That's a term I have heard all my life. I have been reluctant to use it here in case it is offensive to some. But I think everyone I have ever heard use the term was a jack mormom himself.

Honestly, nowadays not so hard to shop anonymously. You get a prepaid card, burner phone and a disposable email. The company really only needs to verify that the payment method matches the billing address. The billing address could be a USPS or private mailbox. But, good point, she probably had to adjust her online shopping habits.

wow...just this one little piece alone...shopping for a wedding dress, while all the plans being made to kill Tammy. Aside from all the craziness in this case, this particular fact is just downright heartbreaking. I hope Nate can ask her about this question right in her face someday!

Somewhere I heard someone attacking Chads dates... that somewhere there is prophecy that July 2020 IS significant, but not as the END of the world, rather the BEGINNING of the civil war leading up to whatever is going to happen later.... So I believe this specific date is buried within this AVOW group, and wish some ex-AVOWer would speak up.

Speaking as a former AVOWer, "prophetic" dates come and go like running water in this group. As with other cult-like groups. This group, and especially the higher ups in it (of which Chad was a part), sell and profiteer off of fearmongering. It's big business for them, this fear . As long as they can keep the sheep coming back day after day, month after month, year after year, they can keep fleecing them of their money. Selling dates, overhyping news reports (I bet they're having a field day with the coronavirus!), and marketing dreams (they've used one of mine without permission and in one of their for-profit books), visions, and the Holy Grail of Near Death Experiences, are all tools in the toolbelts of these people in doing just that. They twist and pervert the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it's leaders to fit their goals and paradigm, using religion as a mask to peddle their vile refuse and lend legitimacy to their claims and narrative. But I digress.

I wouldn't pay any attention to supposed dates with this group. They'll come and go without event. And then they'll come up with another one by doing some complicated quasi-mathematical equation based on some arbitrary and obscure astrological event that they somehow tie into scriptures or prophecy with a healthy dose of New Age mysticism and energy healing mumbo-jumbo to convince others that February 29, 2029 is the day to prepare for the end of the world - and if you subscribe now for just $5/month you'll be granted super secret insider information that will guarantee you a spot with the first ones called out to places of safety! Ok, I'm done digressing.

In short, I don't know how this July 2020 date came about, but I seriously doubt Chad and/or Lori truly believe in it. It's most certainly a means to an end - a way to scare others and therefore exert control or influence over them for their own selfish and nefarious purposes. MOO.

Is it possible they had a sealing ceremony in the Temple first on Feb 14th? Or is the Temple ceremony always after getting a civil marriage license? Charles reportedly converted to LDS for Lori but I don't know if he converted before or after they married.

Alternatively, I wondered if Charles possibly proposed on Valentine's Day and they got married 10 days later in Las Vegas?

Or maybe Kay is simply remembering the wedding date incorrectly. CV did sign divorce papers on Valentines Day 2019 and being 10 days before his 13th wedding anniversary that must have been difficult for him.

yes... i am a bit familiar with Jack Mormons...because my brother's family refers to some family members as such!!! But this was more in the habits they had...drinking coffee or smoking cigarettes or the like....nothing like these accusations and possibilities with CandL... do you really think that Jack Mormon would apply to them..........seems hard to believe!!

I think their beliefs are key, but not the LDS part. I also think AVOW is extremely important.

I have been digging into some stuff on the sidelines and have found a lot of strange coincidences related to people who have not even been mentioned here. Unfortunately I can't post any of it here. I personally think IP, MBP, and ZP are important.

I asked many threads ago if there are others in the local area (Idaho) who have kind of dropped out of society starting last summer. I've actually found one or two that have not even been mentioned on here. It's all so very strange.

A sealing in the temple requires legal documents and local church documents, regarding the worthiness of members (legal marriage certificate and temple recommend, from their local bishopric/stake presidency) and also, if any minor children will be sealed to them .

I was going to quote some posts but I don't want this to come off as a bash against anyone in particular.

I feel like people are focusing too much on Idaho being rural, western, conservative, libertarian, below mean US income, "podunk", full of LDS members, and all the other generalizations I read here. This case has nothing to do with any one state. There are LE agencies at the federal, state, county, and local level in Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Hawaii, and likely more working these cases. There are small town police, rural sheriffs, big city detectives, DAs, coroners, Medical Examiners, and more working these cases.

Everything would be the same if the kids disappeared in Los Angeles or Chicago or in your town. No kids, no proof of crime, no charges. In this instance it seems to be related to a cult related to the area but next year it will be a different cult, different state. Let's not blame the region or the people in that region, let's blame the people that committed these crimes.

Do you think most of the AVOWers are true believers or do you think most are just paying $5 a month for entertainment? I ask because I'd like to get sense for how many people would actually take action in response to a call to action. Southern Poverty Law Center lists them as an antigovernment group as someone noted, one of only 15 in Idaho. Do you think there could be a core group maintaining a compound somewhere? Or do you think they are all talk?

I believe one of her friends or possibly a family member told that to media? So it is not confirmed proof. Take it with a grain of salt but you're right, if it's true, that is going to be a big red flag.

omgoodness. I guess we have to say this is MOO (meaning you)...but oh how I Thank you for this raw honesty... I have always felt these "cult" things have been just as you have stated....but for some reason I have felt that even though they are considered "fringe" and "extreme" LDS they were somehow accepted by LDS. I am truly grateful to your outright denial of their work, efforts and goals. I would believe that most LDS folks would not buy into all this, but I truly truly hope more and more might be influenced not to do so...even if it is because of the notoriety of this case that dissuades them. We have been "trying to understand" how this doomsday belief activity influences our Main Characters............but your words really help explain how horrible these cult activities, wherever they are, influence any group of people......Matthew 6:24. Did they investigate the death before LE in Arizona called questioning the related investigation in AZ? Probably not, the coroner in Idaho signed off with “natural” cause of death for TD.

I thought two the timelines indicate that CD was excommunicated, yet, the church wouldn’t confirm or deny.

As he is going to church does it give us any insight into him being excommunicated or not? Would transferring or not transferring records have any impact on this process?
