Is there a link that explains the tickets to Mexico? I thought that was just a possibility discussed?
Dateline says "we were told Chad and Lori had changed hotels and were planning to catch a flight to Mexico."

Sounds like they have inside sources.

For those who haven't watched it yet, there's a link in the article for where the episode will be posted :

“Dateline NBC: Where Are The Children?” airs Friday at 8 p.m. on KPVI. The episode will also be posted online here.

We now know that LE found the Storage unit with all the kids belongings (even scrapbooks, mementos) and knew that the kids had not traveled to Hawaii with Lori and Chad back in November. I recall that back in December when they asked for the public's help finding them, they said they believed the children were in danger and I think it's because Lori and Chad lied about where the kids were, the storage unit had their things in it and the kids were not with L and C. To me, since there were deaths involved, it was a reasonable concern for the children's welfare. MOO
A reasonable concern is not evidence though. Would be enough for a search warrant but then if they found nothing more, that could mean no grounds for an arrest. Then then served the January search warrants and still no arrest so still no grounds found presumably IMO.

I can see that too but she paid Oct, Nov, and Dec didn't she? It was only the January payment that got refused which could be the probate if it was a card on a joint or business account. If you were using it as a dumpster then you'd only pay one month surely?
With the money she's spending in Hawaii, I see no reasonable explanation for why she didn't pay the storage fee in Jan and February. MOO Except if she no longer cared about those things. IMO

I don't know, but they won't be able to go to Mexico without them, and since we were told that they were going to Mexico, I assumed that they had passports.

They will need new drivers licenses to fly by October 2020, to meet "Real ID" requirements. Or a passport. Unless they obtained them previously.
Lori has a recent Hawaii state ID or driver's license. It complies with Real ID.

Do you really think she would take her own daughters life? I just imagine 99.9% of human beings wouldn't be able to bounce back get married and honeymoon and show face in the media if they're gone. Once the kids are found this case will lose probably lose a lot of interest so maybe it's just a sick game LV really wants to play. This is her twisted and psychotic 15min of fame... and she loves it. HAIR DONE -MAKE-UP DONE- Slick Sunglasses - BIKINI - ba duh du da duh SHES LOVIN' IT...
Casey Anthony did the exact same thing!

I agree. I cannot find a motive for her killing the kids. The husbands, sure; however, not the kids. If she wants to be rid of the kids, there are better ways to go about that such as signing over to a relative. If she really is "all about the money" it would be too much of a risk to her plans of living out a fantasy life in Hawaii as some allege. Perhaps she said she doesn't like her kids or she wants to be rid of them; nevertheless, that is not a motive; it is the statements of a bad mom. What does she gain from killing her kids? There are multiple adequate places/resources for her to hide her kids out somewhere due to the group with whom she is affiliated. She would hand them over to them before letting non-believers get them. moo

Bro, SHE IS ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS. I 100% agree with you on everything. It's insane the mess around her, and there isn not a BOATLOAD of evidence against her through Text, or Email. I agree that we haven't even scratched the surface on the number of properties these "END OF DAY's" groups have. In New Zealand I saw an article how TONS of millionaires are building bunkers there.. it's a HUGE business that's not talked about. TBH though, I think she's could be using JJ as a ransom possibly but in a very dumb-blonde holding him ransom sort of way - totally illegal - might actually work - might get her thrown in jail - but she wants the $$$ - And wants the Woodcocks to shell out big bucks for him or she can volley it into a media cash grab to do interviews, movie rights, books, podcasts who knows...

Yes, I absolutely do think she would take her daughter's life as well as JJ's. And as evidenced by all the dead people around her, anyone else she feels is in her way of being her godly self.

On the Dateline episode, her friend April described Lori's view of death as something as simple as walking from one room to another and from everything we've learned about Chad and Lori, her description probably fits best for their particular brand of crazy. Chad thinks, or wants others to think, he has one foot in the real world and one foot "on the other side of the veil" where he can talk to the dead as they carry on living their best lives.

