Ideas for book title

I like that title eileen.....
Dave--have you picked a title?

Yes, I have:

JonBenet Ramsey

How Wealth and Politics Won Over Truth and Justice

Kudos to whomever suggested it. Sorry I can't remember who you were just now!

I think my title makes a lot of sense because what other trial that never occurred would have been as big as JBR's? The Black Dahlia and the Jack the Ripper case were from another time, and there's obviously a limit to how big trials back then could have gotten, due to the size of the media. I could be wrong, but I always thought that the Jack the Ripper case and the Black Dahlia case didn't become big cases until years later.

Another trial that never happened was the Tupac and/or Biggie trial. I could see that being big for celebrity news, but I couldn't really see it being on CNN, ABC, FOX and appealing to middle America like the OJ Simpson case did, especially if they were killed as a result of gang violence.

The Zodiac trial would have been similar to BTK, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc. Big, national news, but not OJ level.

So IMO, if Patsy and John had gone to trial for JonBenet's murder back in the 90s/early 2000s, it probably would've been ranked between OJ Simpson and Laci Peterson in terms of publicity.

I heard somewhere that twice as many media outlets promised to cover the Ramsey trial as did cover the OKC bombing trial.

This murder occurred over 14 years ago. There are people who have never heard of JonBenet Ramsey...so how about a book title that describes her more...like her age.

The murder of 6 year old JonBenet Ramsey...

How wealth and politics won over truth and justice.

JonBenet's murder is one of the most high profile murder cases of all time. It really is irrelevant that the case occurred so long ago, especially since this case comes back on the national news every few months or so. People who have never heard of JonBenet Ramsey aren't a big enough group to be concerned about when thinking about a book title. Even Ann Rule's book about low profile cases have titles like, "Every Breath You Take" and "Bitter Harvest".

Dave....160 media outlets agreed to cover the Ramsey murder trial. 74 were covering the OKC trial. I'm not sure how many media outlets covered the Simpson or Peterson or Anthony trial.

My first thought for this was "Untruth, Injustice and the Unamerican way"...

When I 1st saw this thread, my 1st thought was, 'Behind Closed Doors'. the cellar, the politicking, but most of all the Ramseys, at home when no one was watching. MOO.

Hi, Dave. I had never seen this thread before, and I see above that you say you have a title, but I want to share this anyway. It's a line I heard someone say, I think here at WS. Just a sentence that sums up the frustration with the endless circles you can go around in thinking about this. I suggest two ways of phrasing it; neither is a traditional style of book title, but...

Somebody Killed Jon-Benet

Well Somebody Killed Jon-Benet.

I think the first one with ital is better. That sentence just always captured it for me from all angles.

Here's another one: "An Angel Betrayed- How Wealth, Power and Corruption Destroyed the JonBenet Ramsey Murder Investigation".

"Death of Justice". Maybe everyone who bought into "Death of Innocence" will read it and know the truth.

Hi, everybody.

You know, the events of these past two+ weeks and my newly won exposure to the world of true crime has inspired me. For several years now, I've considered writing my own book on the case. Trouble is, I can never come up with a title that suits me and sums up the case (ie, would interest people enough to get enough mass exposure.)

So what I'm asking is for suggestions. Anyone can throw their hat into the ring (no pun intended).

Bumping this thread because I'd like to hear from SuperDave and how his book is going. TIA
