They seem to have people all over. I listened to their podcast and they believe the "capitols" in the "war" or second coming of Jesus will be Rexburg, ID as the Northern capital and Mesa, AZ as the Southern capital.

Maybe our lovely couple is heading to Mesa? JMO

Are they connected to/of the same beliefs as the compound of offshoot LDS members in Mexico (who recently went through a tragedy of their own)?

AFAIK no. The Avow beliefs do not resemble the FLDS, or the LDS church. The LDS church does not does not recognize or approve of Avow. However, Avow tells their members that they are a secret society of the LDS church sanctioned by the LDS general authorities. And to protect this secret society, the LDS church will deny it's existence. What a crock. The Avow members buy the crap being fed them.

I know this is more than you asked. But I wanted to make sure people understand that the LDS church is not involved. In fact, I expect in the near future, the LDS church will make this clear to the public and their members.

Disclaimer. I am not LDS, but live in SLC. I do have friends and family that belong to the LDS church.

I just wanted to add that AVOW is not the only group, nor is it the “cult” that Lori’s family are referring to with a base in Arizona. The Arizona based group is called Preparing a People.

Yes Chad was heavily involved in AVOW, but AVOW isn’t the one shutting down its website and deleting podcasts. It seems this other group has quite a bit to hide.

This is my first time posting, so I hope I’m doing it right!

Interesting. Thank you for this info.

And welcome to WS.

Chad supposedly worked in a cemetery. Have police searched the cemetery for any "extrta" graves? Or looked into the graves of those died within the recent time frame? Or those who died long ago but graves look recently disturbed? I guess they will need a court order for that?

Where did you see that he worked in a cemetery?

He hasn't worked in the cemetery for quite a while. I'll find his blog post about it, one sec.

"I basically served two five-year terms as a cemetery sexton. I worked for Springville City from 1995 to 2000 before moving on to other jobs. Then I was Spanish Fork’s sexton from 2009 to 2013, before returning to Springville for a year.

I don’t think I’ll ever return. It’s a challenging profession, both physically and emotionally."

Do we know where Lori was when Tammy died? I'm starting to think she's the problem, here. Is it possible she was at their house and hightailed it out of there? JMO

Okay, we all know Tylee's dad was likely in the age window where guys seems to have fatal heart attacks with no prior warnings, but...those guys also weren't married to Lori.

Yes that does seem to increase your odds of an untimely death or disappearance.

Thank you! I know how much LDS hates being linked to FLDS, but wasn’t sure if they were similar to the FLDS. My husband was raised LDS in Provo (Mormon capital) and his family practices (he does not).

I am getting to this thread late and I know some people were tracking down prior divorces. I may have missed it so sorry if this is already known. What appears to be her first divorce can be found out of Bexar County, TX from 1996 (search under Cox, Lori). That is a divorce with children so she does have at least one child that is 22 or older.

My understanding was that there was a custody battle involved and Tylee was visiting her mom in HI when Tylee decided to stay there.

MOO

It's my understanding that the Dad was awarded custody,
That in itself makes it all nice and neat and tidy- both Dad's of the children deceased- out of the way, just like the wife Tammy.

Something sick and evil is going on here.

Interesting! I didn't know about so many husbands - would you mind sharing source for the 4th/5th? TIA. :-)

"In reality, Lori never had many maternal feelings toward Tylee because Lori was a typical Mormon mom who cared more about appearances than she did her own children"

While you gave us a ton of good info, easy on the broad generalization please and thank you :)

Per that DM timeline, does that mean the children weren’t present at Chad and Lori’s wedding? Is that typical for their religion? Did they have a courthouse wedding or a ceremony, do we know? (I haven’t checked to see any corrections they’ve made overnight yet so I may be wrong...)

ETA: were any of Chad and Tammy’s children present for Lori and Chad’s wedding either?

I'm not finding it. I found another Lori Cox married in that county but the middle name is wrong for the one I found. Can you link to the search page you used?
(Her full maiden name is Lori Norene Cox)

Case #1996CI18042

If you search Bexar County and use Cox as the last name and Lori as the first name the results will be 4 cases - the first is Lori N Cox and if you open that case you will see the full name of Lori Norene Cox.

@Jethro4WS

If my math is right, Lori would have been pregnant when she married in 1995. Then she divorced with an infant son. Lori's instagram also has her sending birthday wishes to an older daughter. I still have not figured out if she was married to the father of her first born child. Lori would have been about 16 when she had her first daughter. Lori went to high school in San Bernadino County, CA. Maybe you will have been luck than me finding out if there is a prior marriage in California? TIA.
