In referring back to the Wallis video: it surely sounded like he said 3/4 (or even 4/5) of the word "murder"... than he goes on to say LE can search as long as they put it back the way they found it.... interesting. Cursory glances at his property don't lend me to think that he cares about how his property looks!

ETA: (additional thought) and his statement does not (imho) gel with what someone close to the family would say in this situation...

I'm wondering that too. He seemed pretty nonchalant about the missing SUV especially when he said something like "I think I found it" (parapharased) but he did also seem to want to cooperate and have LE to look it over. :waitasec: Just to clarify, I don't think he's involved, but may know who could be. MOO

My guess is that until we know the person who had keys to his home and borrowed the car, only to have it reported as a 'theft' on Monday, we won't know much. If he's involved...why would he report it stolen unless he thought the missing child could be pinned on him? I agree, whoever borrowed his car may very well be the perp...if it was ever borrowed! We don't even know that for sure.

I'm watching the repeat of NG's show and caught that too. I thought his comment was rather humorous considering it isn't the best kept yard ~ and that pool!!

I'm curious what CSI did find on the vehicle ~ fingerprints, DNA, etc? In other words, any signs that somebody else had been driving it? People can think they've cleaned up a car but there's always something they overlook. MOO

Okay, so I wonder if he's lent this car out before. And the key ring would have keys to the house on it. The keys to the suburb were in it, weren't they? Or were they nicely returned to the table as well....you know...the ole "leave it as was lifestyle".

gonna try to give a voice of reason here. Im not gonna say its my voice, but its a voice...lol

Maybe in his mind the bf is guilty. Maybe he knows something that we dont as far as what was found at his house. I read that Wallis was closer to the bf brother then he was the bf. I have referred to the bf doing it or being the killer matter of factly myself because in my mind I do believe he is up to his elbows in this. I think its very possible it could have been a slip of the tongue. I think we have all said what we really think by mistake without having anything to back it up. If the LE has been saying we dont have a suspect so dont be making accusations then its possible he caught himself thinking out loud.

My gut is saying he isnt involved. He has no motive of any kind. I am also not so sure about the mothers role in this anymore. I was right up there thinking she had something to do with this, but my gut is now saying the bf got a little heavy handed while mom was at work and accidentally killed the kid. Him knowing his past knew if he was charged for this then they would nail him to a prison cell. In the state of panic it led to some stupid mistakes that Roberts body will tell.

Forensics can do a great deal with a hair, fiber, button, stains, etc. It didn't look to me like he cleaned it up...nothing looked cleaned.

We don't know for sure if the car was ever missing...just because he called it in stolen on Monday doesn't mean it was. It's just his word I guess.

I can see what you are saying... At this point it is all speculation here (brainstorming, etc).... Whatever may be the real story.... I sure hope that LE is able to uncover it...... and uncover it quickly. Thanks again for all of your bootsontheground information! :blowkiss:

From what I understand it was the neighbors who first noticed the suburban missing. The owner was out of town when it went missing. If that is the story then I would think the neighbors not being friend or family should be pretty credible.

It would be so nice if they would release just a few things for us to chew on. This knowing nothing is going to take a toll on me(us)

Idaho-native: Thanks for that info. I didn't know a neighbor first noticed it missing. I thought Evan Wallis was the one who said a person took it who had keys to his home.

Idaho - thanks for all your info. really appreciate your perspective and knowledge as a local. In case you don't know how to quote...go to the comment you want to quote, click on quote and it will appear in your comment box. Once you make your response, submit. If you want to leave a smiley, leave your cursor in the space you want it to appear and click on the smiley from the box on the right. If you make a single comment (not quoting) and want a smiley...click on advanced and a comment box will come up that you can put a smiley on. Just a few of the things it took me a month to learn.

Thanks for that information ~ it would make a lot of difference if he was just out of town and somebody came by and "borrowed" it. He knows who has access to his house, keys, etc. I guess we'll find out more details soon enough. I think LE has an idea what may have happened but they're just not telling us. Hopefully we'll know more tomorrow from the Coroner.

'Nite all! :seeya:

http://www.idahostatesman.com/mobile_channels/story/855363.html

"We feel tentatively that's him and we need to do the dental identification" Sonnenberg said. "That would be a bizarre situation...another kid the same size."

The report issued Tuesday does not indicate a cause of death, that is "pending investigation." It also says the place of death is "unknown."

"I'm sure a cause of death will be released down the road," Sonnenberg said Tuesday. "Everything has got to be put together to find out just what has happened."

Sonnenberg said water complicates his work.

"You can't assume as much as quickly," he said. "Now you have to add the fact that you have...decomposition in water which greatly complicates the case."

Those two comments got under my skin for some reason. How sad that this lil boy seems to be unrecognizable. That beautiful face. ugh.

I googled decomposition in water. I stumbled across an interesting link about decomposition in water. No pictures, nothing graphic that I saw, just some sort of UK forensic study on the subject. "Bodies recovered from water"

http://www.dundee.ac.uk/forensicmedicine/notes/water.pdf

"It is particularly difficult to distinguish ante mortem from post mortem injuries
because on the one hand water immersion leaches the blood out of antemortem
wounds while on the other hand post mortem wounds tend to bleed more readily
than usual due to the fluidity of the blood (particularly in areas of dependent
lividity e.g. face)".

I pray that they have an amazing forensic team. It really does seem to complicate matters that lil Robert was found in the canal. God rest his soul. I hope he is playing and laughing and skipping all over paradise right now.

Do we know where the mother works? In most cases we would normally have heard if she was at work and what time she left.