Lori has clearly had an unhealthy fascination with death when it concerns people close to her for a long while and mixed with Chad's happy afterlife Lifetime movie claims, they created this toxic mix that gave them the green light for their full on shared psychosis. MOO

Yes I did. That's why i deleted it as OT but it was still interesting about removal of "markers" on passports to prevent travel.
The situation and "identifier" discussed at that link relates to a specific federal law passed in 2016 and only applies to registered sex offenders who were convicted of an act against a minor. It would not apply here. C&L are free to travel internationally.

Lori doesn't have a lot of money, in fact, she is probably deeply, deeply in debt. But she has a lot of ability to take on that debt, and that's what counts.

Chad's probably in the same boat, by the way.
RSBM

Interesting point about taking on debt. The obvious asset I see for CD that allows him to do so would be a home equity loan or cashing out some equity and taking out a 2nd mortgage. That doesn't fit my image because his kids still live in the house, he would be screwing over his own kids. In the laundry list of things done wrong in this circle that is a minor wrong, so maybe I am totally off base. The other reason I don't like it is the house isn't valued at much and he has only lived there a few years. In the traditional model of home buying in the US with a 15 year or more mortgage he might not have a lot of equity in the house.

I wonder about the publishing business. There was a bankruptcy but since it was over 8 years ago would that not affect credit?

MOO

Of note, Charles was a financial planner in his 60s. I would think he would have some $$$ saved. By law, retirement accounts must be separate, so it would be in his name alone. Many plans actually require the spouse be the beneficiary. I think she would be exempt from the early withdrawal penalty since she inherited the plan, but she would have to pay taxes on the amount as income. She might have withheld an estimated tax from her withdrawal to avoid the tax burden coming due in April. She doesn’t strike me as one who files taxes on her own. This could be a source of money she is living on. If she doesn’t file taxes and had any income at or above $12,200 in 2019, and doesn’t report it, the IRS can build a case. I bet Charles listed her as an employee since she had access to his business account. This would have covered both her and the kids health insurance. That baggie of cash she carries around may do her in.
All true. But it is well established that the IRS is still trying to collect taxes from 1988 from a close relative of hers. I don't think Lori is into dealing with government rules.

Exactly. More pressure on her. IRS got Al Capone ;)

IMO I am curious if anyone believes the "sighting" that was posted in the Idaho State Journal? I am a reporter with a paper closer to Rexburg and I was appalled at the lack of journalistic integrity it had. There has been evidence of her trolling the Facebook pages being very evasive about her "sighting".

Do a search for probate Texas. I'll try to help find it.

Here. Put "vallow" in the search

Web Inquiry
Just mentioning this here because it happened again. When I look up the guy CV apparently owed money to Linkedin tells me he is a 3rd connection to me. The thing is, many people associated with this case are that close to me and I don't understand why.

Do we know who's caring for Daybell's children if they're still in the family house?

  • #1,375
If you check Twitter and search Lori Vallow ---- ABC, FOX, NBC and all their affiliates are pumping the story now. The fact they left Kauai added a rush of interest from every media outlet...... pretty.. pretty.... pretty interesting

Speculation but if FBI don't want you to leave the country then you are not leaving the country IMO.
That takes a court order. FBI agents don't have that kind of authority.

Like I said we need a glossary. At least I know what karma and bugger mean :)
Mesquite/Kiawe is a thorny bush/tree that grows all over the southwestern US and also in Hawaii. I think it is common in south america as well, Chile/Argentina. The wood is great for grilling because it imparts an excellent smoky taste.

IIRC Chad has been to Mexico but I can't find a reference to that. When he went on his mission it was New Jersey, I think. Do we know where Lori went on her mission? Do we know of any places outside the US that either of them has direct links to?

There was previous discussion here about LDS related communities in Mexico and other countries, just wondering if there is any evidence of them ever leaving the US or having contact with "prepper" groups outside the US.
