Thanks for this link!
'The name of the victim in smith's case has not been released'
???
Perhaps it was to minimize publicity in order to preserve the suspect's right to a fair trial?

I wondered whether it concerned an entirely different victim?
And that is what I thought from reading yesterday's headlines also.
Is it possible?

The arrest and murder charge tells us that Taryn's manner of death is a homicide and we can trust thorough toxicology testing is underway by the coroner. Hopefully, we will soon learn the cause of death.

It was 2019 when the children tested positive for hard drugs. We have no information that drugs were involved in Taryn's death.

Since the first degree murder charge it makes me feel there may already be visual injuries to her little body and head showing how she died at the hands of the suspect.

Of course toxicology tests will also be done as you noted.

My hunch, based on nothing other than a hunch, is that someone else is going to be arrested. Speculation only.

Then again, I thought another arrest would have happened by now, so I could be totally wrong and there is, in fact, only one person responsible.

Edited to add: It might be that Gem County will be the jurisdiction to release the information. jmo

It's unclear how much time passed since her murder, isn't it?
Not sure when preliminary autopsy will be completed.

Did Taryn attend school the week before she was reported missing?

There is just so much unknown at this point.
When was Taryn last seen? She was reported missing on April 12, but was it the suspect who reported her missing?

I can't for the life of me find it again, but when the tent went up in the yard, did anyone notice the open trunk of a car seemingly under the tent? I thought to mention it at the time I saw the pic and should have. I am wondering if she was found in said trunk. I definitely think something was found with her, or on her body to prove murder immediately, no future availability of just "hiding a body" after she passed away from natural causes, accident, etc.
Since the other children were reported missing and seemingly nothing came of it, im wondering if she felt more comfortable to report her missing right away since she hoped they would handle it the same way as the other children.
all MOO!

The media were asked by police not to take pictures because sensitive objects would be removed from the property. Maybe the pictures you saw were later deleted. I have come across one statement with a similar message (without mentioning any pictures).

Yes -- I recall this was about the same time that media reporting live from the scene (Airport Rd) were told not to film because "sensitive property" was going to be moved.

There's a picture gallery at the link below (part of an article). Picture 5 shows a red car in the yard. Is that the car you saw?

I don't believe anyone else will be arrested for this precious little child's murder, but we will see.

It doesnt take, but this one horrid woman to kill a small defense child nor hide their body covering the murder up.

I think you're right.
I was wondering if there was a second victim when the news of her arrest first broke.
It was very fast.
Did somebody tip them off?
They simply must have substantial evidence to charge her so quickly.
I imagine she was a flight risk once the little girl's body was found too. They had to move fast.

I've been thinking of the older children receiving this news, they must be devastated beyond belief.

Yes! thank you! that's the exact picture I wasn't finding earlier. It's not the red car with the trunk opened, but a black one just under the tent with the trunk opened. they must have checked the trunk of the red car first. (if only they would have done that when Gannon was initially reported missing) moo
