*Scheduling Hearing (@ am MT) – ID – Lyryk Altom (20 mos.) (Oct. 8, 2017, Twin Falls-taken to hospital & died Oct. 14, 2017) – for *Joshua Eric Molina (33/now 35) (BF) arrested & charged (March/2017) & arraigned (5/30/18) on 1st degree murder & 3 counts felony injury to a child. Will be retried on 1st degree murder & 2 counts of felony injury to a child. Plead not guilty.
Trial began on 2/25/20 for Molina only & ended on 3/8/20 with guilty verdicts for 1 count of felony injury to a child. Will be retried on the 1st degree murder & 2 counts of felony injury to a child.

4/24/20 Update: Will be retried for hung jury verdict on charges (1st degree murder & 2 counts of felony injury to a child). Due to the coronavirus the status hearing on 4/24 has been rescheduled on 5/6/20. 5/6/20 Update: Status hearing was cancelled due to coronavirus. Next scheduling hearing on 5/20/20.
*Amanda Jean Dunlap (23) “mom” – Next Status conference hearing on 8/3/20. Will not be tried until after Molina’s retrial.

One new entry for Joshua Molina....Supplemental Response to Request for Discovery. I also checked Amanda Dunlap and she also shows a new Supplemental Response to Request for Discovery. Other than that, nothing interesting to report. Covid-19 has definitely slowed our Idaho court system down to a crawl.

*Status Conference Hearing (@ am MT) – ID – Lyryk Altom (20 mos) (Oct. 8, 2017, Twin Falls-taken to hospital & died Oct. 14, 2017) – for *Amanda Jean Dunlap (23/now 25) “mom” arrested (Oct/2017) & arraigned (7/23/18) with 1 count of 1st degree murder, 8 counts of felony injury to a child & 1 count of misdemeanor injury to a child. Plead not guilty. Waived Prelim hearing.
Status hearing on 9/17 continued to 1/7/19. 1/7/19 Update: Next Status Conference hearing on 4/8. 4/8/19: Status conference hearing on 6/11, pretrial hearing on 7/22 & jury selection on 8/1 & 8/2, trial starts 8/12/19. 6/11/19 Update: Next hearing 7/2. Status hearing on 7/29.
7/2/19 Update: Next status hearing on 7/29. On court site jury selection dates 8/1 & 8/2 & trial date 8/12/19 no longer listed. Might be the same as Molina’s court dates. 7/29/19: Next hearing on 8/27. 8/27/19: Next status conference hearing on 3/16/20.
1/16/20 Update: Defense attorneys were still submitting Supplemental Responses to Request for Discovery. 3/16/20: Status hearing was continued to 5/11/20. 5/11/20 Update: Next status hearing on 8/3/20.
*Joshua Eric Molina (33/now 35) – Trial began on 2/25/20 & ended 3/8/20 with Molina guilty on one count of felony injury to a child, another count was changed to a misdemeanor, and Molina was also found guilty of that. The jury was unable to reach a verdict on the two other charges of felony injury to a child, as well as the first degree murder charge. Twin Falls County prosecutor Grant Loebs will decide whether or not to bring in another jury in hopes of reaching a verdict on the remaining charges. There is no word yet when sentencing will be. Status conference hearing on 4/24. Defense files motion & order to release jury contact info. 4/24/20 Update: Will be retried for hung jury verdict on charges (1st degree murder & 2 counts of felony injury to a child). Due to the coronavirus the status hearing on 4/24 has been rescheduled on 5/6/20. 5/6/20 Update: Status hearing was cancelled due to coronavirus. Next hearing on 5/20/20. No update as of 7/9/20.
