Any devices would be important, especially cell phones and computers.

Other than that though, there can’t be much to seize.
Doesn't everyone encrypt their phone these days? Most do so by default.

if the two children are just fine then what is the logical excuse for hiding them? does this god just want a break from her responsibilites of day to day parenting of her two children?

Good question, where are the kids? Why drag out all of this drama?

I think the searches were more about intimidation and letting them know the noose is tightening. Because there seems to have been little chance they would bring anything incriminating to Hawaii.
I totally agree, I feel like LE wants to test them, learn the level of loyalty to each other etc. I also think they are concerned about the kids and don’t want to move to quick where it could affect the kid’s safety.

I wonder if Nate realizes that JJ's grandparents Kay and Larry, who he asked about, when he said "your mother Kay" are not Lori's parents? Kay is Lori's former sister-in-law, the sister of Lori's murdered husband Charles Vallow. And she is also JJ's biological grandmother-- Charles and Lori adopted JJ. I can't blame anyone for getting the relationships wrong as it's hard to keep straight but I wonder if Nate asked that question on purpose hoping to get a reaction from Lori? Too bad Lori didn't take the bait.

MOO.

I wondered about that too. I'm sure Nate know Kay's relationship and I assumed he just got it wrong, but it occurred to about the 5th time I watched the video and cringed myself at that point that he might have done it on purpose, hoping it would set Lori off. That was about the time that he knew he'd have to back off and stop asking questions and the questions seemed to become less of "let's have a talk" and more questions that seemed designed to set Lori off if that was possible.

Good grief, MORE narcissists in Idaho!

Just read that TD "died peacefully in her sleep" but is now being exhumed for autopsy. Am wondering why an autopsy was not done when she passed...did she have health issues that they attributed to her death? Seems odd that the death of a young woman, in her sleep, wouldn't be questioned and followed w/an autopsy.

I don't think they have enough to charge anyone with a serious crime at this point. If they try to book an international flight the options are limited from Kauai, possibly only Japan. So that means a stop in HNL where they can be stopped. If they do get on a Japan-bound flight in Lihue, there are 7 hours to notify the Japanese to stop them upon entry. So I don't think LE is concerned about them successfully fleeing.

Ahh. Good info.

MOO- but in my opinion the kids are not alive. I can't see in my mind any way that they are being held somewhere. This whole farce could end if the kids were produced...which is not going to happen. MOO

I would second you on this.

My reservation is that I think TD's death might be a separate issue.
I think Tammy's autopsy will end up not suspicious or inconclusive. Otherwise there would have been arrests yesterday IMO. Why the delay in announcing it?

I think if these two made any effort to flee the country, law enforcement would move on them (assuming they have enough to do so).

Even if it means expediting charges.
i've been under the impression that as soon as you book a flight TSA knows where you plan to go. so if they have booked a flight to anywhere besides u.s.a. tsa just selects them for additional body searches and questioninmg. tsa might turn it over to feds for attempting to flee/become a fugitive. my guess is if they show up for a commercial flight they have one country choice.

ETA: plus, the tv stations are probably gonna be all over them as they arrive. and may have a seat on the same flight so can be with them the whole way.

Most people put passwords on their phones, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be seized.

If they had enough to move on them, they would have moved on them the other day. They must have something, but not quite enough yet if they're searching the car and townhouse.
I think the searches were more about intimidation and letting them know the noose is tightening. Because there seems to have been little chance they would bring anything incriminating to Hawaii.
Keep in mind the warrant yesterday was for their persons and the car. Therefore, they may have taken both their phones yesterday for evidence.

I wondered same thing. Did he miss speak or say Kay to rattle Lori?

My thoughts run as such: Nate said whatever he thought he could throw out to try and betray Lori into a facial or verbal reaction, and thus misspoke in a hurry.

Or, maybe Nate thinks that the silent actual (grand)mother Cox, whom I know we can't sleuth, is involved in hiding the kids. (IMO, JMO, MOO)

One thing I wouldn't make the mistake of doing, is assuming that just because Chad and Lori are nonchalant on the topic, or living in the lap of luxury vs. a bunker, means anything vis-a-vis whether or not JJ and Tylee are still alive. What about JJ's missing meds and service dog? Or Lori's niece Melanie, quoted as not giving a dang if she basically never gets custody of her own kids either? I'd love to be wrong, of course.

But if there is a solution/answer to "where are the alive kids" in this case, it will, IMO, center around "the individuals who cannot be sleuthed", whomever that may be. Because we've turned over all the MSM stones on everyone that we know of attached to the Daybell/Vallow/Cox families.

NBCNews posted a photo about the finding of the Daybells, but it's not the Daybells photo...news media, would be nice if they got it right.

Keep in mind the warrant yesterday was for their persons and the car. Therefore, they may have taken both their phones yesterday for evidence.

And while they presumably didn't have enough evidence that they felt they could make an arrest for anything yesterday there is a chance (albeit, a slim chance, IMO) that whatever they found or took yesterday could potentially change that.

I don't know anyone who encrypts their phone. Unless you are doing something illegal, secret or confidential, what is the benefit?

You may be right about the kids, at this point I'm 50/50 on whether they are alive. If they aren't, that was the scariest perp walk I've seen in a while.
I wish thought bubbles were a real thing, I'd love to know what they were thinking while walking ...

If they did something to Tammy (or anyone else) they're probably thinking they were very lucky not to have been arrested last night. Maybe some high fives.
