Hot Creek Road is not too far off I-84 and HWY 20....

This could change what was deemed a parental kidnapping into a homicide investigation. Both ways...the abducting parent committed a crime or the reporting parent committed homicide against the children and spouse, then staged this as a parental abduction. The likelihood of this being found is so minimal. There is sentiment burying two together...Some one took the time to dig a grave. This doesn't mean there are only two missing children either.

Once we have a better estimate and timeline, we should expand the search to UIDs around the same time in surrounding states. Suicides or homicides. She/He fled with the kids to Mexico, Nigeria, Egypt. The case runs cold due to international interpretations of the Hague Convention. But, the reality is, they never left the states. IMOO

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — The Elmore County Sheriff's Office says that they have determined that the human remains found near Hot Creek Road over a week ago are actually two sets of human bones.
The sheriff's office says the remains appear to be of two children, one possibly three to five years old, and a second set belonging to a child possibly four to nine years old. The two sets were buried on top of one another.

Good Lord. I did not expect that.

Yes, RE was in Idaho but probably before the time frame they're talking about. Makes you wonder, though.

What about Tionda & Diamond Bradley? Not sure on their connection to Idaho, but the ages and timeframe could work.

So.... that kinda eliminates Ruben right? He doesn't have a missing sibling?
I'm thinking the most reasonable explanation is Oregon Trail. Unless there is one I'm missing? I know there are a couple of sibling groups missing but wow...
Unless somebody murdered two different children and buried them together.

ETA: I see they say one of the people was older. Mother and child?

So missing teen mom and her toddler? Any of those?

I'm really leaning towards these remains being from the Oregon Trail. Hopefully the carbon dating will help clear things up.

RE was in Idaho in 1987, which would be 30 years ago. So a bit before the 15-20 year estimate--but if they're still considering the Oregon Trail possibility, there has to be some uncertainty about the age.

Also, his known victims in Allenstown NH are about the same age.

So maybe it could be him.

As soon as I saw Idaho, and that time frame, I was thinking about the Allenstown case. :(

It has some very nice shots of the area. Note that the bones shown are NOT the bones from this case.

Thanks for mentioning that Carbuff. I was looking at those bones and thinking, "Those really don't look like a child's bones". :)
