Details of Disappearance​

Swaner was last seen in Blaine County, Idaho on June 27, 2001. He has never been heard from again. His car was later found abandoned at Fisher Creek in Custer County, Idaho.

Robert “Stubby” Swaner, of Bellevue, remains missing after disappearing near Fisher Creek north of Ketchum in Custer County. His vehicle was found. Swaner is a borderline diabetic and manic-depressive and requires medication. Swaner was known as a “free spirit” who often trekked alone in the backcountry, so his disappearance in June wasn’t immediately alarming.>>
