mail in other media) That could be a reason to make her off limits? I know time constraints to the program would not allow every detail but thought it strange they didn’t throw it in with Alex’s quicky marriage. IMO

This is what I learned that was new:

• Lori was a fitness instructor
• Lori met Chad at the group that we cannot name Podcast in February 2018
• Lori and Tylee stayed with her friend in Hawaii during January/February 2019 when Lori leaves Charles
  • Friend reports extreme change in Lori’s behavior- disorganized, talking manically about Chad and end times
  • Tylee may be depressed or behaving like a bored teenager (sleeping a lot) at this time. Speculated by Keith that all the obsessive talk about death by Lori may be depressing her
  • Tells Friend that Friend is chosen to be one of the 144k to be saved.
  • Tells Friend that Charles is a demon. Expects him to die soon. Reiterates basically the behavior Lori stated in police report when she reported her purse having been stolen by Charles (he is mean, abusive, unfaithful, etc).
  • Friend doesn’t believe it.
    
  • Lori leaves Hawaii abruptly
  • Friend hears that Lori is back with Charles and assumes happy reconciliation
  • Lori knew ZP (Alex’s new bride) as early as January 2019. She told Lori’s Hawaii Friend that she was amazing and could control the elements
    
  • Lori is not afraid to die. Compares it as if walking from one room to another
  • Lori is not upset by other people dying based on this concept of this changing room transition
• Dateline has the Chad and Lori podcasts but likely for legal reasons, could only play a snip of one, Lori affirming Chad’s beliefs
• Chad and Lori returned to Rexberg after their wedding- no date given
• Chad definitely knew Alex and Alex became one of his followers . They referred to this as one of the “group”
• Dateline and Nate believe 2nd man at Storage Unit is Chad

MOO, I took away from the show that LE do not believe the children are alive and that they may never find them. This is very hard for me to accept. It seemed to implicate Alex as a murderer of Charles and attempted murderer of Tammy. He followed Chad and may have been considered angel/protector of Lori. There seems to be enough circumstantial evidence for conspiracy to commit murder across state lines. Only upside I hope is that they charge all of them - LVD, CD, ZP, MB, IP and anyone else the Feds can find. I continue to have strong faith in the Feds pulling this mess together.

Personally, when Lori is arrested I would appreciate LE removing her sunglasses and stepping on them.

RE: Lori as a fitness instructor. Did she possibly teach Zumba classes? Tammy was doing a Zumba class and a clogging class at the time of her death. Is it possible Lori really did get a "job" teaching one of those classes in Rexburg? Could Lori have gotten close to Tammy that way? As a fitness instructor, she could have recommended certain supplements or even given a "sample" of something for Tammy to try. Speculation only.

Months ago, whenever I first heard Tammy was doing Zumba, I looked through Zumba leader profiles to see if Lori had one. I saw one that could be Lori but I couldn't be sure if it was her (it was before we had very many photos of Lori). I can no longer find the profile I was looking at previously. @diggndeeperstill did you ever look for a Zumba profile for Lori? I'm not sure if that type of thing could be searched with the "wayback machine" to find it if a profile was removed or made private? Zumba Fitness - Classes, Apparel, DVD's and Trainings

I don’t think I have ever been so put-off just at the sight of someone... her constant smug look, smiling and laughing on the body cam footage from when Charles was killed. But, while we were watching the Dateline episode last night, I actually commented to my husband, “Does this woman EVER remove her sunglasses?” Aside from a couple of photos, they seem to be permanently affixed to her face. To spite how “made for the movies” this absolutely bizarre case is, it didn’t seem to gain quite as much traction with MSM as other cases like Gannon Stauch. I first started following it back in December after a short article on CNN about JJ and Tylee being missing. I would check every couple of days afterwards, and new info was sparsely reported on. Hopefully, the Dateline special will make more people aware, put the pressure on those involved, and people will start talking. Fingers crossed!

I think I read that Chad moved out of his house in Salem around (or just after) 10/24 because everything reminded him of Tammy (or.. maybe because everything reminded him he just killed Tammy, but I speculate and digress). Anyway, I assumed he then moved into Lori's town home, so I would'nt find it surprising if he was at the storage facility 10/28 (probably not too out in the open..)

I was told that Chad left his house the night of the memorial service in Idaho, after spending the previous days in Utah for the quick funeral and burial. Further, he told his children he was staying with a friend, but unbeknownst to them, the friend was Lori.

I have a problem with the idea of needing to be married to a believer. If LV and CD think they are gods or will be leaders of the chosen 144,000 or whatever it is they believe regarding the end of days, are they really going to give a hoot about these drive-through marriages? Surely they don't hold value for the marriage license issued by the state of Nevada because Nevada will be gone soon. The certainly have no religious regard for a justice of the peace.

Times like these I feel we are trying to apply logic where logic doesn't live. MOO

I see it less as a religious necessity and more as a legal necessity. Remember: spousal privilege might play an important role in this case.

IMO Alex's and Melani's quick marriages could have been a part of their cult's belief system to gather hand picked cult couples that wold survive the apocalypse. Lori and Chad "saved" those people in exchange for blind loyalty.
